Cheap Thrills: 4u2 Dream Girl Reflection Quattro Eyeshadow (Review, Photos, Swatches)

This 2013, I promised myself that I will try high end brands. I have always wanted to splurge on makeup but I vehemently refused to do so. Perhaps, the practical me  is not soo ready to spend thousand of pesos on makeup which I know have dupes out there. As my motto goes "There's always a dupe out there." Plus, who can't resist cheap thrills, right?  I wanted to buy a basic eyeshadow palette that I can wear everyday. I was thinking of buying Wet n Wild Palettes again or the In2it Eyeshadow quads. While strolling around Watsons (Perhaps, my favorite place in the world and boyfriend's most hated part of the mall.) I chanced  upon this palette at the 4u2 stall. It is the so small, it can fit my pockets.
Very handy and lightweight. The fact that is in hot pink makes it cuter!!
This is the Reflection Quattro Eyeshadow in No.1
I was sold when I swatched the colors at the back of my hand.  For only 199 pesos, you get a very nice handy eyeshadow palette.

I fell in love with the colors of this palette. The colors are perfect for everyday wear and with even for night outs (just blend it with a black eyeshadow and you are good to go.) The colors glides smoothly when applied. The color pay off is comparable to high end brands. It is very pigmented and blendable. It has a nice frost that gives the shadow that pearly shiny effect. The sheen is very very very subtle and it  reflects a good amount of light once applied. DO not fear looking like a disco ball when using this quad. I am honestly not into shimmery shadows but this one is super worth the try and  a raving blog post like this.
The texture is very creamy and with one swipe, you can immediately get a good amount of product for your lid. I tried using this today without any eye primer and it stayed in place for 2 hours without creasing. When paired with an eye primer, rest assured that it will not budge for almost the whole day. Note that I have a dry skin thus, sans the oily lids.

This eyeshadow palette has four shades which contains,
1st shade- a dark brown with red undertones
2nd shade -a nice frosty pale rosey champagne color (my favorite and reminds me of Urban Decay's eyeshadow in the shade SIN)
3rd shade- frosted warm peach-beige eyeshadow (reminds me of Mac's Naked Lunch and/or Grain)
4th shade - shimmery white color which is perfect for highlighting!

Do you agree that this one is such a steal?

I will make an FOTD post using this palette over the weekend.

Godbless everyone! Happy Valentine's day!!!

  10. Thanks for the review. But I think you should use cocoa butter for your fingers so that it wouldn't look dry on the pictures.

    1. Thanks for the concern.. :) I had this dilemma ever since. I have been using all sorts of moisturizers to keep my skin well moisturized because my skin is just too (excessively) dry. This might be connected to my long term disease psoriasis. (I have used loads of medicated lotions as well),,,

Well, despite this I praise God for my health!! What else can I do but to be thankful in all circumstances.. right? :)

      Godbless you. :)
