Mary Kay CC Cream Review

I have known the brand Mary Kay ever since college. I have hit pan on most of their blushes. My fondest memory of this brand is getting worried on where to get my back up on their pink and salmon blushes that look effortlessly good on my yellow skinton (or so I think?!?). I got this from a reader of mine named Gracie who owns the online shop: https://www.facebook.com/Allaboutbeautyholics?ref=br_tf...cge
Allaboutbeautyholics offers makeup products from different brands such as ELF, Mary Kay, Beuaty UK and etc.

When I got Gracie's package, I immediately tested the CC Cream. Well, this is officially my second tube of CC Cream and I am pretty excited to test it out. I must say that after testing out my second CC Cream, I find it no different from a BB Cream or tinted moisturizer. Okay here are my three P's and a V!(umaacronyms lang.. I honestly can't think of any because I have been doing reviews like forever and it seems my posts does not conform to any format so I made one).

Packaging:

The packaging of this CC Cream is one of the best I have ever seen. Tube plus pump? OC peeps, this one is definitely for you. The product is housed in a black plastic tube packaging with pump. The product is very lightweight and the pump easily dispenses the product in a controlled manner.

Product Review:

This CC Cream has a faint plastic scent which is no big deal to me. The consistency is creamy with a tiny hint of gel like texture to it. Due to its texture, this product is best applied with the use of the fingers. The warmth of my fingers makes it easier to blend the product. I got the shade light-medium which looks light beige on my yellow skintone. After a few seconds of application, this product can instantly mimic my truest shade and tone. You can refer to the photo below. It definitely looked like my second after few seconds of blending it. Yes.  I got that parang-wala-naman-nangyari expression on my first use not knowing that I have been build up the product too much with 3-4 layers. After a few minutes, this CC Cream can even turn darker than my skintone (this is not visible on photos). Blame it to my acidic skin for reacting this way. :( I really think that this product lives up to its name as a Complexion Corrector Cream because it adjusts with one's skintone. To remedy this, I just a lighter shade of foundation and I get even coverage. This product covers minor imperfections and can totally get rid of redness. It feels light on the skin and is very hydrating. It claims that it can hydrate the skin for 10 hours and truth be told it does not leave any crazy patches on my very dry skin. It does not cake except if you use 4 or more layers. As for staying power, I noticed that my Tzone gets oilier after 3-4hours of use. Thus, touching up is necessary. I do not think that this product will work well with very oily skin types.
Price:

It is priced at 825 pesos  per tube. If you compare this price to its Korean brand counterparts, the price point is very competitive.
Verdict:
Overall, I really like how this CC Cream hydrates my dry skin. This is perfect for travelling because of its lightweight packaging and the pump dispenser is awesomeness defined especially for neat freaks/OC people. I just do not like the fact that it turned darker than my skintone.

  3. I can attest to this because I am a Mary kay Independent Beauty Consultant. CC cream for best results should be used in tandem with powder if you have oily T-zone. Can be used alone if normal to dry skin ka naman.
