Lunch Event: An Introduction to Neutrogena Fine Fairness BB Cream

Hi everyone!Years ago, minerals was biggest thing in the makeup industry. Every beauty junkie I knew of owns at least one mineral makeup in her stash. Now, everyone is into this bb cream craze. My friends who are not so into makeup, are asking me what BB creams are nice. They heard that it is different from the normal liquid foundation or tinted moisturizer in the market. Most BB creams promises a lot of skin benefits from UV protection to whitening effects. Neutrogena now joins the bandwagon. Knowing the quality of skin care products that Neutrogena products makes,I am so excited to try their BB cream. The Neutrogena BB cream is their final addition to their Fine Fairness Range. I am very honored to be a part of this event which happened at Chef Jessie, Rockwell Club yesterday. It was a very informative lunch with Neutrogena and Dra. Frez. I told her "tabi tayo!!" wahaha I was really excited to talk to her. I thought she was suplada or snob because the first time I met her was in a dinner hosted by Neutrogena too. She gave me than sweet shy smile before. The moment we sat on the table, our chika was never ending! You thought our bonding time ended after the lunch event was through? NO way Jose!! We strolled at the Powerplant Mall and drank milk tea at Happy Lemon. (She loves strolling around the mall alone, and I love doing that too. WHy? because nobody wants to come with me and spend half a day looking at makeup, clothes and whatever fancy my eyes!!) We spent talking about a lot of things for almost four hour or more!! From makeup to life. I was really blown away with her attitude. She radiates this positive energy and she is really pretty. I asked her about the negative comments being thrown at her in her videos. I heard the best answer from a 20 yr. old lady! She is very driven, positive and family oriented. I cannot wait to spend another time with her soon. :D

Quick and Simple Side Ponytail Look

Hi guys. My previous post was about how to curl your hair without heat. I bet you all thought I happily flaunted those curls.. Wrong!! Lately, it was so hot and humid in Manila that you can't move an arm without sweating like you are in an oven. I opted to tie my hair on the side and and wore a cute hairband from PinkBox to add cuteness to the look.

(on my lips -- nichido lip liner in rosette, Venus and Mars Lip butter in cherry berry as base then I top it off with Venus and Mars Lip Butter in pink posies.. Nice noh?? <3)

This hair elastics are very nice.. My curly hair did not even get tangled when I used this.

The cute hairband from PinkBox which I got from their recent PinkBox event.

I added a bit of twist to the side ponytail. Tie your hair on the side and make an opening on your hair just above the elastic then tuck your hair in it. Then your side ponytail will look this afterwards:

Better than the simple tied hairstyle right?

This look is really simple and quick to do.. If you have waves or curly hair, this hairstyle will definitely suit you. :D

How To: No Heat Big Bouncy Curls like Zooey Deschanel (New Girl Inspired Hair)

Hi everyone!! Have you seen Zooey in her latest tv series, New Girl? Are loving those big bouncy curls? Well, I am. A lot!!! I wanted to have bangs because of her but I am afraid I might get rashes and pimples on my forehead and nose bridge since my skin gets easily irritated. I want to have curls like hers but I am not really good in using iron curlers at all. I have the Conair 1 and half inch barrel which I do not even know how to use. My hair looks a mess when I use it. Hence, more practice pa noh? I am really amazed with people who can curl their hair using a flat iron. I have tried that before but my hair won't cooperate. I end up ironing it straight instead!! Hmpf!

So if you are like me who sucks at curling their hair with these electronic tools, here is a
not-so-new trick that I want to share with you. This is very easy and all you need:

Hair elastics
Do not attempt to use rubber bands on your hair because they will surely be knotted like crazy.

First, make sure your hair is damp with water. I applied two drops of shine serum (only two drops because your hair might get oily). Then you lather your favorite hair mousse or setting lotion on your damp hair.

Section your hair. The bigger the sections the bigger the curls and the smaller the section the smaller your curls are. I parted my hair into 5 sections since my hair is really thick. Start twisting your hair and create tiny buns like this:

Then let your hair dry. I had mine dried overnight. Yep, I slept with those tiny buns that is why I use hair elastics and not pins so as not to pierce my scalp. I sprayed a bit more water on those small buns.

Then, the next morning I looked at myself in bewilderment! Everyone in my house was laughing at me.

Slowly remove the elastics. Look at those big curls, baby!
Apply 2 drops of hair serum again and run your fingers through hair. This will help loosen the curls.

Wait for a few minutes and the curls will loosen by itself.

It turned to this.. :D

Apply your hair spray if you like but I did not sprayed on my curls since I want them bouncy and flirty.

The curls lasted a very long time on about half day. At the end of the day, you will have waves which is looks more natural. My hair does not usually cooperate when styled and I am very impressed with this method.

Nichido Mineral Kohl Pencil in Onyx

The first makeup product that made me realized the wonders of makeup was a black eyeliner. I specifically remember that whenever I was chosen as a flower girl for a wedding or would join a school program, I would always look forward to that black eyeliner. I really saw a huge difference with or without a black eyeliner on. I would tolerate all the tingling sensation when the makeup artist would line my waterline. I was like 5 then. I learned to endure all the pain and prevented my eyes from watering because I knew it was worth it (I was that keen on looking good at such young age.. arte!). The bottom line is if I want to quickly prettify my self, I would definitely reach for a black eyeliner.

I bought this eyeliner because of Say (do you now realize how gullible I am and I get easily lured to buying things I just do not need by just reading blogs and watching youtube? may gad..). Here is a video of Say which got me into buying this liner.

It only came in one shade which is in ONYX (black). It only costs 138 pesos. It glides on very smoothly on my lid and on my waterline. It is also very pigmented. My aunt from France even commented how nice the shade of this liner is. She told me that it looks more opaque than her Christian Dior eyeliner. This eyeliner is made in Czech.

What I love about this eyeliner:

The color is very rich and it gives out a beautiful texture when applied.
It glides very smoothly on my lid and even on the waterline. I can even use this to tightline my eyes. I can also use this to smoke out my lower lashes to achieve a more sultry look.
It is very affordable and locally available too.
It does not sting my eyes. No watery eyes and red sore. This liner is allergy tested.
When applied on the upper lid, the staying power is pretty good. It lasts 3-4 hours. The good thing about this is that you can reapply it over and over again. I use this more often than my gel liner.
Easy to remove with water and soap or makeup remover.
It stays in place especially when applied on the upper lid.
It does not break even if you sharpen it over and over again. I have that annoying problem with my In2it gel liner.

What I do not like about this eyeliner:

It does not lasts long especially when I use this to tightline my eyes. It disappears on my waterline too after 2 hours or so. If you hate reapplying, then this liner is not for you.
It smudges a bit on my outer corner of my eyes. Have you experienced having all of your liner stuck on the outer corner of your eyes like a mole.
It can be easily rubbed off.
I do not really know if this is truly water resistant. I was that it is transfer resistant instead.
It only comes in one shade. I hope they have this in brown too.

I will definitely repurchase one if I ran out. I love eyeliners that glide on smoothly and those which are pigmented even with one swipe.

However, this definitely failed the rub test! Sigh!!

J. Thomas No Tangle Leave in Hair Mist

Hi everyone!! Happy Chinese New year! :D I found this Leave in Hair Mist by chance when I went to Watsons. I was looking for a hair mousse but ended up adding this to my cart. I am really into hair care and styling products lately. Why? Finally, I have a long hair that is not rebonded at all. You know the dilemma of having rebonded hair right? You cannot tie your hair up, curl it or even change your hair color often (tiis ganda moment talaga!). I can now iron my hair all by myself (clap clap naman diyan oh! Yes, it took me years to master this.. Not kidding.. I was too afraid to burn my ears, my fingers, my scalp.. wahh I have too many fears...). I am now almost through with my Pure Beauty Water Essence. I honestly do not know if this product does something remarkable to my hair. I just love the scent and it somehow add moisture to it. When I saw the NO TANGLE sign, I was really giddy. It says mist so I thought it is definitely not a serum (yeavah!). Unlike my Pure Beauty Water Essence, this one is not clear. You can see that if you shake the bottle, it would develop bubbles as seen on the photo below.

I am too lazy to retype the ingredients and how to use it so please refer to the picture.
I have to agree that it is not greasy. I love love the scent. It smells fresh but the scent does not stay all day long. Hmpf. My hair is longer now and I am really not fond of combing and brushing it. hehe I use this after I have dried my hair and I have noticed a difference. My hair is easier is to comb through and brush. Indeed, no tangles at all! It made my hair a bit softer too. My hair is really dry but it does not add shine to it. I still need to apply a hair serum to make my hair look more vibrant. The atomizer is really good. It spreads the product very well on my hair. This only costs 165 pesos. The bottle is smaller than that of Pure Beauty which is in a 200 ml. bottle. Will I buy this again? I am not quite sure. I will probably make my home made hair detangler with the use of water and conditioner! :D

The product is whitish and not a clear fluid compared to the Pure Beauty Water Essence.

The following part of this post consists mostly of photos (my face is all over.. wahh). Those who are sensitive to narcissism,, skip this part.. please! I am planning to color my hair. What do you think?

Maybelline Pure Liquid Mineral Foundation

Hi everyone. If there is one makeup product that lured me into this addiction that would be foundation. In buying foundations, I am very particular with the price. I have this weird belief- the higher it costs - the better it would be. Right? The exception will be my San San Matte Foundation. This Maybelline liquid foundation has been with me for months and I have been reaching for the SanSan Matte Liquid Foundation more than this (because I love foundations with more coverage). Originally , this costs 499 pesos but I bought this less 30% off. Woohoo.. I wanted to get the powder foundation but BF prevented me from doing so. He's been complaining that I got tons of unused makeup and I need not add more junk in my closet. I honestly do not know if I like or hate this foundation. Overall, I honestly think it is very mediocre. Hence, writing this post made me think why did I ever bought this? (thinks.. ) I know now. I wanted a light foundation as an alternate for my Studiofix.

This is dermatologist tested and allergy tested too. I experienced no breakout or rashes in using this. There are three important points that I took into consideration in buying this foundation. It says that:

It gives breathable coverage. It says that it contains micro minerals that won't clog pores.
It hydrates skin since it has moisturizing properties.
It is suitable for sensitive skin. It contains no preservatives (but it contains Parabens and made in China.. hmmm..) and no fragrance.

I can use this everyday because it is lightweight. However, it can make my skin a tad bit oily by mid day but not too much though. It just gives me that dewy glow (please take note that I have dry skin). The good thing is that it did not dry my skin. My skin can breathe underneath this foundation without feeling tight. When I first used this, I was really disappointed. It does not blend well at all and it creates those crazy streaks. It does not blend well with moisturizer. I realized that unlike my other liquid foundation which I apply immediately after applying my moisturizer, this foundation needed a different application because it has hydrating properties already. I now apply this foundation after my moisturizer has dried. It works!! I love using my Lumiere pink stippling brush in applying.

The shade I got is OC3. It has yellow undertones but I still find it light for me. I sometimes mix this foundation with my SanSan Matte foundation in No.3. The texture is a bit runny.

It did a good job of evening out my skin tone but it looks so light one me!! It also covered my pores. The coverage is light but not sheer.

What I like about this foundation:

It is lightweight and I can use this everyday.
This did not caused me any breakouts.
Not funky scent or fragrance.
The pump bottle is very useful. You can control the amount of product very well.
It has SPF18.
I experienced no dry patches or areas when I used this.

What I do not like about this foundation:

The shades are too light for most Pinays.
It can give a slight white cast on photos too.

Over all, this product will suit women/girls who loves light foundation and it has a built in SPF 18 suitable to our weather. Will I buy this again? NO.

Please do not be deceived with my airbrush face here (and do not be angry.. Haters please let me use my camera by using the soft skin feature without fear of retaliation. haha). Thanks to my Sony H70, it has this soft skin feature that made me look poreless. Btw, picnik is closing down soon. This is an online site where I edit my photos because it is very easy to use. Now that it is closing, I really do not know where will I edit now. Does that mean that I must now learn how to use Adobe Photoshop? Wahh... I suck with computer programs. :C

A Touch of Silver Look

I just finished watching Heartstrings (a korean series). This look was originally inspired by Lea Michele's Golden Globes 2012 look. I watch the tutorial of Nic (pixiwoo) but ended up doing my own look instead. I

Here is my own Touch of Silver Look:

I used my Nichido Minerals Eyeliner Kohl in Onyx as a base. I created the winged outline. It makes the application easier and cleaner if you do this.

Blend the eyeliner on your lid.

Apply a dark gray liner. This is actually optional but I love packing shadows on my lid to create a beautiful gradient and texture.

Dust some matte brown eyeshadow on your crease area and darken it with the black eyeshadow. I also applied more black eyeshadow over the wing and outer v for more definition. Highlight the inner corner of your eye with a lighter shade of silver. I also highlight my brow bone using Ellana Mineral Concealer. I think this made my brows look cleaner.

The final look. This is the texture and gradient I am talking about.

I forgot to apply more mascara on my lower lashes! :s I swear this looks more sultry and fiercer in person.

Pinkbox Party

I was so thrilled when Liz of Projectvanity.com invited me to the Pinkbox party. It was held yesterday at Sweet Bella Cafe in The Fort. I came in purple and everyone was in pink! Yay! (you know I cannot wear pink, reds or tangerine for a year.) Anyways, everyone was super nice and friendly. I have finally met new bloggers. It was a super fun event and I was eventually starstruck when I met Martha, Angela of Lushangel, Lissa Kahayon, and Verniece Enciso. I can't stop staring at them!! waahh.. I felt so lesbo because they mesmerized me talaga! haha

Pinkbox is a ten year old retail brand that carries hair accessories for kids. They also have charms and novelty items. The best part is -- they are now selling trendy accessories for women. I have known about Pinkbox for quite some time now. Why? It is because of my younger sister (she is 11,btw). My mom would always buy her clips and ponytail at their stalls/booths.

Meet Nelly See (she is the owner of Pinkbox). I was ogling at her beautiful and stylish necklace. She looks so cool and pretty. I cannot believe that she is an entrepreneur and a mom of 5 kids! WHoa! Now that is really impressive.

I only had a few photos of the event because I was busy chatting with my table mates.

I came from an interview, hence, my outfit for the event. :D I have finally met Bec! It was so fun chatting with her. I was with Kumiko Mae, Jill and Tanya at that particular table (click on their names for their blog link). So the whole conversation revolved around makeup, events and law/legal profession (Hands down to Atty. Jill.. haha and Tanya.. our time will come in God's time.. hehe). I have finally met Kim , Kira and Sara!

Liz was looking fresh in her dainty pink dress.. Siya ang punong abala for the whole event. I forgot to take a picture of me with her again. I am a fan of hers. No joke.

There was a table filled with Pinkbox goodies. When Liz told us that we would have the chance to pick our own accessories - everyone was ransacking the goodies! We came so giddy and happy with PInkbox accessories.

Liz told us that her favorite bangle was from Pinkbox and she also added that it was of very good quality and it did not tarnished at all.

This headpiece looks so posh.

I wanted earrings that I could wear in the office. The hoops earrings was a part of a welcome gift.

I saw someone lifted this necklace up. I was hoping she would not get it. At the instance she laid it down on the table, I snatched it real fast. haha

These hair accessories except for that black elastic are for my sister. :D

The food at Sweet Bella Cafe are all yummy. The place perfect for the Pinkbox Party. When the cab dropped me off at Burgos Circle, I immediately looked for people in pink! haha I was not able to take photos of all the food served because I was busy chatting with the other bloggers. Venus and Mars Lip Butter Tints

Hi everyone!! I have been very busy with job interviews the whole week and of course weekends are spent with my family and BF. I am so excited to blog about my new lip babies with you. You all know that my cool aunt sent me Revlon Lip Butters but I have not received them yet. Last week, I was watching a video of Shen using Venus and Mars products (http://www.shensaddiction.com/) and I instantly fell in love with her lip color. I cannot believe that she just used a lip butter and the pigmentation look so awesome in her video!

I must admit that I am more of a lipstick person because of my dark lips but this lip butter changed my mind. I googled reviews of these new lip butters from Venus and Mars and luckily saw two reviews from Kira of kira-ramirez.com (click here for her review) and Liz of Projectvanity.com (click here for her review). With their good reviews, I knew I must have these lip butters too. I only bought two shades. I really wanted only one color which is Pink Posies but Liz's review about how pretty cherry berry is convinced me to get it. :D

My lip swatches does not do justice to these lip butters. They look more pigmented and prettier in person! They are glossy and made my lips look well moisturized.

Moisturizing! I used this the whole day,yesterday and it did not dry my lips at all.

It has a nice subtle bubblegum scent.
I have dark lips and I can attest that the pigmentation is very nice! I know it cannot mask my dark lip line very well so I have to still use lip liners especially when I use Pink Posies but with Cherry Berry, lip liner is not needed.
The staying power is also good!
It gives my lips a nice stain after eating or drinking. (thumbs up for this!)
It has SPF 15 too!

What I do not like about this lip butter:

Only 4 shades available and I am not sure if Salmon Peach and Wine Pearl would work well on my dark lips that is why I only bought two shades. I hope they will have a coral/orange shade.
It can only be bought online or at bazaars. I am not fairly acquainted if Venus and Mars have stalls in malls.
I hope it has more minty feel.

Over all, I highly recommend these lip butter tints! I am loving them so much.

After 1 Month of Using Sophia

After one month of using Sophia Lash Enhancing Kit

I noticed that my lashes became a bit more noticeable and darker. I also noticed that my lids near my lashes became brownish in color. Hopefully, it will fade after I get my desired length of lashes. There were times that my lid feels itchy after application. I am not religiously applying it nightly since I tend to forget about it. Yay.

My lower lashes became noticeable too.

Heels, Prints and a Failed Makeup Tutorial

I was polishing and cleaning a bunch of shoes in my closet a while ago because I will be hunting for a job. (Finally!! I know my parents are soo happy when I announced this to them. Haha). Oh please someone hire me!! haha These shoes have been there like forever and I have not even used most of them. I am not into heels. Why? because I am very clumsy and I walk like a gangster. In local parlance "siga ako umasta." Yes, I love makeup and I am maarte but that does not mean I am very posh and graceful!! Hell no! How I wish I was noh. I think I have more boyish ways than girlish attitude from eating habits to walking. And you do not want to hear my big deep voice. I sound so gay most of the times. haha I remembered that when I wore my favorite high heels in school before;I fell down from the stairs. Guess who is in the background of that scene (my law school crushie.. Yes I have a crush noh! And I told my boyfriend for 10 years about him.. haha I know I am such a weirdo.. I have the guts to write this on my blog because that guy was so last 2 years ago.. haha ) Anyways, those are my two favorite heels. The Calvin Klein one looks perfect in any outfit. Be it a dress or jeans. My favorite brand of high heels - Naturalizer. I can walk, run and even jump wearing them. hehe They feel so comfortable.

I know animal prints are everywhere. I am loving them too. I never thought I will be into them. I even remember seeing grandmothers wear these kind of prints before. I am now in the process of overhauling my closet. I am incorporating more formal and professional looking clothes!! I feel so old. Waahh. I am having a hard time buying clothes.We are advised by my grandmother that we must not wear clothes with happy shades/colors like red, pink, orange and the like because of my grandfather's death. This will be for one year. I came from an average and very traditional Filipino family and I respect this custom of ours.

I was supposed to do a makeup tutorial blog post about this look. I just added falsies for drama but you can do this look for 5 mins. only I only use one shade of eyeshadow!! This is a very quick and natural look for everyday. I was not very happy with the turn out of the photos. I did this look this evening. Look at my brows looking tacky with foundation. Waah. I need to fix my brows asap. I am having a hard time filling them with brow powder.

Just a quick post to share with you my excitement over these goodies!! I cannot wait to get my Revlon Lip Butters!! The pictures are from my aunt. Another great news is that these lip butters are now available at our local department store priced at around 500 plus pesos!! yay! A bit pricey don't you think? But with all the raves out there for this lip butters, I think they are worth it! I wonder when will this foundation be available locally?

Myra Vita Glow Tinted Moisturizer Review + Giveaway

Hello everyone!! How was your weekend? I hope you had a wonderful time with your family and loved ones and celebrated Sunday with God. I received an email from Ms. Dia weeks ago about these Myra E goodies. I was busy with my grandfather at the hospital and was not able to meet her personally (I asked our driver to pick up these goodies instead). Thank you again Ms. Dia. When our driver handed me the paper bag, I was thrilled to receive a lot of Myra Vita Glow Moisturizer!! I will be sharing these to my Philippine readers!! :)) I have tried this Myra Vita Glow tinted moisturizer a year ago (I think) but I was not able to do a review about it (I do not know why).

This is a very affordable tinted moisturzer. It only costs 135 pesos per tube. It is vitamin E enriched. It has SPF 15 too. It has minerals mainly referring to the tiny shimmers which gives you that glow but I am not a fan of these shimmers. The best thing about it is that it is hypo-allergenic and dermatologist tested. For me, it is now my everyday makeup base. It feels so light on my skin. It does a good job of giving my skin an even finish. The coverage is sheer to light. Thus, do not exepect this to cover your dark circles, sun spots and stubborn blemishes. The consistency and texture is nice. It can be a bit runny but it blends well on my skin.


There are only two shades which is Ivory and Beige.

Ivory is perfect for yellow toned girls while Beige is perfect for those with darker tones.


Ivory/Beige

The first shade I tried was Beige but I find that it a bit dark on my skin. I can actually use Ivory or Beige but I prefer Ivory. As you can see in this picture, the moisturizer changes its color after blending. Here is a quick tip: To know your shade, take a teeny weeny drop and blend it on your jawline then wait for a few seconds for it to dry. You will see that the shade will show better after the moisturizer have already dried on your skin.

What I love about this tinted moisturizer:

Very affordable. It only costs 135 pesos for 35ml tube.
It is perfect for everyday wear. I am not a fan of heavy foundations for everyday wear. You must let your skin breathe (as for me, that is a MUST). I use this as my everyday makeup base.
It has SPF 15. :))
It evens out my skin tone. I apply this in a tapping motion since I discovered that I get more coverage when I apply it that way.
It does not feel sticky on the skin. Perfect for our humid weather.
I did not experience any rashes or break out using this product.

What I do not like about it:

It has tiny shimmers. I am just not a fan of shimmers!
Staying power is not that good. By mid day, my skin looks washed out.
It has only two shades. I know a lot will have a hard time choosing their shade. As for me, I can wear beige or ivory. I prefer to use Ivory since it brightens my face more.

Here is my bare face. I just got out from the shower. I know you miss my fat face flashing on your screen. haha

I applied two layers of tinted moisturizer. Look at how it even out my skin tone. It does not cover my dark circles at all. Thank heavens for concealers. :)) I know my face looks lighter than my neck. After a few minutes, the shade will blend perfectly on my skin.

A closer look on the shimmers. I am not a fan but it somehow made my skin look naturally glowing.

L.A. Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer

Hi guys. Sorry for the lack of updates. I have been very busy with family matters. Family comes first on my list (of course!!). My under eyes went from dark to scary dark after my grandfather passed away. I have been rubbing it like crazy and after the burial, it looked really scary dark. It looks as if I have not been sleeping for days. My aunt told me that she consulted a doctor about her similar dilemma. The under eyes and the lid being the most sensitive part of our skin tends to darken fast especially if you rub it excessively. So here I am in search for a new concealer. My San San concealer looks so light on me that I have to mix it with a darker shade of cream foundation. I am always in a hurry so I have to do away with the mixing part. I have been seeing the Beauty Treats stand in different department store and I saw the brand L.A. Girl always beside it. I really thought that L.A. Girl and L.A. Colors are the same brand. The department store near my place hardly have an SA lurking at the Beauty Treats stand so I have the chance to test their products without an annoying SA following me. HAHA (I hate it when SA follows you and when you need them, they are nowhere to be found. HMPF) I was really amazed when I swatched this concealer. It goes really creamy and opaque! The best part is I got it on sale. I bought this for 254 pesos only!! I have been using this since the day I bought it and I am really liking it a lot.

I was shocked that it has originally 21 shades in their website. At the department store, I only saw 3-4 shades of it. I really hope the distributor would get more shades so that Filipinas would find their perfect shade. I have found my almost perfect shade for my dark circles.

It comes in a squeeze type tube with a brush applicator. I really thought that the brush applicator would be pricking my skin but turned out that it is very soft and gentle. Thumbs up for this one. My physician's formula concealer have the same brush applicator but that one pricks my skin whenever I use it. The brush applicator also have it cons because I have a hard time controlling the amount of product since I could not see the amount that is being squeezed out. What I do is just pinched little by little to get my desired amount. When I did the swatch of this concealer, I squeezed the tube so hard that it let out a great amount of product! What a waste!

The product is really creamy and the pigmentation is really good.

It does a good job of concealing my dark circles!

Here is a closer look on how it concealed my dark under eye:

Staying power is good. I applied it around 4pm and went home at 12 midnight. My foundation have already faded but my under eye looks fairly good. Don't you think? My mascara holds my curl very well noh? Winner!My lashes is still tirik na tirk pa rin.. haha

What I love about this concealer:

Affordable! The original price costs 299 pesos only.
It is long wearing. Lasted for about 8 hours on my under eyes without any primer!!!
It feels light weight.
The pigmentation is very good. It covered my dark circles really well.
It is very easy to blend and use. I apply it in a tapping motion.

What I do not love about it:

I have a hard time controlling the amount of product.
The products tends to get watery. You have to roll the product between your palm like a rolling pin to warm up the product.

Over all, I am really loving this concealer!!! A lot!! If you see the LA Girl stands at department store, try swatching this concealer and you'll probably like the coverage and consistency. This is by far the best liquid concealer I have ever tried. :D

ELF 32 pc. Warm Eyeshadow Palette

Happy New Year everyone!! I will be explaining why am I MIA for days at the end of this post. This is my first post for 2012. Whoa!!! I told you before that I am going crazy over neutral eyeshadows. The fact that weeks from now, I will finally get a job prompted me to buy a more travel friendly palette that will not hurt my budget. ELF saves the day. I have been seeing a lot of palettes being sold at ELF stands. This warm palette caught my attention.

When I asked the SA to open the palette so I could see a better view of the shades included, I was really amazed with the shade selection. You get matte and shimmery shades all in one. There is a mixture of pinks, berries, taupes, browns, highlighters and dark shades perfect for smokey eyes!!! I absolutely love it! The pigmentation is awesome too especially the shimmery ones.

It comes with a mirror and a brush applicator. The packaging is very flimsy though.

Here is a closer look at the shades:

The shimmery ones have very nice and creamy texture. Some matte eyeshadows are very powdery and the color hardly come off when you swatch them. So, you have to double your effort building up the shade.

Over all, this palette is really good!! I really love it and this is better than my 28 neutral palette!! The shades are perfect for everyday wear and also for night outs. This costs only 399 pesos or 5 dollars at ELF website.

Why am I mia for the past days? My grandfather died last Dec. 27, an hour after I finished blogging about my Cream of the Crop post. I still can't believe he is gone. This is my worst fear. I love him so much because I grew up with him. He actually has more pictures in my cellphone and camera than my dad and mom combined. I am tryong my best to carry on with life without him.

Ours for a moment, God's forever. I will miss you lolo. You know how much I love you. :c

Cream of the Crop

I can't believe that 2011 will soon be over. This year was a whirlwind for me. A lot happened to me especially life changing events. This year was mostly fail for makeup buys because I would usually purchase makeup online due to my busy schedule. So here is a list of my best finds this 2011 (I will not elaborate too much on products I have already made a review):

FACE PRODUCTS

San San Matte Liquid Foundation - I am really surprised that this 100 pesos foundation is on this list. I really have sensitive skin and this did not cause me any break out at all. No rashes too. I have using this for almost everyday, the first time I got it. Click here for detailed review.

James Cooper Jazzy Collection Foundation compact - Having medium yellow skin is really hard. I have a hard time choosing foundation and concealer but this product save the day. I would usually purchase concealer that is light than my skin tone. Having three shades in one compact is really good. The medium shade suits my skin very well but I do not use it that much especially the highlighter. The darker shade of the compact is my favorite because it makes my foundation and concealer suits me better. I just blend them (the darker shade and my concealer) together and I instantly get that perfect shade for me. Sadly, this is now phased out.

Ellana Mineral Concealer in Smile - I forgot to include it in this picture. My under eye concealer more often than not rubs off at the end of the day. I seriously think that looking like Wednesday Addams when I was five was so cool but having dark bags at the age of 26 is so not cool!! I look so stressed at the end of the day even if I am not. This concealer saves the day. I primarily use this for touch ups. It can get cakey so I have to exert extra effort in blending. haha

Fanny Serrano 2 way Foundation - I love this foundation and I bought my third compact yesterday. A compact would last around 4 months. No more ghostly white face in pictures!! I really think Fanny Serrano should get an applause for this product especially for the shade selection that perfectly fits Filipina skin. Click here for more information.

Sigma F80 Brush - The best brush I have ever used. Seriosly. The only problem I have now is that whenever I use my other flat top brushes, I think they prick my skin more than ever (or it is all in my head..haha).

EYE PRODUCTS

No palette this time. I just bought the Neutral Palette this year and I am not gaga crazy over it.

Nichido Kohl Pencil in Onyx - This is very pigmented and it applies like a dream even on the waterline. I use this for lining my lid my water line and even for tightlining. A detailed review on this soon.

Etude House Proof 10 Eye Primer - Finally!! This primer is better than all the other primers I have used even the ELF mineral Primer is no match for this one! I will do a review about this soon.

Nichido Minerals Precise Liner - It does not tug, smudge or budge!! The best liquid eyeliner on the local market to date! Click here for review.

Yanqina Mascara and Maybelline Stilleto Mascara - The best mascaras I used this year. Both made my lashes appear fuller and longer! Click here for Yanqina review and here for Maybelline Stilleto Mascare Review.

CHEEK PRODUCTS

Milani Bronzer in Medium - I bought this last November, 2010 but I mostly used it this year. I am quite surprised that I watched two Youtube Gurus raving about this. I love pairing this a light pink lipstick. I aslo use this for contouring. Click here for my bronzer collection post last 2010.

ELF Bronzing Powder in Matte Bronze - The best contour powder and very cheap too. Click here for more information.

Shawill Blush in Natural Beige - Another exception to my list. I am never into shimmery blushes but I love this one a lot. It gives me that natural glow on the cheeks.

SanSan Peach Blush - One word - LOVE!! haha Click here for the detailed review.

Etude House Face Color Corset in No.1 - This is a white shimmery highlighter. I find this perfect for the Holidays. Click here for more information.

Nichido and NYX lip liners - These are my lip savers. They cover my dark outer lip line very well. They are very affordable too. I just hope Nichido will release more shades soon.

Vaseline Lip Therapy in Cherry - I find this better than Carmex! The cherry flavor is not over powering at all. It only costs 75 pesos.

Careline Gloss -If there is the best among the best product of the year, this will take that spot! For 60 pesos, you will get that super opaque and not sticky gloss! Winner! I cannot express how much I love these glosses. Careline, please add more matte shades. Click here and here for the swatches and review. Btw, my favorite shade is in 101.

Skincare Products

Etude House Happy Tea Time Milk Tea - I use this as a makeup remover for my eyes. I had this for months an I just finished half of the product. I bought this as a replacement for my Ponds Cold Cream. However between Ponds and this one, Ponds wins without a doubt.

Eskinol Dermaclear C mixed with Dallacin C - I cannot got out of the house and sleep without cleansing my face with this one. I use this everyday morning and evening. It makes my face super cleans and makeup free. Weird fact about me using this -- unlike other people who use this after washing their face.. I use this before washing my face. This routine worked well for me.

Belo Essentials Face Sunblock - I have no qualms using this everyday. This feels so light on my skin and not greasy at all. I just wish the SPF will be higher like their body sunblock which is I think SPF60.

Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel - I already finished this bottle. I particularly love how refreshing it is on the skin when you apply it and the scents is soo good. Click here for more information.

Mosbeau All in One Facial Cream - It felt like a serum and a moisturizer whenever I use it. It acts as a good makeup base too. Click here for more information.

Hair Products

This is so new to me. I have never been into hair products except this year.

Pure Beauty Treatment Essence Water - This smells so good and adds a bit of moisture on my hair. I use this everyday after every bath especially when my hair is still damp.

Tony Moly Silky Glaze Fruit Hair Spray - This is a very huge bottle for 179 pesos. This is the only hair spray that my nose is not allergic too. The scent is so nice. It hold my hair throughout the day too.

Lory Hair Cream in Duo Chocolate - The scent is very relaxing and this is my favorite among the other variants. It is also more moisturizing compared with the others. I used this as a everyday conditioner .

That's it ! These are the products that I would most likely buy over and over again. I love that my list still budget friendly. hehe

SanSan Cheek Blusher

Good day my beautiful readers!! What a nice day to wake up with all the blessings Our All Mighty has in store for us right? Let's attract all those positive energy,shall we?!! I received my very first blogger kit from HBC!! YAY.. I am so excited because I have been lurking in their shops since I don't know when. It is such a privilege to be part of their exclusive blogger list. However, that does not mean that I will compromise the integrity of my posts for these companies (i just have to be emphatic about this). Anyways, i have thrown away a lot of NYX blushes. They have been with me for like 3 years!!Waahh.. I did not even hit pan on most of them except Taupe. That is why I am so thankful that I received these goodies. I was about to buy ELF studioline blushes but I do not like the color variety that much.

Pink Blush/Mocha Blush
Rosy Blush/Peach Blush

The plastic packaging is really tacky and flimsy. However, I love that you can easily see the shade of the blush because of the clear plastic covering.

I so love the fact that it has a manufacturing date and an expiry date. I would always look for this when I am buying cosmetics and skin care products.

The shades in my opinion are very nice. They are all very wearable.

Mocha Blush

This is a brownish/coppery orange blush. I am not really into this kind of colors because I thought it would look muddy on me but it works well on my skin. I will definitely use it as a bronzer paired with a pink lipstick. This is my least favorite among the shades. The shimmers are not very noticeable but it give my skin a soft sheen.

Rosy Blush
This is a beautiful coral shade. I love the color. It reminds me of the blush in teh ELF studioline Blush and Bronzer compact. This has tiny gold shimmer which is hardly seen when you wear the blush. I am not into shimmers but how I wish the gold specks are more conspicuous to add more glow to this blush.

Peach Blush
This is my most favorite among the four. This is a matte true peach blush. NO hints of pink at all. I remembered buying Careline Blush in Peach and it hardly shows on my skin. This blush is so beautiful on my NC35 skin (medium yellow toned skin). I actually felt pretty wearing this yesterday. Some peach/orange looks fake on my yellow skin but this gives me a beautiful flush. I am so in love with blush because it's matte and very buildable.

Pink Blush
This reminds me a lot of NYX Angel Blush but this is more pigmented and with less shimmer. This is a neutral baby pink. I was afraid that it won't show up on my skin but fortunately, it did! haha..

Swatches

The peach blush is so beautiful noh? The shade stands out among the 4 blushes. These blushes are a bit powdery except for the Mocha Blush which I think is very soft. However, they blend beautifully on my skin. I hate blushes that just sit on my cheeks making me look like a clown. I would give San San Blushes an -A for this.

Do not attempt to use this brush. This sheds like crazy and it really pierces my cheek when I used it. I hope they just do away with the brush and add more product instead or a mirror in replacement.

What I love about these Blushes:

The shades are really nice and perfect for everyday wear.
They pigmentation is good NOT great.
It may appear sheer upon your first application but the shade is very buildable.
Very affordable for 100 pesos!

What I do not like about these Blushes:

The packaging is very flimsy.
The brush is not useful at all.
The blushes are powdery except for the mocha blush.

They also sent me this brochure showing their best buys of the year!

I can't stop ogling on them.

I want to back and get goodies especially their body scrub and whitening solutions and soap!!

I want these too... waahhh i never knew they sell hair mousse.

How come I do not see these in their store everytime I visit?
I want these eyeshadows too.. haha

Hi everyone. How are you spending the Holidays and Christmas vacation? My grandfather is still in the ICU but he is getting better. Thank you Lord. I received a package from Mosbeau five months ago. That time, I was reviewing for the bar exams. I waited for my exams to be over so that I can try this product. I have been using Mosbeau products for three weeks now. I wanted to use it first for more than a week to see the results and effects on my skin. This is not the ordinary cream as I have expected but a gel type facial cream. It reminds me of my Neutrogena Hydroboost Gel but this one has a different feel to it. This is light on the skin. No greasy feel, however, unlike my Neutrogena Hydroboost Gel, this does not dry quickly. It feels as if I applied an essence or serum on my face and I can actually feel the slowly seeping through my skin. Usually by this time of the year, my face would get so dry and scaly but my face feels softer and supple.

What I love about it:

It acts as an all in one facial cream - an anti aging serum, moisturizer and skin whitening cream. Because of this, you can skip a lot of steps on your beauty regimen.
It hydrates my face and keeps my face very soft and supple.
It actually gave my skin a glow - made it more healthier and somehow improved my face complexion (not too much though but I can see the difference)
It does not make my skin oily or greasy and it is a good makeup base. I can instantly use my powder or powder foundation without the fear of dry patches on my skin.
It did not break me out. No rashes at all.

What I do not like about it:

Pricey!! It costs 1,480 pesos. I suggest you but the set with soap to save 200 pesos.

It has that distinct scent like plastic or something. I wished they added a subtle scent to it.

It says it has UV protection but it does not say how much SPf it has (are these two different?? I actually do not know!!haha). Hence, I still use my Belo Facial sunblock.

A tip from MLI: Try spraying your facial mist before applying this cream (this will reduce the use of this cream, just a two pea sized amount will do). This will also help your skin absorb more moisture.

Long Lasting Red Lips this Holiday Season

This holiday season, how do you get that much coveted bold red lips? Almost all my favorite youtube gurus are making their Holiday tutorial with red lips!! yay!! I have never dared to wear red lipstick when going out since I felt like a whore wearing one. haha I just envy those girls who can pull off red lips with such a breeze. This time, I am braver to wear one on a Christmas Party. My ultimate problem -- How to make it last. Surely, parties would entail a lot of eating and drinking. Going to the washroom for touch ups every now and then is a big distraction (at least for me). Here is a simple tip on how I make my red lips lasts longer:

First: Make sure that your lips are well moisturized. I used my Vaseline Lip Therapy in cherry.

Then, coat your lips with red lip tint. I use my Tony Moly Lip and Cheek tint in Red Apple. This is the trick to make the color lasts longer on your lips. This is your base color. The lipstick may fade when you eat and drink but the red tint will not fade easily. It also prevents the lipstick from getting to your teeth since you will use less lipstick .

Define your lips with a red lip liner. I am using the Nichido Lip Liner in Blaze.

Apply your red lipstick. I used my Nyx ELECTRA. You may use red tint and a lip liner alone but I applied red lipstick to accentuate the color more.

28 Neutral Palette

Hi guys.. I bought this palette months ago and this was the only time I have the time to use it. I was looking for a nice neutral palette. I cannot believe that I am into neutrals. Honestly, I want more neutral palettes. I saw this palette being used by Misschievous and other Youtube gurus years ago. Back then, I loathed neutral palettes. I was never into neutrals because I love colors. It was just recently that I realized that you could create and recreate many looks even with neutral palettes.

This has been my go to palette. This has a mixture matte and shimmery finishes. The shimmery ones are very pigmented and intensely vibrant while the matte ones are powdery and some shades do not show up very well. Some shades almost look alike. I hate the fact that it has only one brown shade. I was hoping to see a variety of browns and taupes.

I bought this palette on ebay. I am really impressed with how the seller wrapped my palette. It was wrapped securely like 2 or 3 bubble wraps with a carton. Compared with other online shops, her palettes cost less!! I was very thrilled to find her shop. Her palette costs 100 -150 pesos less than what other online shops sell!!! :D only bought this for 650 pesos exclusive of shipping fee. I am not in anyway affiliated to pupay's corner. :D

Do you still believe in miracles?

Last Monday, my grandfather suffered from heart attack. We are all in shock. He was very healthy. The only illness he suffers from is rheumatism. He is already 85 years old but seeing him suffer all these things is very painful for me. I can shout to the whole world that I was his favorite grand child. I grew up with him. I love him so much. Oftentimes, I would have these nightmares of losing him. I would wake up with tears in my eyes and with big sigh of relief I will be glad it was all a nightmare. This is my greatest fear and it did happen. He already lost his pulse yesterday at the ER. We thought he was really gone. It was the worst moment of my life. I can't even believe this is happening. I saw him being revived. I was beside him. It was a miracle. Our God is one faithful God. I can hear my voice echoing throughout the ER... "lolo, not now please." He is now in the ICU. Better than yesterday. God is so good. I know this sounds cliche but tell your loved ones you love him/her before its too late. We were given by the Almighty another chance. This was such a wonderful blessing. I hope everything will be fine the coming days.

Budget Find: Landmark Brushes Haul

Hi everyone! I went to Landmark, Trinoma yesterday.I have been aching to go there since I have learned that they are selling these cheap and affordable brushes. If you are like me who does not like brush sets, I suggest you check their brushes out. I was expecting to find kabuki brushes but there was none at all.. :C I saw a lot of brush holders though!!

I bought this faux leather one. Very posh noh? Only 139 pesos!! This is my fave buy of all. They sell different sizes and they also sell a larger brush holder for 299 pesos.

So here is a quick rundown on the brushes that I bought, I have not actually use them at all.

Sigma Brushes look alike. Teehee. They just look like Sigma brushes but the quality are far fetched from those of Sigma's. Each costs 139.75 pesos.

See how flimsy the flat top is? I already washed it and it sheds a bit. It is soft but not as soft like that of Sigma or Charm flat top brush. It is very evident that the bristles are synthetic and with a plastic sheen on it.

If I am not that impressed with the F80 brush look alike. I love this angled brush. This is denser and it is also soft. I finally have an alternate brush for my Marrionaud N32 brush that I always bring for blush touch ups.

I have been dying to get a fan brush. The problem,, I do not know how to use this. HAHA This costs 154.75 pesos. Not bad right? The bristles are just ok and soft.

This is a nice and thin angled brush. It costs 39.75 pesos.

This is a long handled flat shader brush for 119.00 pesos.

I also bought tiny version of the shader brush for 89.75 pesos.

BTW, I can put two eye brushes on a single pocket. :D

Have you seen these brushes from landmark? Share your thoughts on them.. I just hope they have more eye brushes (like the bullet and crease brushes) and kabuki brushes too.

Sophie Martin J'adore Lipstick

Hi guys!! Last last month, I overhauled my makeup stash. I threw away blushes and lipsticks because they have been with me for like 3 years. Some of the stuff that got thrashed was a bunch of my NYX lipsticks. Imagine, some of these lipsticks are barely used because I just swatched them. I thought of giving them away or like sellling them at Ebay but hey!! they are like 2-3 years old. YAY!! I even told my long time friend that I wanted to gave her these lipsticks but they are too old. The reason why I never used the NYX round lipsticks (as much as I want to) is because they smear like crazy on my teeth. They are so creamy that get everywhere on my lips and my face. It was so messy using them for me. Plus, I am so bothered with the soapy scent. I was horrified (haha) that there are only few lipsticks left on my stash and mostly pink and red!! yay. Then I read Maggie's blog about her Sophie Martin Lipsticks, she featured these cute and dainty shades and it only costs 79 pesos!! Visit her blog here. Thankfully, I found a supplier and I bought 6 shades. However, Ice Pink is not available. SAD!! This color is their best seller. It is a bright barbie pink!!

Here are the lip swatches (no lip concealer or lip liner is used in these swatches):

Mango Peach
This is a light peachy shade.

Caramel Sugar
This is a beautiful nude pink but the shade will not definitely wash you out.

Cotton Peach
A gorgeous pinky coral shade

Velvet Nude
A mixture of peach and brown

Summer Pink
The shade reminds me a lot of NYX Tea Rose but this is more on the pink side.

Over all, the shades are really nice. I love all the shades. For the color selection, I will definitely give them an A+! They are all wearable and they compliment my medium skin tone. When I first use these lipsticks, the color hardly come off as I glide them on my lips. You have to warm up the product first. The texture is not as creamy as NYX. Just two more notches of creaminess and the texture will be really good. I like to use them over my lip concealer. They appear better on top of a lip concealer. They do not have that ugly lipstick smell (YEY!). Like my NYX lipsticks, these can be so drying on the lips. You have to moisturize really well and a good lipbalm will be needed. This lasts on me for 3 hours and I have to retouch again. I just love that they are not overtly creamy like the NYX ones, so no more lipstick on my teeth!! The pigmentation is okay. I have to swipe two - three times to get the color to fully show on my lips.

I wanted to show the shades more so I swatched them on my arm and on a white paper.

Introducing the Sophia Eyelash Enhancing Kit.. Yey.. I am dying to try this lash enhancing kit ever since my sorority sister told me about her latest discovery months ago. The Sophia Eyelash ENhancing Kit is being distributed by AltheaMed Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (owned by my beautiful sorority sister of course). These company distributes lenses for glaucoma and other eye medication treatment so when I heard that they are introducing these into the market, I was super excited. This only costs 1,600 pesos. For the record, I bought this from her. This is not a sponsored at all. This is made from all natural botanicals. I told her if this works for me as well as it worked for her, I will be a distributor. :D I went to her beautiful office yesterday and she shared with me a lot of things about the product. She told me that she used lash enhancer from Belo and even Flawless before and it did not worked for her. This is the only one that worked wonders for her lashes that is why she brought it here in the Philippines.
Ok. That's it. I am sold!!haha

The kit comes with the Sophia Lash Enhancer, a complimentary eye solution so as to prevent redness or itchiness in case you'll develop adverse reactions. I will explain this further later. It also comes with a brush. She told me that when this comes out in the market they may not include the eye drops anymore.

The manual is very useful because it is very informative. All my questions were answered like who can use it, is it safe for the eyes and other stuff. This is made in India. The trademark Sophia is now being registered at the IPO and the BFAD already went to their company for inspection purposes. I can't wait for this product to be out in the market.

The bottle is small but do not get your hopes low. It could last for two months.

How to use it:

You should use it with a clean face. NO MAKEUP AND OTHER IMPURITIES. You pour one drop on the cap of the SOphia bottle and dip the brush. Using the brush provided, it is the same process like putting eyeliner on your lid but this time more closer. You could apply it repeatedly apply the solution until it is gone. You must blot out the excess to prevent unwanted hair growth on other areas.

What are the possible side effects:

Eyelid pigmentation - I asked my sis if your whole lid will turn brown, she told me only the area nearest to your eyelashes, so imagine yourself with natural looking brown liner. One good thing about this is that this side effect is reversible upon discontinuing the use of Sophia.

Hair Growth Outside the Treatment Area - That is why you have to blot out the excess.

You can also experience inflammation, eye redness and itching.

I also used it last night. My eyelid was a bit itching but not too much. I was expecting my eyes to get swolled and all the worst effects that I could imagine but nothing of that sort happened. haha

More of Sophia soon. I will be blogging about it after a month or so. I am crossing my fingers that this will work for me.

Ever Bilena Blush in Tan

It is the stall most of you just pass by when you go to the department store. Ever Bilena, Nichido and Careline.. Who would love these makeup if you can buy Nars and MAC in a jiffy. I never thought being jobless and bum (since I plan to get a job on January.. oh please spare me this holiday season.. I just need a good break. :D) could lead me to enjoy more of Filipino made Makeup products. They are really cheap and affordable. I was hella scared trying blushes and foundations from these makeup brands because I broke out from Ever Bilena Foundation always. It never fails. Thus, such incident created this stigma that I need to stay away from their face products. Their lip and eye makeup are good enough for the price you pay. I was the usual bum surfing the net when I chance upon dazzler's review on this blush. Here is her link. I am looking for a nice coral/peachy shimmery blush for the holidays. I told you I am loving shimmers lately. I was also thinking of getting Sleek Powder Blush in Rose Gold because of the gold sheen effect of it. What do you think? Anyways, my all time favorite pink blush is from Ever Bilena too. The shade is Pink Petal. Click here for more information. So, I thought that this blush is also worth a try since I did not break out from their blush.

If I saw this blush on stand, I would not dare swatch it at all. It looks so light it's as if it would not show up on my medium yellow toned skin. However, when I saw Dazzler's review, I just can't wait to get one for myself. I asked my mom to get one for me that same day when I read the review. HAHA When I got it, I tested it outright. OMG!! It's one of the most beautiful blush for me. This is not exaggeration. LOL I was really looking for this shade. I was thinking of getting the ELF studioline blush in Candid Coral because of Judy. Check out her video to see how gorgeous her cheeks look with the ELF blush.

However, when I went to the ELF counter to swatch the candid coral, the color does not show really well on me. :C

One swipe. The shade is a beautiful coral on a peachier note. It has a subtle shimmer and gives my skin that much coveted glow!! I seriously love it.

The shade is very buildable too. I love it!!!! For 110 pesos, it is a very FAB FIND!

Arabian Nights: ES Application Using the Foiling Method

Hi guys. I was playing with makeup a little while ago and I have decided to do a post about it. I really miss doing FOTDs and I even thought of doing a video. YAY! I did the foiling method with the gold eyeshadow. I never knew that you could stipple metallic shadows over matte ones before. I swear this looks better in person. You could just see gold flecks on top the violet eyeshadow. The shades are very festive in my opinion. Perfect for the holidays. Minus the exaggerated winged liner, I think I can pull this off at Christmas parties. What do you think?? I think that you should play with colors especially that it's Christmas. However, I am loving the neutral eyes paired with bold lips this cold season more.

Wing it like you mean it!! I got carried away with lining my eyes.. haha

I am loving my ELF Bronzer in Matte Bronze for contouring. It looks natural noh?? You just have to blend away!!wahaha Excuse my violet lips. I told you I was playing with makeup. I lined my lips with the Nichido Minerals Kohl Pencil in Onyx and applied my Barry M Shocking Pink -- the results? TADA -- violet lips. :D

My Diet Diary: A Prelude to a New ME

The bar exams did not only cause me emotional and mental torture. It also made me heavier. It was on my second month of review that I have decided to let go of my weight. I am the usual 108-110 lbs. but I cannot study without eating more than I used to. I ate a lot during that 6 months. I just literally binge on anything. I ate 5 times a day at least. I ate breakfast at 5 am then I get hungry around 9am, lunch by 11 or 12noon, then I ate meryenda at around 4pm then dinner. Sometimes, I even eat after dinner. My brain just do not work without food. I know it was an excuse but I cannot sacrifice my exams. I just can't. I usually eat rice even during meryenda. Yes. I love rice to the nth level. I can eat rice with ketchup alone. Disgusting? I love it!!! haha The results - I gained 10 lbs. The worst part? I think all the fats went to my tummy because I sit for hours when studying. My grandmother asked me once, "are you pregnant?" My reaction was a mixture of bewilderment and sadness. I know you all think that I am not fat at 120.1 lbs but my tummy is ust too distracting. It is very evident on the pictures right?

I cannot wear anything now. I just can't go out because my pants can't fit me anymore. I have to squeeze myself into them. Thank goodness my boyfriend loves me for who I am because I just felt so ugly during my review. I am determined to lose weight as I was determined to gain it during the review months. I can do this. My eating habits are really bad. I love eating carbs and sweets. A little veggies will do for me. I love stuffing my tummy with junk foods, chocolates and soda. I also blame my addiction for milk tea for my weight gain. I can drink two large milk teas in a day with extra sugar please. wahh.. I love chatime, serenitea, moonleaf, teatap cafe and happy lemon.

I started my diet last week. I have a fast metabolism. Thank you, Lord. I steered away from rice and ate more healthy foods. I also ran on the thread mill for 15 mins. then day after day I add more minutes. Now I can do 30 mins. with some 1-3minutes breaks in between. No iced tea or soda for me. Just water ,fresh juice,and green tea. From 120.1 lbs, I am now 116.8 lbs but my tummy looks like that of Mr. Bogus so I need to exercise more. I already prepared an exercise routine.. :D yey. I want to live healthy. I want to be fit and feel beautiful inside out. I posted these pictures to challenge myself that I can achieve the weight and body I want. It will take me a lot of hardwork and I just need loads of motivation to do this.

My boyfriend gave me this as a post birthday gift. He asked me what do I want for my birthday and I want a running/ workout shoes. And his initial reaction was, "Is that for real? not makeup??". haha I just have to get hot pink because pink is my favorite color.

I also bought a yoga mat. Is it usually worth 500 pesos?? I find this too pricey. tsk.

This is me 2 years ago. My body is still proportioned then. haha.. I am far from being sexy but I feel good with my size before. I am 5'2 in height. My ideal body weight is 105 lbs. I will achieve it. I must.

I was never into shimmery blushes and lipsticks. I always feel that shimmery blushes would enlarge my pores and make it more conspicuous than usual. I would always opt for the matte or satin finish blushes. However, since I am loving the Korean makeup look, I am so drawn to their glowing skin. Their secret? Highlighters!!! Wahh.. I am so in love with this picture of Dara Park of 2ne1.

I just can't stop staring. Her skin looks sooooo amazing. When I saw this ad at Etude House counters, I knew I have to get a highlighter. I have a highlighter which looks very natural on me. Click here for more info. I wanted something more striking but not too garish on my medium skin tone. I am very curious with white highlighters but I was really afraid that it would look so off on my medium skin. I asked my beloved DUX/Sorority Sister/Atty. Anna to buy me some makeup at Etude House when she went to Korea. The prices are lower compared here in the local market. I got one of their Face Color Corset.

I love Etude's packaging. They always look so cute. On the pan it looks a light pinkish shade.

The product is not hard to pick up and not too powdery.

When swatched, it gives my skin a beautiful white sheen. It is really nice because it blends well on my skin. I tried it to highlight my nose bridge (kahit pango ako, may konting nose bridge pa rin noh!!haha). It looks natural when applied sparingly. Make sure you blend the product very well on your skin. This costs around 170 pesos in Korea. I think this is around 250 here in the Philippines.

Budget Find: Matte Bronzer from ELF

I have finally found a cheap matte bronzer. I have been in search for a cheap matte bronzer for the longest time. I have even tried using brow powders and eye shadow for contouring. I have tried using darker shades of powders (which is a good idea.. my first contour powder was the darkest elf pressed powder). Looking for a bronzer is really hard for me since those with reddish or orange hints look so fake on my skin. I want that pure brown shade. I was excited when I saw this at ebay. I immediately googled about it and I know I just have to get my hands on this one.

The shade looks scary muddy brown, perfect from medium skin tones (in my opinion). It has tiny gold flecks which is not visible when you apply the powder.

I use this shade for contouring!! I am so thrilled to find this. I looks so natural on me. It just creates that shadow and depth on my skin without looking too fake. I do not use this as a bronzer because it is really dark on me. Over all, I love love love this powder. It only costs 125 pesos (exlusive of shipping). I hope ELF stands in local malls will have this soon.

I can't get enough of them. How I wished I watched this show live. I MUST lose weight not to the point of being skin and bone. Just lose the excess fat I gained from my review (excess fat ba ang 10 pounds? haha). I am so inspired that it makes me wanna run on the threadmill all day. Adam Levine is so hot.. wahhh.. The scene where he kissed Anne V was so epic. It really deserves a slow motion. haha

I find this ad sexier. I love women in suits. You do not have to bare skin to look HOT!

You all know how I love watching Filipina makeup gurus on youtube. I just simply love them especially when they do haul videos because the products they are ranting or raving are readily available here in the Philippines. Whenever I watch haul videos of Jarmaine or That's Heart, I can just say.. How I wish those are available here. One makeup product that I am currently craving for is the Revlon Lip Butters.. I so want one (honestly, all the shades.. :D). Moving on, I was watching MaricarlJanah doing her Sansan Haul. I have the sansan concealer which she loves and I am using it everyday. Then she mentioned this foundation, I got so curious (AGAIN!?!?!). I got myself one.

She looks so gorgeous in this video.

The foundation has a spatula. I think this is really helpful if the bottle does not come with a pump.

I was really amazed with the consistency and coverage. I is very blendable. It goes on smoothly on my face. I never expected that a local brand can come up with such foundation. The coverage is medium-slightly heavy and very buildable. Why I did get the two shades? Simple. Again, I cannot find my exact shade. No. 3 looks dark and very beige-ish brown on my skin. Then, I grabbed another bottle in shade NO. 2. I thought that it was in yellow tone but it is more of pinkish and beige-ish in color.

I cannot imagine I am comparing San San with my Mac Studio Fix. The consistency is almost the same. Can you see how thick the san san is? However, Mac studiofix dries faster. Both lasts long on my skin. I tried the SanSan foundation on a hot and humid weather and amazingly it stayed on my skin. Take not that I have normal to dry skin. I was expecting to look like a greaseball by mid day but my face just looked dewy. I do not know if the effect will be the same to other people especially those with oily skin.

I love MAC NC35. This is the perfect shade for me. It blends so well with my skin tone.

Hello bare face! I am really comfortable with my bare face. I can go out my house with it. I just hate my dark bags. Can you see? Arghhh!!

On my skin is the San San foundation. Can you see how it cover my spider veins and pores? Nice noh? You have to blend well to prevent crazy streaks on your skin. I have yet to try applying it with my stippling brush.

With Fanny Serrano Powder Foundation in Chino.
My face looks so even and smooth (EHEM...thanks to foundation. To whoever invented foundation, cheers! ).

What I like about this foundation?
Affordable. I got it on sale for 100 pesos!!
It did not cause me any zit or rashes. I use it more often than my Maybelline Pure Minerals Liquid Foundation (this is my to-go-foundation before if I want a bit more coverage.. but the coverage is really light for my liking). I was actually afraid to try this since because my skin usually breaks out with local foundations specifically Ever Bilena.
The coverage is so good. I can say that I will give it a 5/5 ranking.
It applies so smoothly and evens out my skin so well. I like the spatula that comes with it. I do not have to dig inside the bottle using my finger or pour the product. Applying this foundation is mess free thanks to the spatula. haha
It has this sweet mocha scent. Call it weird, I do not care but I am definitely loving it. :D

What I do not like about this foundation?
The shade selection is really poor. I do not know what is wrong with Filipino makeup companies why can't they get the right shade for Filipina (Except for Fanny Serrano.. Kudos to your foundations that suits Filipina skin very well. I think). Do I have to reiterate that WE ARE YOUR MARKET. I have a normal skin shade like most Filipina. I am not morena nor fair. I have a medium yellow skin tone and I just can't find my shade. That is just freaking crazy. I do not know who they test on to arrive at these shades. All I know is.. it is an absolute FAIL! I should be giving this foundation an HG status material were it not for the limited shades. Also, if the weather is too humid, it makes my skin a bit oily too but since I have dry skin this is not a very big deal for me.

Over all, this foundation is really good. Among the local brands that sells liquid foundation, I can say this is on top of the line. I just want to say that if this foundation worked for me it does not mean it will for you.
As the Latin phrase goes..
Caveat emptor, in other words, let the buyer beware.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Antwerp

I am finally reviewing the infamous soft matte lip cream of NYX. A lot of people are raving about it. I got really curious. I tried Antwerp because I was in my quest for a nice peachy pink shade (but more on the peach side). I bought this for 270 pesos from Starmaine Shop. I was very excited to try it (as in ibang level ang excitement ko!). When I finally get to try it on my lips, my instant reaction was - WTH!?!!?! hahaha Yup! My reaction was like that! I was expecting too much from this product. Oh the agony of immersing yourself on a makeup hype that did not reach your expectation!!!! Sigh!

The brush applicator is the ordinary doe foot applicator. It is bigger than my ELF lip stain.

The shade is so gorgeous. I can attest that it made me look so fresh and innocent(may ganitong impact siya! haha) when I wore this. My boyfriend for ten years (why can't i hear wedding bells when i say this? oh no proposal yet.. that's why.. haha) told me that my lipstick suits me very well. He hates to see me with makeup on! I rarely wear makeup when I am with him. A blush and a lipstick for him is too much! HE told me that this lipstick looks so natural on me. Indeed, the shade Antwerp is really lovely in my opinion too.

Whenever I apply it, it creates those crazy streaks. It can easily be removed when the product has not yet dried on your lips. Unlike my ELF lipstain, this lip creme takes forever to dry. After drying, the product stays on your lip unless you'll eat. It will definitely wear off upon finishing a meal or a snack. It is not that long lasting as my ELF studio lip stain in my opinion. However, it applies smoothly on the lips and there is no sticky feel on the lips.

I need to apply two to three coats of the product to get this look. It is not too drying compared to ELF lip stain.

Over all, I really think that it depends on the shade you are buying. Antwerp is really sheer on my dark and pigmented lips. If I bought Addis Abba or Sau Paulo, probably my review would have been a bit different.Also, I was expecting a lot from this product. I really thought that it would exceed my fondness for my ELF Fashionista lip stain since the blogging world is raving about this. I felt bewildered because I was the only one
(Am I the only one?? speak up people!!! haha) who did not like this product. I have to test the other shades. The other colors might change my mind, don't you think? I am really into pigmentation and lasting effect and in both cases, this product failed my standards.

Hi everyone. I am sorry I am bombarding you with two posts within day. Being a bum is hard for me.. hahaha I received a message months ago from Jessica of the Sigma Beauty Affiliate Program asking me to join their program! I was freaking happy when they emailed me. I have heard of their program before and I was saddened by the fact that you had to have 1000 something followers to qualify for their program. Luckily, I was contacted by them even though I do not have 1000 followers yet. Thank you so much Sigma!! 1 year ago, I was drooling over their brushes and I never imagined that I would own one before I even have a job. haha They have really fast shipping. This brush arrived only after a week and straightly delivered to my doorstep. Actually, I was about to buy another ELF powder brush because my ELF powder brush looks so old and my charm brush handle broke. Sad!!!! I love the Charm Flat Top brush so much. I think the heavens heard my dilemma and sent Sigma to the rescue.

The handle is so sturdy and posh looking.

The bristles are so soft. I use it to buff powder around my eyes without fear of being pricked.

This is the softest brush I have ever tried. Swear! (I could say ang soft, ang dulas.. referring to the bristles..haha) The brush is really dense and firm. You need less effort in buffing makeup products on your face.

I was kinda surprise when I received this brush.
The brush head is smaller than my ELF Powder Brush and Charm Flat Top Brush.

If there is one brush every makeup enthusiast must have, that would be a good and soft flat top brush.A flat top brush can do a lot of things from foundation application to contouring. You can use it with powdered makeup and even liquid ones.

If you want me to do a comparative review of the three brushes just let me know. :D

The Sigma F80 brush is the softest brush I have ever tried. I am not telling this because they gave it to me for free but it is just the truth! haha The softness of the bristles makes it very easy to work with. It applies liquid and powdered makeup like a dream. It leaves my skin with an even and smooth finish. I mainly use this for my foundation routine. I reached this more now than my other two flat top brushes. It did not bleed nor lost a fiber when I washed it. I also use this in applying liquid foundation. It gives my skin flawless finish. The brush head, although smaller compared with my other flat top brushes, makes it perfect for contouring! I do not use this in applying blush because I prefer an angled brush. I sweep my blush onto my skin not buff it like crazy. This costs 16$.

NYX Slim Lip Pencil in Nude Pink and Hot Pink

If there's one makeup product I can't live without, that would definitely be a lip liner. I have been using Nichido Lipliner in rosette for year. I find the shade very versatile. Here is a complete review here. Then I recently discoverd NYX Slim Lip Pencil. They have tons of shades to choose from compared to the limited range of Nichido's shades. I got these from Starmaine Shop. Click here for the right ulr of their shop. There are some faking her shop for fraudulent purposes. YAY! I got the hot pink liner for review and I bought nude pink lipstick for 150 pesos or 100 pesos. SOrry, I cannot remember.

The lip liner is very creamy. The pigmentation is really good.

My dark lips. Wahh...

Hot Pink
This has a bluish undertone to it. It really looks bright. Perfect when I paired it my Barry M shocking Pink and Lime Crime's Centrifuchsia.

Nude Pink
I can finally wear lighter shades of lipstick because of this lip liner.

What I like about it?

Very pigmented
Affordable
It has a wide range of shades to choose from.
Creamy
What I do not like about it?
Not locally available. You have to go through the tedious process of paying shipping costs and depositing payments because its only available online.

Look how pigmented they are. They can pass off as a lipstick but it would be very drying on the lips. Btw, I just woke up when I took this pictures..haha

Physician's Formula Mineral Face Powder (Talc Free)

It's my first time to try a mineral makeup in a compact form. Honestly, I am not into mineral makeup at all. When all people are ordering mineral makeup samples some two or three years ago, I was in search for traditional makeup that will suit my skin. Why? Using mineral makeup is a lot of work. Buffing here and there. It was so messy for me. I was never into the mineral trend at all. I do not entirely believe blog reviews about minerla makeup at all unless I tried the product or have seen the product itself. For instance, there is this nice mineral primer that I was excited to try because someone blogged about it. She said that it was really good. When I went to their stall, WAHHHH!! The worst product ever! hahaha True enough, the mineral craze is a goner before I knew it. I am not that type of person who will buy makeup that's in (or the latest innovation chuva?!). I have read tons of review about this mineral makeup and all but I was not impressed not at all. I was really happy when Tameraonline contacted me months ago. They asked me to reviews Physician's Formula products and I chose to review their Talc Free Pressed Powder. Why did I chose this? Simple, it is in a compact form. HAHA I also love the details on the powder. It resembles the shell of a dinosaur egg (uhmmm.. that's what I saw in the movies and books!haha).

The packaging has small openings to let the brush breathe. Is that the real purpose
Or for the residue to fall off the brush??

This brush is not useful at all. As you can see, the bristles are evidently course and hard.

The product itself is actually good were it not for the fact that I got the wrong shade. When I searched through makeupalley, they said that sand beige is perfect for NC35 or medium yellow toned skin. Wrong! It looks a bit orange on me. I can wear it alone but it looks tad bit darker on me. :C Sad talaga!! I cannot wear it over my usual liquid foundation because it turns darker on me. The shade does not really suit me. I love its coverage too. Compare the two pictures below and you will see that it can even cover my dark bags. It really feels soft and smooth on my skin. No tight feeling at all like mose pressed powders that I have tried. I have dry skin and I like powders that are smooth and does not harsh on my sensitive skin. It smoothens my skin too.I researched about talc and the results were scary. YAY! I stopped reading since I love splashing baby powder on my neck and body. haha

It did a great job in covering the reddish parts of my skin. My skin is not perfect. I usually have rashes, reddish skin, and look at my pores. Thank Heavens I rarely have pimples or acne. Over all this product is nice. Just make sure you get the right shade. It costs 700 pesos or 16 US$ at Tameraonline.

Quick Post: Love Packages

The transition period of my review consists of switching from 1st reading to second reading. I had to quit blogging when I started my second reading phase because I just have to concentrate more. What did teh more concentrated mode of my review do to me? I just have to leave you first with a picture that says it all. It was a whirlwind journey. However, it did not prevent me from buying new stuffs. Since I have no time arranging my things, I just threw everything on my traincase and some here on my drawer!!

Anyways, here are the stuffs I recieved from the past months I have MIA. I am sorry the delayed entries especially to the companies who have sent me these goodies. I will be blogging about them soon.
