Psychedelic EOTD

I did this way back when.. I never thought that I will be posting this on my blog. It looked way eccentric and loud from the other experimental eotd/fotd's that I have done. What I love about this look is how I mixed a gold shimmery eyeshadow with a hot pink one. This is the color underneath my eyes.. I never thought mixing colors of different shade can create such a beautiful color.OOOOoohhhh,,, the wonders of blending. The whole eotd may not look precise and perfect but I love the fusion of colors.

I am just sick and tired of black and white.
If you are a law student,,, you'll figure out why.

                                                                            Products used:
78 pc. eyeshadow palette from coastalscents
elf waterproof liquid eyeliner pen in black
saizen falsies
the all natural face eyeshadow primer

Review: Montagne Jeunesse Chocolate Mud Masque

If there's one thing I cannot resist.. it is not makeup nor fancy dresses -- it is CHOCOLATES. Chocolate is ambrosia to my taste buds. It relieves me of stress and it soothes my mind for a moment. Chocolate gives me that momentary bliss and I was bewildered that it is now a mask? Honestly, I never like masks on my face. I would develop skin rashes and minor irritations using masks especially those pull-it-off face masks. I would rather use exfoliants and toner to keep my face healthy. But just like chocolates.. Montagne Jeunesse Chocolate Mud Masque is something I could not resist.

Chocolate Mud Masque
Chocolate, yes, it’s chocolate. A guilt free treat! This masque offers a feast of creamy delights – it’s outrageous! This deep cleansing masque helps unblock pores, moisturises and heals for skin that glows with health. It smells incredible – imagine these – Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter – creamy heaven. Enjoy!

  • Gluten Free
  • No Added Parabens
  • Deep Pore Cleansing
  • For normal, dry and t-zone skin
  • Smells like real chocolate!
  • BUAV & Vegetarian Approved
  • Deeply Nourishing

Directions: Thoroughly cleanse face with warm water. Apply evenly to face and neck, avoiding eyes and lips. Now lie back and relax and let the masque do its work. Leave on for 10-15 mins or until dry. Rinse with water. Pat dry. Use weekly.

Weight: 20 g

This UK made home treat is available at our local malls and supermarkets. I saw one at Watsons before and was very intrigued since it has lots of variants and they are made of natural ingredients. For a price of 78 pesos only, you can experience SPA at your home. When I got this, I immediately tried it. Initially,I was really hesitant because of the bad experience i had with masks before. But the sweet scent of chocolate made me changed my mind.

Look how rich and luscious this mask looks like. It definitely looks like melted chocolate. You can't even tell the difference until you tasted it. :S

What I LOVE about it?
  •  This is very easy to apply. The thick consistency of the product helps you control the amount you will apply on your skin.
  • It did not sting nor leave any rashes on my skin.
  • This is really creamy and rich. My skin definitely felt pampered.
  • When the mask hardens on my face, it tightens m
  • The smell is relaxing.  I felt like a princess with chocolate on my face. LOL
  • After use, it made my super dry skin soft and moisturized. My skin looks fresh and refined. It gave my skin a healthy glow.
  •  Very affordable.
  • Available locally.

What I dislike about it?
  • I find this very messy to apply or am I just really clumsy? If you have long hair, make sure you tie it.
  • I wish it came in a resealable packaging. A pack contains a lot of product so be careful not squeeze out everything.
LOL!! I look like the brown HULK !!
I will definitely try out their other variants.
Have a nice day everyone.

Prelude to SUMMER 2010: Sunkissed FOTD

Hi everyone.. I really miss doing FOTD's so I decided to do one again. But the lighting is too bad and my skin is at its worst right now. Rashes and bumps are everywhere (not visible on the pictures.. thanks to mac studiofix. :D) I am so excited for summer because this is one of those moments where I do not think much about school.NO BOOKS AND CASES ALLOWED. (not for 2010 because of the mock bar. :C) For summer, the best look for me is a healthy bronzed look. You do not have to overdo it. I think a swipe of your favorite matte bronzer on your cheeks or a shimmery golden blush will do the trick.

For my eyes, I use my 180 palette which I am not really enjoying lately. I find it very chalky and hard to blend. :C I want to buy another palette from coastal scents especially the 88 palette to replace it.
Also, I tried using my L'oreal Lineur Intense in carbon black for the first time. I will do a review on this one soon.

                                                               Products Used on the EYES:
NYX jumbo pencil in milk as e/s base
Missha The style 4d mascara
Avon black eyeliner
Darkness falsies
                                                                          180 e/s palette

                                                            Products Used on the FACE:
MAC Studiofix liquid foundation in NC37
in2it powder foundation in harvest
The Balm HOT mama blush
Ellana bronzer in light roast
NYX Taupe for contouring

I promise to do a decent FOTD soon. :S Better than this one.. :P

Review: Lumiere Pink Brushes (Hot or Not?)

Hi everyone. My prebuy lumiere brushes arrived about three weeks ago and I have mix reaction on these brushes. I love the fact that I got them for half their price. However, I was surprised that the bristles are now PINK! what?? Considering the fact that I love pink so much, I honestly did not like the color of my lumiere brushes. They look repulsive rather than enticing. SIGH.

LUMIERE Long Handled Kabuki

Description:
Our Long Handled Kabuki has quickly become a customer favorite by many.
It's greatly loved for applying Lumiere Mineral Foundation;
for achieving light to medium coverage.
This brush will do everything our synthetic kabuki will do;
yet, with the ease of a longer handle.
If you love our Kabuki, you will also love the Long Handled version,
and if you never could understand the Kabuki, you will love this one!

The Long Handled Kabuki is wonderful for those with arthritis and helps make applying your minerals more comfortable than a standard kabuki.
This brush is also great for applying our Finishing Powders, All Over Colors, Bronzers, Blush and Body Shimmers too. Our synthetics are luxuriously soft and wonderful for sensitive skin.

-100% synthetic, cruelty free and vegan friendly-

Brush measures 4 inches total length. Brush hairs measure approx. 1-7/16 inches long and 1-1/4 inches in diameter across.

This brush definitely lives up to the wonderful reviews I have read about it. I know you all know how much I love my ELF powder brush but this brush is WOW!! It is best for application from light to medium coverage. I can use it in applying either mineral or non mineral products. The handle is perfect. I had an easy time maneuvering it over my face and controlling the amount of product. The bristles are so soft and gentle on my sensitive and rashes prone skin. I experienced no scratch whatsoever from using it even on the delicate area around my eyes. The dome shaped helps me reach those corners which a flat top can't evenly cover. I use it for applying bronzers, blushes, finishing powder and even foundation whether it be mineral or powder foundation. Minus the pink bristles, this brush is LOVE indeed.

This is the old version of this product. See how it looks more soft and velvety than the new one.

The bristles are dense and full enough for contouring and buffing. :D

LUMIERE Duo Fiber Optic

Description:
This is the perfect tool for adding definition to your cheekbones and
highlighting with the application of soft layers. Great for those of all skin
tones, which enjoy using deeper colors yet, are looking for a more subtle
definition. May be used with any face powders, but recommended for use
with all over colors, blush and bronzers. Similar to MAC #187

This brush is receiving wonderful reviews!
We will be making this brush even fuller this time to make it very close to the MAC #187!
Brush measures 6.5 inches total length. Brush hairs measure approx. 1-5/8 inches long and 1.75" inches in diameter across.
(source: http://www.lumierecosmetics.com)

Initially, I got the angled and duo fiber optic but I realized that I do not need the angled brush. I know some of you might think that I should have chosen the angled brush because it provides more precise application but I find the duo fiber optic fuller. I  think that the angled brush looks flimsy. For comparison, I took a picture of both brushes before selling the angled fiber optic.
I use this brush for applying my  liquid foundation and sometimes for blushes too. I am not that happy about this brush. I was really looking forward to this one because I would always see makeup gurus in youtube using stippling brush in applying their liquid foundations. To my dismay, I have not yet mastered the technique in using this. I find my own bare fingers better in blending my liquid foundation. Using this would create streaks rather than an even and smooth finish although, the bristles are remarkably soft.Compared to synthetic foundation brushes that I have tried when applying liquid foundation, this brush does not prick my face. It delivers a very light coverage when used for powder application. This brush is not as dense compared to their long handled kabuki.

One thing I also noticed about this product is that it sheds a lot on my first use and when I washed it.

Look how elegant the color of the old version of this brush. SIGH.

WetnWild Megalast Lipcolor in Just Peachy

Hi everyone!! Miss me? I hope so.. School is getting harder than ever. Hopefully, I am on my final year in law school this coming school year that is why I need to stay more disciplined. Ergo, less time for blogging. :C

I want to share with you a nice lipstick that I am currently loving. I have an innately dark lips since I was just a child. Hence, I would always wear darker shades of lipstick and a lip liner is an essential product to conceal it.I would get envious with girls who could pull off a peach lipstick or a baby pink lipstick without looking fake or anything. I have tried NYX pumpkin pie but it was not that pigmented enough to cover my dark lips. Thanks to my bestfriend for buying me this product in Walmart. I got the chance to try this lipstick from WetnWild. It is Megalast Lipcolor in Just Peachy. I have seen a lot of nice reviews about this line from  them. I wanted to try peach this time since I have found my perfect pink lipstick in the likeness of NYX fig.

Look how pigmented it is in this picture.. I did not even use any lip liner here.

Lips take center stage! This 4-hour, longwearing lip color leaves a semi-matte, crème finish in one stroke. Glides on easily with rich, velvety color that doesn't cake, feather, or bleed. Made with hydrating skin-care ingredients: Hyaluronic Microspheres provide extraordinary adhesion to lips, an exclusive polymer complex offers cushion-like feel and texture, and natural marine plant extracts Coenzyme Q10 and Vitamins A & E help smooth lips.
(from http://wnwbeauty.com)

They have 20 shades in this line. I was really worried with this lipstick when I got it. First, the packaging looks tacky for my taste and it looks so dry and hard to apply. To my amazement, this is very creamy and very pigmented. (a notch better than nyx round lipstick in my opinion). However, there is a need to first moisturize your lips.

Over all, this product is really nice!I want to try their other shades except anything with pink hues. How I wish wetnwild will be available in the Philippines again. :C

Update: I won beautynomics 'minute maid contest!! WHOA!! I was really thrilled and surprised when she emailed me. Ohhh.. I can't wait to claim my kiehl's prizes and hopefully, I will have time for the makeup class soon. Thanks Sophie and Minute Maid for choosing me.
