Back to Back: Avene Hydrance Optimale Light Hydrating Cream Review

moisturizer
I have had many instances of not loving products during my first try but being a firm believer of second chances (naks naman), I do not throw or giveaway these products instantaneously. One of the products that I am not in love with during my first try was this moisturizer. I had the chance to use it again when I ran out of my Physiogel AI Cream. At that time, I was suffering from severe rashes. After a few days of using this moisturizer, I noticed the significant difference on my face. My rashes started to heal and fade. As days went by, I grew to love this moisturizer. I am even considering buying a second tube in preparation for my big day because I plan to use it on my wedding.

From Avene:
Lightweight daily facial cream specifically formulated to mimic the eye's perfect moisturizing system. The gentle moisturizer provides long lasting hydration and absorbs excess oil for a shine-free finish.

This is a very runny moisturizer. It feels like a very very lightweight lotion on the skin. Whenever I apply this, I can instantly feel its amazing hydration on my dry skin making my skin plump and soft. It does not have a sticky feel nor does it leave any greasiness. It has a very refeshing milky scent. It also has SPF 20 but does not give off a white cast on photos. I can attribute my good skin to this moisturizer. I have not yet experience any major rash breakout ever since I use this moisturizer. It also feels very soothing on my sensitive skin. I love the fact that it works well on both warm and cold season and keeps my face well moisturized. I just need two-three pea sized amount for my whole face.

My only complaint is its price!! My gulay 1200 or 1400 ba ito and it only weighs 40 ml. Good thing is despite repeated everyday use, this is very economical to use because a little product goes a long way.
Overall, I think this is a great moisturizer despite its steep price. I really love it. It has soothing properties which makes my skin rash free and healthy looking. I am planning to repurchase as soon as I ran out.

Godbless

  1. Gosh, it's so expensive for a small tube! But if it works for you, then I guess it's money well-spent.

  2. Yung biglang malamig na hangin kapag gabi, it's been tough on my skin. It dries me out and makes me prone to sudden breakouts. That's why I'm looking to get a hypo-allergenic moisturizer next. I just want to avoid flare-ups, and Avene is looking good to be right now.
