Refresh!! Minute Maid Contest Entry

Hi everyone!! After a long time with no FOTD's here is my latest look which is an entry to Beautynomics' minute maid. When I saw this contest, T knew exactly what color I will use on my eyes!! Of course I chose -- GREEN. this color literally screams FRESh... and I opted to combine it with other colors which is orange to embody the minute maid spirit.. :D I think being fresh starts from within. How? EAT HEALTHY and DRINK LOTS of WATER. Having a healthy lifestyle is better than a million intake of vitamins. Another important thing (which law school taught me) is to be a POSITIVE THINKER. Positive thinking brings inner peace, better health, and satisfaction. Shrug off those negative vibes and always smile to make your face radiate.

I believe having a healthy skin is a must before anything else. Do the cleanse-tone-moisturize process day after day. Never ever sleep with makeup on. When it comes to make up,finding the right shade of concealer, foundation and powder is my priority. When you want to look blooming, focus on your eyes. Having that long and curled lashes opens up your eyes. I also believe in the wonders that eyeliner can give because this instantly opens my tired eyes. Blush is a must too.. just make sure it suits your skin tone. The key is looking flushed, natural or sunkissed and never clownish!! And a gloss or balm with tint is perfect to complete the entire look.

So, Here is my entry for minute maid's contest:

On my eyes, I use the following products:

All natural face primer
Maybelline gel liner in black
NYX single e/s in sunset
All natural peach mineral eyeshadow in peach honey

Ellana Blush in Patience and Bronzer in Light Roast

Wheeew... Hi everyone!! I have been slacking here in blogger while I am working ass so hard at school during the time I was mia. One week of weariness, stress and sleepless nights is enought to keep enough to make me look 5 years older than my age. Yay.. While studying, I can't help but buy few stuffs online. Lately, I am getting hooked on buying bronzers and neutral colored blushes. My latest buys are from Ellana. Their blushes are really affordable and pigmented. They go on smoothly when applied. I really find them very blendable. I got themfor only 180 pesos for 2.5 grams.

When I asw shen's post with regard this,, I just can't wait to get my hands on this bronzer! This bronzer is very beautiful. It gives me that much needed glow without looking sun burnt. I find this very nice for contouring my cheeks.

Hello ladies and to my new followers.. I got this concealer in ebay for only 253 pesos.. A chance I could not ever resist because this costs triple in the Skinfood outlets locally available. This liquid concealer has a very thick and creamy consistency. I was really impressed when I first swatched it on my hand. This has a medium coverage which I really love. This only comes into two shades 21 and 23.. I got mine in #23. Shade #23 has a yellow undertone but i still find way too light for my NC37 skintone but thank goodness it blends well on my skin. I wished they have more shades to choose from.

^as shown in the picture, this concealer is really thick and creamy than your ordinary liquid concealer. this is just a little dab of this concealer. a little amount is enough to cover my whole lid and undereye area.

The sponge tip wand is very convenient to use. This lasts longer on me compared to my elianto cream concealer. I seldom retouch my concealer under my eyes when I use this in school and considering the humid weather in the Philippines this one can withstand it without creasing. My only rant with product is that it dries quickly to a powdery finish. With a very dry skin like mine, it is a minus point for this product. Due to its matte finish, it highlights the lines under my eyes and tends to appear chalky. My remedy is to apply more moisturizer under my eyes than the normal amount I am using. Here is the proof:

Just a tiny dab of the concealer is enough to cover my dark under eyes.

^^see what I mean with the powdery finish?? it looked too cakey on me.

Over all, this is a very nice concealer from its blendability, coverage and long lasting effect. I definitely think this is suitable for those with oily skin.
Have a nice day everyone..

ELF The Beauty Encyclopedia (Lips)

Looking for a lipstick??
Can't seem to find the right shade?
On a tight budget?

ELF has the answer.

Presenting...
ELF's Beauty Encyclopedia.
For 5$ you get 12 lip color, 2 glosses, 1 lip liner and a brush..

How I wish this came with a mirror inside. This is perfect for travelling. The colors are all nice and they are pigmented. I was quite impressed with the lip color's consistency because it is creamy just like an ordinary lipstick. I have the Sonia Kashuk lip palette and it was really goopy and runny but this one from ELF is intact and solid on the pan but creamy on the lips. However, I must moisturize my lips very well because it is quite drying.
