Etude House Beauty Shot Face Blur

I am not in the mood lately. Blame PMS or hormones, but I am feeling under the weather for days. This has also affecting been affecting my blogging schedule. I could go all the day glued on Youtube but still uninspired to blog. Heck. What is wrong with me? I have scheduled my blog posts for the day but decided to change it because I wanted to blog things that I have been loving. I chose to review this Etude House Beauty Shot Face Blur. I bought this primer on a whim. I told you tipid mode ako (as always) but while walking around megamall I saw Etude House's poster of this product. The name of the product caught my eye and a few moments later, I was googling reviews of this product. By that time, there were still a few reviews online. By now, I have seen fellow Pinay bloggers who reviewed this product already.

So, for the record, Etude House did not send me this product. I bought it with my own money.
This product promises to Smoothen, Hide Pores and Tones the Skin. It comes in a pump bottle and has a weight of 35 grams. The bottle itself feels very light and handy. I like the pump very much because I can control the amount of product it dispenses. For my whole face, I use at least two pumps. I evenly spread it across my face and concentrate on my center of my face and cheek area.
According to Etude House, this lightweight cream provides multi blurring effects for instantly refined and smooth skin. Skin's texture is smoothened; Pores minimized and Skin Brightened.

Imagine this as a camera 360 product that instantly blurs out your imperfections and delivers a brightening filter. Ganon ang level niya. The color of the product is a light baby pink with no sparkle or glitter. Yes! Finally, a skin brightener with no shiny shimmering effect. This instantly brightens my yellow skin tone because of the light pink hue.  This does a great job of smoothening my face especially on days when I have little to no rashes. However, this does not work if my skin is suffering from dryness or too much flaking due to rash break outs or psoriasis. This magically covers up my pores and can even make my skin look almost poreless. This also works well with my dry skin and but does not lengthen the staying power of my foundation. By mid day, my skin looks immacutely dewy because of the natural oils plus the brightening effect of this primer.  This works well as a foundation base because it does not alter the foundation color. It has a tiny bit of a white cast on flash photography but I can definitely say that my skin looks so good on the camera whenever I use this primer.
This primer may not work well on Morena Skintones and might appear too light on darker skintones. I really think that it blends well on fair to medium skintones. I love applying this product with the use of my fingers to melt the product.

This is the before and after photo of my skin. I made sure zoom in na zoom in so you can see all my pores. The second photo speaks for itself.

I really like this primer from Etude House. I bought it for 898 pesos. Will I buy it again? Althought this is a good pore minimizing base, I am looking for a makeup base that can also lenghten the staying power of my makeup. Perhaps, Etude House can reformulate this product and add that property to make this one a Holy Grail Material.

What do you think? Is this product a yay or a nay?

  1. Would you prefer Happy Skin Instablur over this primer? :)

  2. Is this silicone-based? Nagkaka pimple kasi ako pag silicone-based. :( I have one from essence, di siya silicone-based at parang wala namang effect.
