Review: Quick FX CC Cream

Hello everyone! One of the products that have been with me on my trip to Singapore and Thailand was this travel friendly sachet of makeup. Today, I will be reviewing this cheap thrill for all of you.  Quick FX brand is not new here in my blog because I have raved about their No Shine Mattifier in 2013, if you have not read my blog post about it, here is the link:

The Quick FX CC Cream comes in a sachet packaging similar with their No Shine Mattifier. It also has a twist cap cover which makes it perfect for trips and travel. This is very light and handy containing 10 grams of product. A sachet of this CC Cream can last you for 1-2 weeks of regular use. I did not even finish one sachet during our 13 day honeymoon (take note I do not apply too much of this product. Two Pea Size amount is perfect for my entire face).
Before reviewing the product itself, let me give you a quick review on what is a CC Cream. CC Cream is a color correcting cream that claims to reduce redness and sallowness of the skin. Its aim is to even out the skintone and aims to brighten the skin. The Quick FX CC Cream promises color correction that conceals, hydration, and illumination for healthy glow. This product has Sodium Hyaluronate which is a hydrating ingredient. It also contains Fruit extracts that is rich in anti aging elements and antioxidants. Lastly, this product contains V-Peptide that boosts skin's firmness and helps in brightening the skin.

The Quick FX CC Cream is quite runny and it comes in a minty white color with very very tiny brown beads. The texture of this CC Cream is very lightweight and blendable.
It appears very light and whitish on first application but the color adapts to my skin color after a few minutes of application. This does not have any scent to it (as far as I remember). It goes on smoothly on the skin when applied.
The coverage is light but is buildable depending on the amount of product you will apply. Applying too much of the CC Cream has the tendency of making you look ghostly but with a darker shade of setting powder and after a few minutes. The color adapts to my skin tone fairly well. Take note that I have medium yellow skin tone.

On the photo below, the CC Cream did help in brightening my face to the Nth level. hehe It also even it out. It covered minor problem areas. It did make my pores and even the blackheads on my nose less visible. It did not, however, covered my undereye circles but it helped in brightening them. On the third photo, you will notice that my face color look is a shade close to my neck compared to the second photo where I look like Casper's sister.
What I love about this CC Cream:

1. Affordable. It only costs 89 pesos. Great for those who want to try CC Cream or for makeup starters.
2. It is travel friendly. The plastic twist up cap makes it more perfect for trips and travel.
3. It did not irritate my skin.
4. It is lightweight and blends easily.
5. It is not drying.
6. It is a good face brightener.
7. It does not have white cast on flash photography.
8. It works well with my rash prone skin.
9. It can act a very good base or primer and blends very well with another product like concealer or foundation for added coverage.
10. It evens out my skin tone, tones down the redness on my skin, and it slightly covers up my blackheads and pores.
11. Can give a slightly dewy finish

What I do not like about this CC Cream:
1. It does not have a good staying power. The brightening power does not last the whole day.
2. I feel that my face is a tad bit oilier whenever I use this product.

Overall, I like this product for everyday use. Aside from being affordable, this does a good job of brightening my face. I highly recommend this for those with fair to light-medium skin tones.

Have you tried this product? Is it a yay or nay?

Godbless

  2. I use iWhite Facial Cream Whitening Vita 3 in 1, As i read your blog about the CC Cream i noticed that they have similarities. But the iWhite is much affordable than the CC Cream 6ml for 20 pesos and i've use it more than 10 times it's available at any watson store :-)
