Pucker Up This Summer with Bright Lips
Look! Nothing above 350 500 pesos! |
Here are the swatches of the bright lippies that are very affordble. |
Let's start with the famous Maybelline Vivids. I know this lipsticks re not locally available but I bought this for only 300 pesos at www.kitshop.multiply.com or https://www.facebook.com/bonmarchepage?fref=ts I heard a lot of good things about this lipstick. When kitshop had it, I did not hesitated at all. I was hoping that I could wear Vivid Rose everyday. I was quite shocked when I saw the colors. They are super bright, pigmented and eye catching. What I hate about this lipstick is the scent. It smells like the lipstick that my mom used to wear when I was five. I find it quite disturbing but I can't resist the color pay off of this product. |
This is the actual color of the lipsticks when swatched on the back of my hand and even on the tube. |
Vivid Rose reminds me a lot of Lime Crime's Centrifuschia. This is a vibrant deep fuschia. |
I was expecting Shocking Coral to look pink peach on my lips just like the swatches online. However, this color is a neon salmon pink on me. A lot of times it tends to look like a hot Barbie Pink on my dark lips. |
One of the first lipstick I bought in January. I was planning to do a review bout it but ended up tossing the pictures I took in the recycle bin. This is the Nichido HD lipstick in Pretty Tulip. I was surprise when I saw this lipstick in the mall and I bought it on a whim. The color got me. For only 198 pesos, I gave this lippie a try. This is quite unforgiving with people with dry and chapped lips. It can highlight even the driest parts. I suggest exfoliating the lips before using this product and applying balm for added moisturization. The good news about this lippie is its staying power. It can stay on my lips for house even after eating. It leaves a hot pink stain on my lip after a long number of hours. I do not have to retouch often. |
The color Pretty Tulip is a beautiful bright hot pink lipstick with semi matte finish. |

Have you seen Angel Locsin's Folded and HUng Summer Ad? That led me to a romance with Orange lipstick. Ever Bilena Matte Lipstick in Hot Summer is a true orange shade. The color applies matte which has a strong tendency to dry out my lips. This color can intimidate some people so I suggest going one notch darker with Ever Bilena Matte Lipstick in Autumn Breeze. |
Have you heard about Ever Bilena's Xtreme Shine Lip COlour in 711. This only costs a whopping 75 pesos. This lippie is perfect for those who just want a wash of color without the OTT pigmentation of lipsticks. This is a sheer yet buildable glossy lippie. No need to add lipgloss when using this. 711 is a reddish orange color on my lips. |
Etude House Dear My Jelly Lips in JKP002 This is tinted glossy balm that applies smoothly. The shade is reddish pink on me but appears red in the pictures. I forgot to take a lip picture of the Etude House Cupcake All Over COlor in Raspberry. This products has never left my makeup kit as soon as I got it. It is housed in cute tin can and smells super good. I was a bit skeptical with it but the color showed beautifully on my dark lips. It has become my got to product because I use it on my cheeks and lips. What colors will you rock this summer? I am still in search for a beautiful pink lipstick with a punch of purple. Godbless everyone!

I want those Vivids! & good thing for you too you got the two shades that most people are raving about. Ooh, need to get that EB Hot Summer. I dont have their new shades yet. & I had that Nichido HD lip color too (in fetish pink) & my lips grossed me out because it highlighted my dry chappy lips. I gave it to my niece instead. She loves it, lol :D
ReplyDeleteInteresting swatches! I've never really been brave enough to try bold colors on my lips. The strongest I have so far is one of Flormar's. My favorite among these are the EH Jelly Lips and EB Hot Summer.

I've been meaning to look for summery lipsticks, as I noticed that most of my lipsticks now are reds and berries. I'm so stuck in fall colors!
ReplyDeleteAnyways, how much did you but the EH My Jelly lips and EH Overall color? Seems like great lip products.

You said nothing above 350, that is inaccurate, the etude jelly lips is 478 per lipstick.

DeleteHaha, also bought the Nichido lippie on a whim because the packaging looks very bobbi brown (black and gold). I also got Pretty Tulip, and you're right, it accentuates the driest parts of the lip.
