Myra Vita Glow Tinted Moisturizer Review + Giveaway

Hello everyone!! How was your weekend? I hope you had a wonderful time with your family and loved ones and celebrated Sunday with God. I received an email from Ms. Dia weeks ago about these Myra E goodies. I was busy with my grandfather at the hospital and was not able to meet her personally (I asked our driver to pick up these goodies instead). Thank you again Ms. Dia. When our driver handed me the paper bag, I was thrilled to receive a lot of Myra Vita Glow Moisturizer!! I will be sharing these to my Philippine readers!! :))  I have tried this Myra Vita Glow tinted moisturizer a year ago (I think) but I was not able to do a review about it (I do not know why).

This is a very affordable tinted moisturzer. It only costs 135 pesos per tube. It is vitamin E enriched. It has SPF 15 too. It has minerals mainly referring to the tiny shimmers which gives you that glow but I am not a fan of these shimmers. The best thing about it is that it is hypo-allergenic and dermatologist tested. For me, it is now my everyday makeup base. It feels so light on my skin. It does a good job of giving my skin an even finish. The coverage is sheer to light. Thus, do not exepect this to cover your dark circles, sun spots and stubborn blemishes. The consistency and texture is nice. It can be a bit runny but it blends well on my skin.
There are only two shades which is Ivory and Beige.

Ivory is perfect for yellow toned girls while Beige is perfect for those with darker tones.

The first shade I tried was Beige but I find that it a bit dark on my skin. I can actually use Ivory or Beige but I prefer Ivory. As you can see in this picture, the moisturizer changes its color after blending. Here is a quick tip: To know your shade, take a teeny weeny drop and blend it on your jawline then wait for a few seconds for it to dry. You will see that the shade will show better after the moisturizer have already dried on your skin.

Here is the proof.
What I love about this tinted moisturizer:
  • Very affordable. It only costs 135 pesos for 35ml tube.
  • It is perfect for everyday wear. I am not a fan of heavy foundations for everyday wear. You must let your skin breathe (as for me, that is a MUST). I use this as my everyday makeup base.
  • It has SPF 15. :))
  • It evens out my skin tone. I apply this in a tapping motion since I discovered that I get more coverage when I apply it that way.
  • It does not feel sticky on the skin. Perfect for our humid weather.
  • I did not experience any rashes or break out using this product.
What I do not like about it:
  • It has tiny shimmers. I am just not a fan of shimmers!
  • Staying power is not that good. By mid day, my skin looks washed out.
  • It has only two shades. I know a lot will have a hard time choosing their shade. As for me, I can wear beige or ivory. I prefer to use Ivory since it brightens my face more.
Here is my bare face. I just got out from the shower. I know you miss my fat face flashing on your screen. haha
Thumbs up for no rashes attack on this picture. haha
I applied two layers of tinted moisturizer. Look at how it even out my skin tone. It does not cover my dark circles at all. Thank heavens for concealers. :)) I know my face looks lighter than my neck. After a few minutes, the shade will blend perfectly on my skin.
A closer look on the shimmers. I am not a fan but it somehow made my skin look naturally glowing.
I am giving away 6 boxes of this moisturizer. Three winners will be picked and each will get two boxes of Myra Vita Glow Tinted Facial Moisturizer in Ivory and Beige. Because I love local and affordable makeup, just answer this question:

What local makeup product or affordable drugstore makeup are you loving/raving right now and why?

Winners will be chosen by yours truly!! :))

Winners will be announce on January 19, 2012 on my FB Page.

  1. Local product that I am looking for is a good powder foundation that doesn't cause or create white cast on photos. I am having a hard time looking for one since some of the products I have used haven't worked well on me. I might try Fanny Serano though.
p.s. I have always wanted to try out tinted moisturizers but I am a bit hesitant due to the poor shade selection. I am morena that is leaning towards the darker side know what I mean. :)
Thanks for sharing your goodies Donna :)

  2. i am so in-love with my Ever Bilena Brow pencil.. i cannot leave the house without grooming my brows! i've been using it for years now.. my second fave is the SanSan foundation Shade No.2! i read your blog about it and went straight to HBC store and bought it on sale too! i was originally planning to buy Revlon Photoready and Colorstay but your blogpost about Sansan saved me lots of money! hehe! i love using the liquid foundation with my stippling brush! i will buy the Fanny Serrano foundation soon too and also the blushes of SanSan but for now im enjoying the blushes of my 42pcs combo palette that i bought from Moi Cosmetics (which i bought after reading your blogpost about it LOL)!
Have a great day Donna! ♥

  13. I am still loving all my Ever Bilena Matte Lipsticks. and looking forward to purchasing more shades. at least 5 more hopefully. :)

  14. For local products i love nichido for their eyeliners and san-san for their foundation. it just made my face smoother and no break-outs at all.

For Drugstore Products, i love E.L.F. they never failed me, i love their brushes, especially the Studio Line, and also my recently discovered love: E.L.F. Lip Stain and Gloss.

  15. I am faling back in love with maybelline at the moment. I do like loreal but maybelline is more affordable I think... xxx

  16. I can't live without my Sansan Eyebrow Pencil in 03 Dark Brown! It has become a staple in my daily makeup routine. I love how it looks on my brows. The color is perfect as it's a real brown color unlike other brow pencils which are in reddish brown shade and looks fake in brows.

*I am actually on my 5th pencil now.*

  17. My fave local makeup brand is Nichido, especially their Multiple Stick in CINNAMON GLAZE.What I love about this particular product is that this gives me a "just stroll in the beach look ala Adriana Lima"(if use as a blush).I love how this makes my face glow in a natural way(like I was blooming).I also love to use this as a lippie, this gives me a matte brownish peach tint that I love!I was a fun of barely there look and a matte peachy brown shade is my choice.A tube last me for a year,so I can say that this one is really affordable.I can live with only this on my pocket,it's my must-have!
