Must Try Local Products Part 1

Hello guys!! Ok this has been a stressful day!! So here I am typing away this blog post to ease my frustrations. It was one of my countless dumb moments..tsk tsk. Ok.. moving on... I have always been a fan of affordable products even now that I can somehow afford trying high end products. I would always have that hesitation in mind. These are my top local products that I highly suggest to all of you!
FS Cosmetics 2 Way Foundation:  I lost track of the pans I used up.. I have been using this for years now. I can't believe I found my perfect shade match in Chino. I always have a dilemma in choosing the right color of foundation either they make me look ghostly or muddy. Chino looks like my second skin. This foundation has a medium coverage which covers the redness and eye bags quite well even without a makeup base. It has a matte finish and lasts 3-4 hours on me sans retouching. San San Matte Finish Liquid Foundation: This is one of the first product I bought after the tragedy last Christmas. I figured that I needed a liquid foundation that has a good coverage but will definitely not break the bank. This immediately popped in my head. For a whopping 100 pesos, this foundation has a superb coverage. It applies smoothly and evens out my skin tone perfectly. I hope San San would release more shades. No. 3 is a tad bit lighter on my skintone.

FS Eyelash Curler: This lash curler gives a good grip and is very sturdy. Mine lasts for years. I just replace the rubber pads. This has never cut my lashes and creates a gorgeous curl out out of my sparse lashes.

Charm Brushes: I am truly proud of Filipino made products and if there is one brand that deserves a spotlight even in international markets, it would definitely be Charm Brushes. This set is a gift from the lovely Sophie of Beautynomics when tragedy hit my family. I never expected this one from her. I also received a Charm Travel Pro Brush Set from the ever gorgeous Phoebe! These brushes never shed and bled ever. It also feels so gentle on my sensitive skin. What I love about Charm Brushes is the amount of effort Sophie puts into each brush/brush set in  conceptualizing them from the packaging, brush holder down to its bristles. Nichido Kohl Eyeliner: One of the most pigmented liners in the local market. This liner only costs 138 pesos. It glides on smoothly on my lids. It does not break easily when sharpened. I love using it for tightlining. More of my review here:

Nichido Lip Liner in Rosette: This is my ultimate life saver. I literally can't leave without this baby!! This is heaven sent to those with dark lip lines like me. This is one of the few makeup products that I discovered at the early stage of my makeup addiction. hihi I think I have been using one since college. I can skip the lipstick and I can go out using this alone because Rosette is quite close to my actual lip color. This also prevents my lipstick from bleeding. This is truly one of the unsung heroes in my makeup kit.

Nichido Mineral Concealer in Natural: When I saw that this was included in a promo makeup bundle of Nichido last few months ago, I immediately bought a back up out of fear that it would be phased out. This is my secret in achieving bigger eyes.  I ran it around my lower lash line and it instantly make my eyes more awake.

Fashion 21 Double UP Mascara: Finally a local mascara that can live up to the hype!!! This lengthens my lashes and hold my curls for about 3-4 hours. I also love the fact that this is smudge proof. More of this mascara here:
San San Create Your Own Eyeshadow: Who does not love bargain finds???Would you believe that the above swatches are from eye shadows which only cost 50 pesos each. I love these two colors from CYO San San Eyeshadows a lot. Deep Earth Brown is a matte warm taupe that works well as a contour powder on the crease area and on the cheeks. Charcoal Brown looks like a perfect dupe of Pistol in the Naked Palette. I have been loving these shades for everyday wear. I highly recommend these two shades. More on the San San CYO Eyeshadows here:

Celeteque BB Cream: Finally a local bb cream that works as good as Korean ones!! Yes!! It does an amazing job of making my skin look fresh and flawless throughout the day. It did not break me out nor caused me rashes. It also does not feel greasy at all. This is an instant skin brightener that helped in evening out my skin tone. 1. Been interested in buying the Sansan eyeshadows since your post. :) I think I am heading to HBC tom to purchase those. I reread your post about the F21 Double up mascara and i've also seen this in some youtubers/bloggers...i am thinking of purchasing one since I need to throw away my maybelline falsies na :( its really nice that local products are being noticed and quality is really good. :) looking forward for your next post.

  2. Of these, I trust Nichido, Celeteque and Charm the most. They're affordable but have great quality :)

  3. Hi! Great post! I might try some of these products, you convinced me to do so haha! I'm eyeing that Charm Brush set it looks really great! Where can I buy the Charm brush set? :) Thank you!

And this morning ginamit ko sya, so excited to use, buti na lng di makati s mukham and korek ang ganda nito s mukha, dahil sa review mo napabili lang me, last month ko pa talaga siya hinahanap. thank you ! now nman next in line ko Fashion 21 Double UP Mascara, meron pa kasi ako ng hayan mascara .
    thank you Ms. Donna.

  5. Celeteque BB Cream! One of the best! :) It doesn't give me much break outs. I LOVE IT! <3

  6. We're the same regarding affordable products. I'm still hesitant to spend a lot on makeup because there are more affordable brands that can do just as well. I'd rather spend on skin care. I can't recommend a local product anymore because almost all of the things I love are already in this post. Haha! Charm brushes are the bomb!

  7. thanks for this kind of post, now im excited for the part 2 of this post!

  8. Celeteque BB cream! Yes, it's my everyday go to makeup. Hindi nakaka-iritate ng skin plus affordable.
My must try local product is the lipstick from Milk & Co. Though mabibili lang sya through direct selling, their matte lipstick are awesome! Their eyeshadow quads are good too, very pigmented.

  9. Great haul ms. donna! i've been wanting to try sansan products. I hope you can review them individually and come up with more tutorials in the future! more powers to you :)

  10. love this post! I will check out that Celeteque BB Cream ^_^

  11. Hi!!! Thanks for this post. I already bought 2 San San eyeshadows: Vanilla Bean and Charcoal Brown. I love it!!!

  12. Like you I found the foundation the matches my skin tone in FS. Been using Orleans for almost 3 years now and I've no plans in looking for a replacement, I mean why should I, coverage is the best, I never had break outs and the fact that it made my skin look flawless minus the white cast made it more irreplaceable! I always buy mine at SM Makati. I like that I always get a free item like body glitter gel whenever I purchase there. Friends na kami ni ate sales clerk dun kaya aside from the free item, I can freely check and try other FS makeups, without her giving me the 'bibili ka ba?' look! :)

  13. Grabbed my notepad for this list..

naverify ko na na I really have to get the FS lash curler.. bet na bet ko na yun dati pa.. ewan ko ba sa sarili ko bakit di ako bumibili.. :)

then I read everything.. Naku iscreenshot ko na nga lang sa phone haha.. para pagmall ko ulit.. gusto ko lahat to eh.. :) Salamat sis..

(Dear Santa, shall I place my Christmas stockings na po ba? Will send you the screenshots of this list, my Christmas wishlist.. :) haha.. )

  14. I have etude autolipliner cost about 98pesos i super love it but ive realized that its super konti lang pala. I should try that nichido and the concealer natatawa ako I am thinking of buying the concealer pencilpero iniisip ko mauubos sya agad sa eyebags ko haha. I never thought of putting it under my lash line . Guess Im still learning about make ups. About celeteque bb cream naman.. since you posted it here i ditch my old one na. Im impressed that its hypoallergenic.

  15. I cant get enough with this post talaga hehe.. i havent try sansan liquid foundation but it must be really good bec you put that in your list. I have tried their powders and i like it. The CYO can double as a filler for eyebrows so thats a must try also.

  16. i just tried the FS two way cake kanina lang... is it just me or does it smell like chocolate? hahaha...

  17. Being a teenage girl ive been interested with make-up and stuffs. while reading your blog, I was getting more interested! Planning to get some of these products soon (:

  18. I never gave a chance to Sansan Faoundation before. Akala ko kasi since mura siya poor to average lang nagre-range yung performance niya but then I read this so I might give this product a change. Wee. Ka-excite!
