Hair Care Army: My Hair Essentials

My Hair Care Army

Hello MLI Readers! I was never into hair care until  recently. I have finally come to my senses that my crowning glory looked so unhealthy. This year (after passing the bar.. ) I started buying my own hair care products instead of  using the shampoo and conditioner that my mom buys for my family's consumption.

So, without further ado, here is a run down of my hair care army:
I got this Pantene Shampoo because of Atty. Jill of Kikayexchange. My hair does not experience dryness whenever I use Pantene Products. However, I still love and will definitely repurchase Clear Shampoo. Clear Shampoo and Conditioner lessen the itchiness of my scalp. For my new readers, I have scalp psoriasis, thus, I always purchase hair products that have anti dandruff properties. Of course, I never forget to apply conditioner after lathering my hair with shampoo. Cream Silk is perfect for my dry and coarse hair. This conditioner softens and moisturizes my hair really well compared to other conditioners.
I bought this out of a whim because they were on sale on Avon's brochure! Only 99 pesos per bottle. Both have a refreshing minty feel.
There are days when I want to deep clean my hair and this one is a hair saver! This miracle product removes all dirt, oil and grime on my hair and scalp. A complete initial review on this shampoo is found here.
Here is a detailed review:

I use the aforementioned products alternately.

Next hair essential is this heat protectant from Monea.  I was thrilled when I saw this at our local department stores. Finally! a heat protectant readily available for Filipino consumers. I use this before blow drying my hair or before using any hot tools like straightening iron or curling iron. This is very affordable for only 99 pesos. You can buy this Watsons and Landmark department stores.  However, this has a subtle chemical scent that is very unappealing to my olfactory nerves. :(
A dry shampoo is basically a quick fix spray whenever one does not have the time to wash his/her hair. This dry shampoo is available at SM Supermarket. I bought it for over a hundred pesos. I use this sparingly because I wash my hair everyday. I could not imagine the dirt and gunk that stick to  my hair every time I travel around the city.  I use this on days when I feel like my hair is too oily and or whenever looked too limp. This is primarily for freshening up my locks and it gives my hair a little oomph. Dry shampoo  are usually in a white and powdered form.  Make sure you spray 10 inches or more away from your hair to distribute the product well on your.  Do not forget to brush through your tresses and to massage your scalp. It can really give my hair that much needed lift and boost. Also, this is perfect for those who hates waking up early in the morning or those who are always late (like me). You can now have that instant fresh hair in a jiffy (minus the time for shampooing, conditioning and drying your hair etc.) without actually showering. Well, no one could ever tell that you forgot to wash your hair unless you disclose it to them, right? :)
Say hello to my daily addiction. I have this product with me for months now and this is absolutely an essential for me. I always carry this inside my bag and I never skipped a day without using this product. This is the Snoe Body Ritual Recipes Sweet Hair and Body Glaze in Nectarine Ginger Tea. Firstly, this smells so damn  good! I am addicted to the scent. This has Sunflower Oil, Acai Berry and Argan Oil.
Sunflower Oil: Split-end protection, restores  damaged hair, providing remarkable shine to dull hair. It will penetrate the hair shaft to help produce protein, and aid in regaining you hair's natural oil and moisture.
Acai Berry: Improves the body's ability to heal itself by removing harmful free radicals in the body. In addition to antioxidants, acai contains phytonutrients and vitamins for proper skin regeneration.
Argan Oil: Highly rich in Vitamin E and F, fatty acids, squalene, antioxidants, carotene, phytosterols, and phenolic compounds, argan oil is clinically tested and proven to be quite miraculous indeed.

This  is a perfect hydrating product for everyday use. I am not a fan of hair serums or glosses but this one is an exception. Why?
This is not oily at all, it does not weigh down my hair and it feels ultra lightweight.  It also gives my hair that much needed shine without looking like I have lathered cooking oil, mayonnaise plus butter on it. hehe I bought this Snoe Counter at Galleria for only 180 pesos.
Can I just say that this is the best Hair Spray locally available? Haha This has maximum hold and controls my frizzies very well throughout the whole day. Yep, you heard me. Whole day! Also, the fragrance of this hairspray is very nice and long lasting too. Click this link for a detailed review of this product:

Now, after writing this post I just realized that I do not have any deep conditioner in my stash. What deep conditioner treatment do you use? Do you also know that Tresemme is now available locally in the Philippines? I have heard a lot of raves from US vloggers about their product and I want to try them so bad. Have you tried Tresemme products? Please share your thoughts about them.

All products are bought with my own money except for the Cleo Gourmet Herbal Shampoo which was sent to me for PR purposes.

Godbless everyone

  1. I'm actually looking for a good dry shampoo aside from the one from SM cause the weather's quite forgiving lately and I really dont shampoo my hair everyday (just wash and conditioner every other day). I can get away with it especially because I am usually indoors lang. Id like to give dry shampoo a try.
