Glaminar Makeup Workshop Plus Giveaway

Happy Rainy Saturday everyone!
How was your week?Last night , I watched the Dark Knight Rises. It was a very nice movie in my opinion. While watching it, I remembered my dad because he loves action packed films like I do. Upon arriving at my house, I was really stunned with the news that a gunman killed 14 people in Colorado at the Batman Premiere. It is really saddening to hear news like this.

Anyways, I was invited by Myla last Saturday for a basic makeup workshop as a guest blogger. I never attended any makeup workshop before. I learned to apply makeup through Youtube. I have been addicted to watching makeup gurus years. Of course, you can never learn to put on makeup unless you actually practice applying it. So, yes, I have gone through the stage where my smokey eye make my eye looks swollen and all bruised up. Haha
I learned a lot from this workshop. Something I never learned from youtube Gurus. Thanks Myla for the invite and Anna for such a good job. Shout out to my dear reader, Rhania Chang!! Hi!! She also attended this workshop. I hope we could meet soon!

My before and after shot
Oh my!! I look sick on the first photo! I told you I have dark under eyes and dark lip line.

Product I used:
James Cooper Cream Foundation in No.3 (I finally got the chance to use this!I actually liked it! Should I buy one? Nope! I am saving money for a high end foundation!! I can't wait to get it at Duty Free when I go to Iloilo for a hearing this August 6)
Fanny Serrano Foundation in Organza
ELF Blush and Bronzer duo
For the eyes I used a Sleek Palette and another random neutral palette
I also used the Fairy Drops Mascara
Nichido Black Eyeliner and Mineral Liquid Liner
Nichido Mineral liner in Chestnut (I used it for my brows and for contouring my nose. I need some bridge!!)
Etude House Proof 10 Eyeshadow Primer
L'oreal Base Magique Primer ( This has a paste like consistency. I had a hard time blending it.)
MAC Fix Plus (Anna swears by this!)
I had the chance to use the Beauty Cosmetics Makeup Brushes. I am really contemplating if I should get one. I also love this mirror. The day after the workshop  I searched for it at SM and sadly I did not find one!:(
Myla is the lady behind Glaminar Makeup Artistry and Fabshopaholic.
Teacher Anna with Svetlani!
They look so cute. Looking at them made me feel old.. hahaha

We were though Basic Skin Care (I bought a toner because of this)
Day time Look
Night time Look

Anna also thought us the different skin types, basic makeup brushes and some tricks she learned in her career as a freelance makeup artist.
The makeup we used at the workshop!
Me in action. hehe
Anna did a great job in shaping Svetlani's brows

Here are the goodies I brought home with me! I forgot to add the lipgloss in this photo!
I was happy I got the neutral palette!!

Some pictures are from the Glaminar Makeup Artistry Facebook Page.

Over all, I had a wonderful time and I have learned a lot of new tricks from Anna! I bought myself the Nichido Mineral Eyeliner in CHestnut right after the workshop. I have been using it to contour my nose bridge. Also, I found my fan brush! If you want to know why I got a fan brush.. Join the Glaminar Makeup Workshop.. hehe

  1. aww the before and after photo's amazing. your hair's so short na nga compared to the last time i saw you! :D

anyway huhu i hate that beautyangel palette bec i bought one at Snoe for 350 only to find out that it's sold at hortaleza (ung supplies store na puro salon shit) for a hundred! so not only was it a disappointing product for me (i dont like how the powder felt weird; it's also a very disappointing purchase for me cause it was too marked up and i thought it was a product i wouldnt expect seeing in a tiangge or what since i bought from a brand. hehe
