San San Hortaleza, M.D. BB Cream Review
The packaging is way better than my favorite San San Matte Foundation. Did you know that San San Matte Foundation is one of the products I immediately repurchase after all my makeup got burned? |
This BB Cream comes in one shade only. Sadly, the color will not suit gurls and gals with skintone lighter than NC35. Here is a swatch at the back of my hand. Notice that the color is very close to my skintone? Sadly, my arms and hands have a darker tone compared to the rest of my body. Thus, the shade is darker than my face. Whenever I use this alone, my face looks so unnatural and tends to look a bit orange while my neck looks so fair. Hello Oompa Loompa fez!! What I do is I mix this with a lighter shade of BB Cream like the Holika Holika Petit Essential BB cream or use a green makeup base underneath like the Etude House Sweet Recipe Choux Base in Mint. The San San BB Cream plus the ETude House Choux Base = LOVE!!! I have been loving this combo for weeks.
The shade is dark beige with peach undertone. |
My makeup free face :)) |
I use more than a pea size amount of product to even out my skin tone.
Tadaaaa!!!! Hands down to the coverage of this BB Cream!!
What I Like About This Product:
- The coverage is awesome. The pictures above will explain how great this product is in covering redness, dark spots and even dark circles.
- The consistency is very creamy and blendable.
- It has SPF 43!!
- Very affordable
- Locally available
- It did not cause any irritation on my skin.
- It has only one shade. The color is suitable to morenas and would totally off on fair skinned gals. Dear HBC, please please release a lighter shade of this BB Cream!! PLEASE!!
- This product made my skin oily after two or three hours of use.
- There are times when the pump dispenser does not work or dispense the product quickly.
Overall, I highly suggest this product to Morena and medium skintoned ladies out there. Finally, a BB Cream that will not make us look like a ghost!!! hehe Just make sure to set it with a good setting powder to prevent your face from oiling up.
Godbless everyone!

Definitely loved this product. I also wish that they have lighter shades for this since it's really too dark on me. Good thing my sis, Trace, is tanner now and made use of it. :P
ReplyDeleteYay! Perfect for me too.. It just bothers me that it makes the skin oily for only a few hours. I have an oily skin and this might be a problem :(
ReplyDeleteI really wanted to try this out but I'm fair-skinned so the shade is too dark for me! :(
ReplyDeleteTrue, this is an excellent BB cream. I switched to another product only because this is a teeny bit too dark for me.
