All Made Up Chronicles #1: Spring Fling

Are you ready for a burst of color this spring? Well, I am! Blue, pastel colored eye shadows and bright orange lipstick are some of the makeup trends you'll be definitely be seeing this 2014. To jumpstart my excitement for this season, I decided to play with makeup. Also, I have been receiving new products for review but I have been lagging with my review posts, so I decided to make a new series on my blog called "All Made Up Chronicles". My makeup play blog posts will feature new products and old favorites. I might add some makeup swatches and capsule reviews of the items I used. So here is part 1 of my Makeup Play Chronicles inspire by the trends of Spring 2014.

My reluctance for blue eye shadow made me pair it up with a lilac/purple shade for the lid. Good thing Ellana's Eyeshadow quad contains all the colors I needed for this look. Here are the swatches of the quad. It goes on very pigmented and creamy on my lids, however, be wary of the fall outs because this e/s can get powdery . The dark blue and black shadows can also double as liners. :)
You can buy Ellana products here.
Here are the other products that I used for this look:
For the face, I used my Pixi Flawless and Poreless Face Primer. This feels light on the face and this also makes my foundation adheres better. For foundation, I used my San San HD Liquid foundation in Olive. To brighten up my under eyes, I decided to use my Collection Concealer. To give my cheeks a flush of color, I used Ellane Blush in Obsession. Seriously speaking, this blush is amazing. This is a duo blush from Ellana and it lasts on me for hours! This is one of the most long lasting blush  I have ever tried. I was raving this one to Liz last Thursday at the Canmake Event. To contour my face and nose, I use Snoe Slim Shade Me in Walnut.

For the Eyes, I used my Ellana Smokey Pressed Palette and NYX HD Eyeshadow base as primer. For the brows, I am really loving Pixi's Natural Brow Duo. I am not digging the pencil that much but the brow gel is seriously amazing. The brow gel keeps my untamed brows in place the whole day. This is definitely one of the best products from Pixi that I have tried aside from the Eye brightener. I also used Pixi's Eye Brightener to make my eyes more awake. For mascara, I used my Tony Moly Simply Style Slim Mascara. This is my first time to try it and I have mixed feelings about it. Give me a day or two to discover how to use it and if does not work, then this will definitely be going on my miss list. To line my eyes, I use my Maybelline Gel Liner and for the Waterline and for tightlining, I used Holika Holika Jewel Light Waterproof Liner.

Lastly for the lips, I use Mac Chatterbox Lipstick. Could it be that I have finally found my perfect pink lipstick? Then, I top it off with this sweet and yummy scented lipgloss from the Etude House Shining Dream Set in Peach.

Godbless!
