New Products: Revlon Nearly Naked and Ben Nye Banana Luxury Powder

The latest foundation from Revlon is a huge hit among popular Youtube Gurus. This, as most people say, is a heaven sent from the Drugstore Makeup Heaven. Sadly, this foundation is not yet available in the local market and if ever it will be available, surely, the price will be double than its usual drugstore price. (Blame tax and other custom duties, Revlon has to pay to bring their products here in our country!) However, there is no need to fret. A local multiply shop sells updated drugstore and high end make up products at a very affordable price.  I think this foundation only costs 500 pesos at Bon Marche Shop.  Everytime I visit her shop, all the products I want to buy are always out of stock.  I have been using this for a week and my review will be posted probaly next week. So far, this truly feels light on the skin as if I am not wearing any foundation.  For now, you can check Judy's full comparison  this product vis-a-vis Urban Decay's Naked Skin:

I finally caved in. Everyone is talking about this powder and its high time I try it. I am very surprised because this product is very small. Please do not be fooled by the pictures you see online. The 1.05 oz fits my palm. I bought this 800 pesos and unfortunately, I am not really loving this powder. I used this to set my liquid foundation and I ended up redoing my under eye makeup because it made my under eye look so dry and patchy. Also, my concealer got displaced. I tried applying this on my under eye with a sponge and a powder brush but both did not work. I thought this can be used an over all setting powder.. Hmm.. Oh Well.. I will be giving this products a few more days or weeks before giving my final verdict on it. Perhaps, using a flat top brush will make a difference. WHat do you think?

  1. Hit or miss din sa akin ang Ben Nye... di ko sya favorite, pero I use it when I feel it's the best choice... Di ko rin naman sya bet sa oil control.

  8. I haven't tried the Revlon foundation but I want to try it out.. parang maganda yung coverage without making you feel na andun yung foundation.. as for the Ben Nye powder..I don't think so.. siguro pag naging full time MUA na ako baka pwede pa for my clients.. and pag loose powder feeling ko baka ma-over apply ako pag ginamit ko.. :) can't wait for your reviews! :) xx Alice
