Next to foundations, lipliners, and brow products, I can not live without bronzers - MATTE BRONZERS. Oh yes. I feel extra pretty when my face is contoured and chiseled. What strobing?Ano yun mga teh? I am still in the contouring phase. For someone with a not so matangos na nose (sige na pango na nga) and my utter lack of high cheekbones, contouring will always be one of my favorite makeup techniques. I know finding a good matte bronzer in the drugstore is hard. Most people would resort to brown eyeshadows which I am not really comfortable using. Why? I find that face products have different texture and consistency than eyeshadows. Thus, I prefer using a darker shade of foundation instead of eyeshadows for that matter. One of my favorite past time is going around the department store area. I would usually spot products that are tempting to buy. One of these products is the Canmake Shading Powder. I first spotted this at Landmark Department Store and I remembered that I asked the SA for a tester but they have none. So, I did not buy it. This costs 599 pesos and I will not shell out such amount on something I have not even tried. Days went by and I still can't take this product off my mind. I remembered that my good friend, Gem will got to Japan and I immediately asked her to buy me this powder. In Japan, this costs only 350 plus pesos plus tax. I was really happy she bought one for me.
This powder is housed in a not so sturdy plastic packaging and comes with a slim brush. The brush is soft and I use it to contour my nose bridge.
The shade No.1 or Danish Brown is a neutral medium brown that looks perfect on my NC30 skintone. According to Canmake, this shade is a yellowish brown which creates a soft natural shadow. It is recommended for those with fair skintone. The shade is perfect for warm skintones like me. I really thought that this shade will not show up on my skintone but it looks absolutely seamless on me when applied.
This bronzer goes on smooth when applied. The texture is creamy and very blendable. This is creamier and more pigmented than my Tony Moly Crystal Blusher in No. 7. This looks so natural when applied and the color is very buildable.
What I Like about this Powder?1. Shade No.1 looks so natural on me.
2. The texture and consistency is very creamy.
3. This product is very pigmented.
4. This is very blenable.
5. It has very minimal fall out.
6. This has a very good staying power. This bronzer lasts upto 3-4 hours on me without retouch.
7. Locally available.
8. Fragrance free
9. This did not break me out nor did I develop rashes using this powder.
10. The color is matte and has no hints of red tones to it.
What I do not like about this Powder:
The packaging is very fragile and flimsy.
I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS SHADING POWDER!!! My love for this powder has surpassed my addiction for my Tony Moly Crystal Blusher in No. 7 and Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer. This shade is best for contouring or like what it claims -- for shading. Yes. Ganon siya kaganda na I find this better than Too Faced's Bronzer. (Changed my mind.. mas maganda pa rin si Too Faced. :p)This shading powder has a creamier texture and it blends like a dream. The color is very buildable too. I can use it for everyday and even for photoshoots. This can also double up as an eyeshadow and works best as a transition color for the crease. Will buy again? DEFINITELY!
