Sonia Kashuk Double Ended Brush Set

Hi everyone!!How's your Christmas? I got this brush set as a gift from my aunt and I just want to sharemy thoughts on this. I was quite giddy when she gave this box to me. I was like WHOA!! double ended brushes!! finally!! haha..

dsc 046
Price: $21.99

It is a four piece brush set made of synthetic fibers/hair. It really looked enticing inside the box.

dsc 048
The white pouch that came with it looks soo neat and portable!!I wished the pouch was in black or silver shade since white could easily get dirty.

Picnik collage
contour brush/blush brush
At plain view, this brush was my favorite!! I really wanted a contour brush all this time.. While taking pictures of it,, this brush was shedding like crazy. The bristles was a bit soft but i also find it scratchy!! SIGH..

eyeshadow brush/angle eyeshadow brush
The eyeshadow brush was really soft. The angled brush was to thick for liner application and too stiff for shadow application but it was really good in filling in my brows..

foundation brush/ concealer brush
This is made of synthetic fibers which I really do not like. I obrserved that brushes that are made of synthetic fibers when used with liquid products tends to be really scratchy and it pricks my skin too. I have yet to try the concealer brush.

eyebrow comb/crease brush
The eyebrow comb was really huge and the bristles are really firm.. I love it.. The crease brush is nice too but I love elf's blending brush more!!

dsc 047
This brush set is really good for beginners however the bristles are not that good as compared to my ELF studio line brushes. I thought this brush set would satisfy my lemming for essence of beauty double ended brushes but I was wrong. :C Well despite my dismay, some of the brushes from this set are still worth using. Have a nice day everyone.

Tropez Sunrise to Sunset Eyeshadow Quad in Maui Mauve

I am back!! :D I got this palette as part of a prize from Cheysser's Contest. The colors are really wearable but not too pigmented except for the beautiful black shadow with pink shimmers (sadly the shimmers does not show much.. :C)

dsc 001

Like the name suggests, the palette contains colors that are perfect for daytime and even night time look. However, I find this palette powdery for my taste.

Here is a swatch of the palette:

^^The white eyeshadow is perfect for highlighting the brow bone

Here is an fotd of the palette that I did:
^^pardon the crappy pic because it was not that sunny and bright outside my room.. hence, the poor picture quality.

Missha The Style Face Powder + The Importance of Watermarking

Happy Holidays everyone!! I am sort of back in a blogging world momentarily.. I am too lazy to do anything lately.. I am just eating and sleeping all day.. This is life.. hehe.. First of all, I would like to thank everyone who still follows my blog even though I am always missing in action and much love to all my readers out there. Anyways, here is a very quick review about Missha's The Style Face Powder. I am not in much need of loose or finishing powder powder because I absolutely love Ellana's White Chocolate Sheer Velvet Mineral Powder Primer but I was really lured by its price. I bought this on ebay for only 250 pesos!! Missha has opened here in the Philippines a few months back but I have heard that their prices are really steep just like skinfood's. I really did not expect that its container is big.

dsc 065
20 grams
This comes in three shades. I got shade:#2.

dsc 064
The powder puff that came with it is very useful. I am using it in applying my powder foundation.

What I love about this product:
  • It brightens and evens out my skin color.
  • I look fresh using it. I use this to seal my bb creams in place.
  • The container is huge (imo...) and it was filled upto the lid.
Product Boo-Boo's:
(What I dislike about this product)
  • I hate the scent!! It smelled like my grandma's perfume!!
  • The coverage is too sheer for my taste. I can't use this alone. I just use this as my everyday finishing powder.
  • I actually do not know if this is locally available since I just bought online.
Here is the swatch of the powder on my hand:
dsc 066
^^ It looks way lighter than my skintone.

dsc 068
^^It blended well on my skin since the coverage was really sheer.

The Importance of watermarking your pictures:

Watermark: a pattern of bits inserted into a digital image, audio or video file that identifies the file's copyright information (author, rights, etc.). The name comes from the faintly visible watermarks imprinted on stationery that identify the manufacturer of the stationery. The purpose of digital watermarks is to provide copyright protection for intellectual property that's in digital format. (http://www.watermark-software.com)

I was browsing on ebay a while ago and I was looking for a NYX cream blush when I chanced upon this listing:

My jaw dropped immediately!! hahaha.. I actually do not know if I should be pissed or mighty proud because someone is borrowing my photos without any credits whatsoever to moi!!! Just a little credit to my blog will do. Thank god I had the name of my blog on this picture. I really think bloggers should watermark CONSPICUOUSLY!! This is to protect your works from people who casually grab someone else's work without any word or anything.I think this is utterly offensive.

***I am not prohibiting anyone from using my pictures.. Just ask and I would appreciate sharing it with you or just put credits to my blog.***

Skinfood Gingko Green BB cream

Skinfood Gingko Green BB Crean
50 grams
A moisturizing base made with the essential ingredients of green tea, ginkgo leaf, Vitamin B and lecithin for nutritional benefits to the skin. Provides light coverage. Suitable for all skin types.

dsc 006

Hi everyone,, Just a quick post with regard Skinfood Gingko Green BB Cream. I purchased this online for 525 pesos. I was really confused in choosing which bb cream variant from skinfood is the best. And well, I got the most unliked of all 4 which is Ginkgo BB cream. This is the least purchased of all Skinfood bb creams here in the Philippines and like others say also in Korea because this has no SPF. I heard Skinfood outlets here have not been stocking up on this product due to low sales. Actually, I bought this due to Khymm's enticing review. The consistency of this bb cream is way thicker than Missha's Perfect Cover bb cream. At first, I find a hard time using this . I find it really hard to blend. In the long run, I have mastered the technique of applying it (i initially apply a thin layer of moisturizer) and right now I am really loving it!!!I have been using this from the moment I got it. It really brightens my face after application. Compare to Missha which oxidizes on me (i really find it weird because lately everytime I used my Missha my face turns dark and dull.. I don't know why.. As far as I know I am not acidic..) The coverage is sheer to medium. Further, I love that it keeps my powder stay put (Disclaimer: Take note I have dry skin. Others say that its oil control is not good at all.. ). It is also scented with light almond fragrance.. Not alluring at all in my opinion but bearable because the scent is really not that overpowering. Nevertheless, I will not repurchased this product since I wanted to try other bb creams.

(Shade #2)

Review: Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Liner

Hi Guys.. I am really getting lazy with school perhaps due to holiday blues(reading tons of cases makes me nauseous..) Yay.. So much for my law school misadventures.. I want to share with you a quick and simple review about my first ever gel liner. Yep, my first ever.. hehe..

Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Liner
Creamy gel type allows to draw a smooth clean line without crease.
Customized eye line brush allows lines to be drawn as desired from fine to thick. The creamy gel texture dries quickly after application.
Long Lasting ,Water-proof ,and Smudge Proof Formula

What to love about this product:

  • If you have a hard time using liquid eyeliner because of shaky hands this one is really suited for you because it is very easy to use. No more rants about liquid liner all over your lashes and lid!
  • Glides smoothly when applied and it is indeed creamy
  • The color payoff is great!! It appears gorgeous velvet black when applied. It did not turn gray. This also comes in brown shade.
  • Staying power is awesome.
  • I somehow love the brush that comes with it because it makes the application easier. The brush is really scratchy but with its size I can effortlessly apply winged eyeliner and I could control the thickness of the liner easily.
  • It lasted on me for one whole day without creasing.Although, it did fade just a bit at the end of the day.
  • The small pot is a tub of wonder! You just need a tiny amount of this product to line my eyes.
  • This is absolutely waterproof.
  • Only 449.00 pesos.
Product Boo Boo's:
  • I find this really hard to remove. You need a very good makeup remover to take this off.
  • This does not stay on my waterline.. SAD!!
dsc 009
The brush that comes with it.
Look how small and thin it is.. Perfect in applying the liner on your upper lid.

dsc 010
Just one swipe and you get this vibrant color.

Tips and Tricks to Ponder:
  • Like other makeup, I really think that the trick in using products is making such product work for you. This is absolutely creamy and waterproof liner but you have to apply it thinly and avoid piling much of the product while lining your lid to avoid smudging. In other words, just a few amount will do and make sure you spread it really well. Over all, this product is really good and I am also thinking on buying the brown shade.. :D Have a blessed Sunday everyone.
