Himalaya Herbals Facial Wash Review

I have kept my skin care routine simple for the past ten years or so - cleanse, moisturize and spf overload. Looking back, I was not really not brave in jumping from one skin care product to another. For example. If one moisturizer will work on my skin, I will probably be using it for the next three years or so and I would have a serious panic attack if such brand would be phased out in the market. That’s what I felt when Himalaya Herbals were suddenly pulled out in Watsons. This is a brand that I have discovered way back in law school. It felt like finding a treasure. Pramis! I was dead serious in finding a skin care brand that would work on my sensitive skin which must be very affordable. Siyempre school girl budget ako dati.. Uhmm until present? Hehe Before receiving news from Sampleroom Ph that Himalaya Herbals is now officially back in the Philippine market, I have already snagged a tube of my all time favorite Neem Facial Wash! (You can click here for my review. ) I already finish one tube and I am currentlyfinishing another tube which Sampleroom gave me. In this post, I will be talking about two cleansers from Himalay Herbals that I am currently using.

Himalaya Herbals Gentle Exfoliating Facial Wash
This exfoliates dead skin cells and blackheads and unclogs pores. It also deep cleanses facial skin and stimulates fresh cell growth to keep skin soft and glowing. Routine cleansing does not remove dead skin cells and deeply embedded impurities, leaving skin lifeless and prone to blackheads.Gentle Exfoliating Apricot Scrub has Apricot kernel granules that gently scrub the skin to remove dead skin cells and blackheads.

My Verdict: Exfoliators has two effects on my skin. A good exfoliator can clean my skin and slough off all my dead skin away. A bad exfoliating cleanser, on the other hand, can trigger my psoriasis, can cause itching. Reddening and rashes. This is why I am very keen on using exfoliators not only my face but for my entire body. The Himalaya Herbal Gentle Exfoliating Facial Wash  is made of a gel cleanser with fine microbeads. The beads are small enough to gently slough my skin’s impurities. This is my quick remedy everytime I have dull skin (something which I always encounter.. Thanks to Manila’s pollution). This works very well on my sensitive skin and I can use it on days when I have rashes. My only problem with this scrub is that I need extra pressure in lathering the product so I can really feel the beads against my skin. This has a subtle organic/herbal scent to it like the other Neem wash of Himalaya Herbals.
Himalaya Herbals Clear Complexion Whitening Wash
A soap-free, daily use face wash that cleanses and clarifies your skin of impurities, giving you a clear, radiant and even complexion. Saffron, well-known for its complexion enhancing properties helps clear skin of spots and blemishes while Licorice and White Dammer help regulate melanin synthesis restoring your skin's natural fairness. Pomegranate nourishes while Cucumber soothes your skin. Use morning and evening for visibly brighter, clearer and glowing skin.

My Verdict: This Clear Complexion Whitening Facial Wash is very creamy and has a very fragrant scent to it. The consistency of this facial wash is akin to a moisturizer. This is soap free, hence, perfect for those with dry and sensitive skin like me.  When I first used this product, I really thought that it will not create suds or bubbles but it magically foams up when I started lathering it onto my skin. This is more moisturizing than the Neem Facial wash variants. This does not make my skin feel tight but leaves it soft and supple after every use.

Overall, I love both these facial washes and I will definitely repurchase once I ran out. If you'll ask me what is my favorite Himalaya Herbals Facial Wash, I'd still say it is the Purifying Neem Facial Wash. This facial cleanser just have that awesome ability of taming my rashes.
