The Face Shop Lovely Me Ex Style My Brow Pencil Review

I bought this on a whim because it was on sale for buy 1 take 1. There was a bit of clamor for Thae Face Shop brow pencils and even my friend who loves makeup swear by their brow products. So, I went ahead and got myself the pencil shade in No. 3. Initially, I was not a fan of the gray brown shade but it is the only shade available so I do not have any choice. On my first few tries of this product, I fell in love with it but I started to disliked it when it slowly became too cakey. I ditched this and threw it in my makeup drawer and bought the retractable Design My Brow by The Shop instead. I fell in love with the Design My Brow that I completely forgot about this pencil. Few weeks ago, I decided to try this again after newly sharpening it and now I am almost done with 3/4 of the pencil. Well, sabi nga nila, Love is sweeter the second time around. True enough, I love this pencil even more. Actually, I can't decide if this one is better than the Design My Brow of vice versa.

This works best when newly sharpened. This creates a very natural soft finish on the brows. No. 3 looks great on my skintone and blends very well with my brow hairs. This look au naturel on me. I use it alone without setting it with brow powder and it lasts almost the whole day on me without retouching. (Take note, I have dry skin). The pencil is neither hard nor too soft. The texture is just perfect and with the use of a spoolie, I can readily spread the color on my brows. There are times that I bring the color down to my nose bridge for instant nose contouring.  It goes on pigmented and depending on the manner of application, I can go with light feathery strokes to bold lines.
The technique in using this brow pencil is sharpening it. The pointed tip can help in filling out the bald pacthes on the brows and in creating a nice brow shape. Also, it is best to start with clean brows before applying this pencil to prevent caking. I use my Marionnaud spoolie to clean my brows with product build up.
For 150 pesos (I think, basta less than 200 pesos), this is a very very good brow pencil. For the price point, pigmentation and blendability, this is one of the most affordable and highly recommended brow pencils in the market.

Godbless

  2. I tried the design my brows of The FAce Shop. I am not sure though if medyo makapal lang pagkakalagay nung SA but I looked kontrabida lang. Can you suggest other brow products for those with very very thin brows?
