Review: W7 The Cheeky Trio and W7 HD Foundation

I love trying out new makeup brands particularly those that are not very popular here in MNL. Zarah, owner of mustlovemakeup_ph on instagram contacted me via email if I would be willing to try W7 products. (Of course, hihindi ba ako?) W7 is a UK brand that is popular for their products that are dupes for high end brands. But wait there's more, they also have a lot of products that are quite innovative and are valued at a very affordable price. You can check out their products here:

I utterly delighted when I saw the Cheeky Trio as part of the package sent to me. I was drawn to the pink metal packaging and the products looked amazing on the pan. This contains a bronzer, blush and a highlighter.

Dream Machine ( Bronzer)- This is way lighter for a bronzer on my medium yellow skintone. At the back of my hand, the color does not show up but on my cheeks, this is a gorgeous muted light brown with peach tones and golden sheen. On the pan, it looks like it has gold specks but does not really show up on the skin when applied.

5th Avenue (Blush) This is a bright matte coral pink. I love how smooth and pigmented this blush is.

Hot Stuff (Highlighter) This is an ivory highlighter with a light champagne sheen.

All three shades apply seamlessly on the skin sans any gritty feel. They adhere really when on the skin and blends on the skin like a dream especially the blush. As for its staying power, each product lasts up to 3 hrs sans retouching.

On this photo, I used Dream Machine and 5th Avenue. I am having issues with my new lighting because the unit where we moved does not have natural lighting :(
Another product sent to me is the W7 HD Foundation. I got the shade natural beige. There aren't many reviews on this product so I just tried my luck in searching for my match. Natural Beige is a light beige shade with very slight hints of pink tones.
It is housed in a glass bottle with a pump dispenser.
The coverage is light to medium and gives off a natural finish.
Coverage wise, it does even out my skin tone and can slightly cancel out my redness and under eye circles. It has a creamy consistency and blends incredibly well on my dry skin. It does not highlight my dry patches that much.It also feels lightweight and works well as a good everyday foundation. I set it with my powder foundation and it stays for hours on my skin.

Excited for w7 to be available in local beauty counters soon.

  1. Hot stuff seems like a good highlighter shade 😍 Love the tin box packaging most W7 products have! Excited na ako para dun sa swatches/comparison nung eyeshadow palette <3 :)

  2. Like you, I also like exploring and trying new products... W7 foundation seems an interesting product to try... based on your review it does cover skin imperfections and is nice for everyday use... I guess its light lang on the skin and gives that natural finish that we'd like to see everyday! I have several blushes pa so I'm not that interested with the cheeky trio :)
