Etude House Dear Darling Lip Tint

You all know that I have dry and dark lips, that is why I am in search for a good lip tint. I realized that using a lip tint saves more time since touch ups are rarely needed because it lasts longer than lipsticks and colored glosses. I have used Allue's lip tint which only costs 60 pesos but this tastes like soap (literally) and I have also used cheek tints like Nichido and Ever Bilena (the one in the pump bottle) on my lips but they all taste pungent and weird. ON my first visit to Etude House, I noticed this tint on their shelves.

 Dear Darling Tint
wt: 5 grams

Description:
Jelly texture adheres to lips without fading (No lip strain)
Natural, vivid lips
Long lasting lip moisture supplement

Price: 198 pesos

Available in 3 Shades:

No. 1 in Berry Red
No. 2 in Real Red
 No. 3 in Orange Red
(picture from Etude House Site)
I got mine in No. 2 and I am really loving this product a lot.

Why?
  • This gives my lips a natural hint of color to my lips. This color is buildable.
  • Very affordable
  • The consistency is just right not too runny or thick.
  • It does not wear off easily. It stayed on my lips for hours even though I have already eaten.
  • Touch ups are rarely needed but you need to moisturize your lips to prevent it from flaking and drying
  • It has a nice strawberry scent
  • The best part is -- NO bitter or funky taste. :D It is just your lips-but-better look.
I do not have any complains about this product. I will definitely repurchase!

^^ it is in liquid jelly form. Do not worry about spilling it ^^

the doe foot applicator is pointed for precise application but i would love it better if it came in bended form

very pigmented and long lasting

on my lips without any lipbalm or lipliner
See how it covered my dark lips very well?

Updated Review: L'oreal Lineur Intense (Brush Tip Applicator)

From L'oreal Paris Website:
Stand out with a dramatically or sleek look. Lineur Intense has a tapered natural brush that gives you the control to create the most  precise lines for your desired looks.
  • Ophthalmologist-tested and allergy-tested
  • Suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers
  • Clump resistant
  • Fragrance Free
I never thought that I will get my hands on this product when my bestfriend came home. When it comes to liquid eyeliner, I am in love and overtly satisfied with nichido liquid eyeliner. Nichido liquid eyeliner costs only 60 pesos and available at local department stores in the Philippines. When I got this, I got bewildered with the brush tip.It was not tapered or pointed at all. It was a thin brush which looks uneasy for application. To my surprise, the long handled brush made the application easier. It was like putting mascara on. However, this would not be of help to those with unsteady hands. Moreover, one of Michelle Phan's video showed that she used this on her lower lashes. I tried it and it worked wonderfully. I was searching for pictures of this liner online and I got confused with the pictures. Some showed a shorter wand than mine. Finally, I figured that there is another kind of lineur intense liner which is the felt tip one. I was a bit disappointed because this is the one I really wanted because it looks easier to use. And the brush tip one is the unpopular version of this liner but with the color pay off, I will not complain. The brush may not look pointed at all but with practice I managed to create thin lines with it.
**Pic from : http://www.styleitonline.com**

What I love about Lineur Intense Brush Tip Liner:
  • The color Carbon Black is really intense and bold
  • It does not smudge
  • The color does not wear off  at the end of the day unlike other liquid liners I have tried
  • Easy to use for creating that winged liner look
  • It does not sting my lids when used
  • I can used this on my lower lashes as a mascara
What I do not like about it:
  • Not available locally
  • When you double the application, it flakes off

^^ Without flash
The color pay off is amazing. Isn't it?

 ^^no concealer or powder..
Initially, I said that I can not create thin lines with it.. What I meant was... My first try with this liner creating thin lines was not that easy .. Sorry for the confusion. In the long run, I fell in love with the brush and how long the wand was because I can easily maneuver creating that winged effect.
^this is how thin the lines can go..

Cheers everyone.. :D

NYX Blushes Swatches

Hi girls.. I want to share with you swatches of NYX blushes. I really love their powder blushes because of their wide array of shades and they go on very smoothly when applied. They are very pigmented too. The downside -- chalky and too powdery. They are also very fragile, my first NYX blush almost crumbled to pieces when I accidentally dropped it. Their rouge cream blushes are LOVE. I honestly want all shades. I fell in love with HOT PINK. They are very thick, creamy and super pigmented. However, I do not use it when I have rashes because it tends to highlight them especially dry patches on my skin.
Here are the blushes I got from SOl's giveaway.

NYX ROUGE CREAM BLUSH in ORANGE

Shade Description: This looks bright orange on the pan but it goes on smoothly like a muted orange on my NC37 skin.

NYX Powder Blushes

NYX BLUSH in ANGEL

Shade Description: Soft pale pink with slightest hint of shimmer

NYX BLUSH in SPICE

Shade Description:reddish dusty rose

NYX BLUSH in RED
Shade Description: neutral brown perfect for contouring and as a bronzer (this looks a lot like taupe on the pan but this looks way healthier and perfect for summer)

For more NYX products visit: http://digitaltraincase.multiply.com

How about you? What is your favorite shade of NYX blush?
Have a nice day everyone.

Cosmic Purple FOTD + updates

After a month of no posts... I finally got the time to make one.
I have been very busy with my internship and I am really having a blast with OSG.
This past few weeks I never thought of makeup... It was wall about my future career and human relations. I even thought of deleting this blog because of my very hectic schedule.
With this opportunity of being with the OSG, I am getting a glimpse of what will my future be like.. I really want to be a lawyer or a justice perhaps..Today, I just miss putting on makeup because In the office, I barely wear makeup at all.. and I just felt the urge to do an fotd today and update this dormant blog o'mine..
Here is a simple step by step way to achieve this look:

1. Prior to e/s application, Apply eyeshadow primer to make eye shadow more vibrant and long lasting. I am using the all natural face eyeshadow primer. Apply a light colored purple shadow on the lid. I used NYX eyeshadow in cotton candy.
2. With my elf blending brush, I sweep some silver eyeshadow on the outer ''V'' corner. I used a silver eyeshadow from my 180 palette.
3.  Apply a black e/s on top of the silver e/s to create a more defined look.
4. Lastly, I line my upper lid with loreal lineur intense in carbon black.I lined my waterline with nichido girls night out eyeliner in deep plum (this is a very nice eyeliner and very affordable too.) I applied black eyeliner on y lower lash line. Then, I applied mascara.. I use covergirl eyeslights in black pearl.

^ I used my favorite half type falsies for a more dramatic effect.

Update:
I dyed my hair again. This time,, the results was great. I have been sporting this looks for 1 week now and I once again cut my bangs. I used hortaleza hair color cream in hazel blonde. I used 12% oxidizing lotion. I was really afraid to use this product because it was really cheap compared to other hair dyes in the market. It did not dry my hair considering I have it rebonded and it was shiny too as commented by my friends. Do you think my new hair color suits me? btw,, I am loving it..

Also, I won Sol's (www.lalelilalu.blogspot.com/) first giveaway!! I was really surprised. I can't wait to get my package..  I also went to kiehl's to claim my prize from Sophie's (http://www.beautynomics.com/blog/) minute maid contest.. More on kiehl's products soon..Have a nice day everyone..

One last note to my fellow Filipinos.. Please vote wisely.. Do not rely on survey. They are just numbers... Vote for the person who can LEAD this country.
