The Face Shop Black Label Lipstick Review and Swatches (Boyfriend's Picks)

I am on a lipstick craze right now. I just can't help myself. A month ago, I was ogling at this lipsticks from the Face Shop. I was with BF then and he was not in his usual self because he acceded that I should get these lipsticks. I picked up these shades and BF nodded with extreme approval. He loves dainty everyday colors, shades that are not to loud and definitely pa-gurl effect! haha Each lipstick costs 300 something pesos. I apologize that I forgot to note the price.

I just wanted to get the shade #2 or the Soft Coral but ended up adding two more.

These lipsticks remind me of NYX Round Lipstick because of its consistency. Some bloggers say that its texture is comparable to Mac Cremesheen lipsticks but tad bit softer. These goes on smoothly when applied. I find the texture very creamy especially for the shades #13 and #2. Due to its soft texture, the lipstick tends to slide off my lips and tends stain my teeth. The pigmentation is very nice. However, I need to apply two or more layers to cover my dark lip lines completely. This lipstick has a gorgeous glossy finish. It has no funky scent and it feels light on the lips. The staying power is quite decent but not great. Expect that this lipstick to disappear after eating. This lipstick does not totally dry out my lips. It gives a hint of moisture on the lips.

Shade Description

#13 Pink Brown - This is a neutral pinkish brown color but appears nudish on my lips when applied. It does not completely wash me out but gives my lips a beautiful hint of color. I paired this with smokey eyes and it looked perfect.

#2 Soft Coral - I could recall that I was drawn to this exact lip color on my Aunt's makeup palette when I was younger (around five yrs old) . Soft Coral is a beautiful light coral peach color which has no hint of pink.

#11 Lovely Pink - This is a soft dainty pink that is perfect for everyday and dinner dates! hihi The color is very sweet and it brightens my face in an instant.
