Review: San San HD Concealer

Thanks genes, because of you, I am a self confessed concealer dependent. Having dark under eyes has been my greatest dilemma. I have zit free face but I just can't go out of the house without any concealer under my eye because certainly people would be asking me if I have been stressing out myself alot. Huhuhu That's how noticeable and dark my under eyes look like. Stress Drilon ang peg! Since then, I have been on a lookout with a great concealer. Other than foundation and BB Cream, I do not get tired of buying concealers. Base Makeup Products are truly my faves. Buying this new San San Concealer was never in my plan but the heck! The price tag got me! 105 pesos for a concealer? Seriously? Then, swatching came next...So, I think I bought this concealer out of sheer curiosity because of it super cheap price tag.
It comes in a twistable pen brush type concealer. The opaque shiny violet packaging makes it hard for me to see the amount of product left in the tube. I only need a pea size a mount to cover both my under eyes.
This concealer has a  thick (comparable to Collection Cosmetics concealer but slightly thicker) consistency and dries quickly too.Despite this, I find the product very blendable even on my dry skin. It has a natural matte finish. It does not settle on the fine lines but it does crease. Thus, using a setting powder is a must. I got the shade beige which is a light yellow toned concealer. It does not cancel out the bluish purple color under my eyes but it does a superb job in covering my blemishes and eye bags instantly. Hands down to its pigmentation. Ang galing lang. This stays on my under eye for hours unless I rub my eyes (I have developed this bad habit which has been causing me wrinkles and darker bags. tsk) If I do not rub my eyes, this stays put really well. Despite being too light, this works well under my eyes as long as I set it a darker shade of powder foundation. Great thing about it is that it also has SPF 15 and it does not give off a white cast even in flash photography.

The things I dislike about this product is that it does cake and it can highlight the dryness of my face. Also, beige is too light for me. Hope they can have salmon/peachy shade soon! Please San San hear my plea. Hahaha
Without concealer/With Concealer

Overall, I love this concealer A LOT!!! For 105 pesos, this concealer can compete with my 2013 fave concealers MAC Prolongwear and Collection Cosmetics. I just hope they have it in the shade in Olive. Please do tell me if they have an OLIVE shade because the HBC near my store only carries two shades Natural and Beige. So I think I should be hoarding na after I post this review! Teehee.. :)

Godbless everyone!

  2. Now I'm definitely checking these out. I've missed my click pen concealers for under the eyes! What about spillage though? I remember my Essence one spilling like mad even after I'm done using it so I wasted a lot of product.

  10. Ive tried their age defense concealer and i am disappointed because it dries so fast, if you dont put primer before hand you will just end up with a gross patch on your cheeks. Sigh. But I think this one's better. Im hoping!

  15. i don't know how to use concealers... :( it's either i don't blend it well enough that you can see there's concealer, or i over blend it that it gets lost... haha... so i don't use concealers nalang...
