My Lucid Intervals

I was about to do a Press/Sponsored Posts Spree (ang dami ko backlogs) when I noticed my huge eye bags on some of my photos. Kaloka. I had to stop what I was doing and I ogled at my photos for a few minutes. Ang tanders ko na!!! Huhuhu Ang saklap! I know! But thanks to makeup, I hardly notice my bags during daytime. Despite being a flaw, I love my eye bags because I got it from my mama. My siblings and I were born with naturally dark circles. And yes, grade 4 palang ako nasasabihan na ako na I looked stressed. Kaloka! Due to this, concealer and foundation became my BFF. I discovered my love for makeup because of my endless pursuit of covering my dark circles.

This year I have tried a number of concealers and one of the product that I am loving is this Shiseido Perfecting Stick Concealer. When I got this, I feared that the shade Medium (44) would look too dark for my skintone. Medium is a perfect mix of Peachy Beige shade. Surprisingly, this color is perfect for the undereyes because it corrects and conceals my under eyes at the same time. Now, I do not have to use orange or peach corrector because this does the correcting job very well. This costs 1350 pesos. Such price is not bad for a Shiseido Product.

It is housed in a black twist up tube. It is a very creamy and emollient concealer. The coverage is medium to almost full. It is very opaque and it can cover my purplish blue under eyes very well. You can refer to the photos below for evidence (hehe). It goes on very smooth and has a very blendable formula. Since I have very dry skin, the texture of this concealer is perfect for my skin type. I love the fact that I can layer this concealer with other products. Like - I use a highlighting concealer on top of Shiseido's to brighten up my face a bit more.

The downside of this concealer is that it creases. It also settles on the fine lines. Applying the concealer in a gentle patting motion lessens creasing and setting it with a loose powder, powder or powder foundation is very much needed. Setting the concealer will also lengthen its staying power. This concealer lasts on my under eyes for almost half a day, however, I do notice that the it slowly starts to fade on my inner corners by mid day.

See how it magically covered my under eye circles? This concealer also seamlessly blend with my foundation making my face look flawless especially on photos. Overall, this is a great product because It is a 2 in 1 product (concealer/corrector). I love how opaque and pigmented this concealer is. Aside from under eyes, this can be used on blemishes and for spot correcting. It can also cover up my redness and rashes without making my dry patches look drier. This concealer is blendable and the colors is also buildable.

I got an awesome privilege to be invited at the Shiseido Beauty Penthouse. At that time, they were also launching Shiseido's Autumn/Winter Collection for 2015. Two of the products sent to us from this line is the Shiseido Maquillage Dramatic Mood Veil and the Dramatic Melting Rouge Lipstick.When I got the products, I was instantaneously mesmerized by the packaging! The products are housed in a gold structured cube cover. For reference, please see the photos. I was not able to wait til the next morning before I could make a decent product shot that I immediately swatched these awesome babies.

The Dramatic Mood Veil is a blush and highlighter all in one. It says on Shiseido Website that this product is powdery yet creamy and blends easily for a natural rosy glow. This blush consists of 5 colors in 5 different textures for cheeks and face. This blush/highlighter is a mixture of satin, matte and slightly shimmery blushes. On the pan, the colors may look the same but it magically delivers different hues on my cheeks depending on the color combination that I use. The Dramatic Mood Veil is very creamy and I find that it is not too powdery. The colors may look light on the pan but it gives off a very pigmented color pay off on my cheeks. I was surprised as well because I have medium skin tone and this looks good on me considering that most light colored blushes looked chalky and patchy on my skin especially those that have pink tones.

This has five shades ranging from light peach, shimmer white, medium rosey pink, light muted pink and a medium barbie pink. All look wearable and delivers a youthful glow when applied. Why five shades?I copy pasted the explanation from Shiseido's Website here for info.

Contrary to the Directions set by Shiseido on how to use this product, I have never tried wearing this underneath my eyes!!! Although, I might try experimenting on it the next time. It comes with a unique blush brush which is very helpful.

It comes with a brush and a dome sponge at the other end. I primarily use the brush and swirl it on the pan because that's the easiest and fastest way to apply this product. If I wanted more color or pigment, I use the dome shaped sponge. This is perfect for applying blush on the apples of the cheeks for a doll like effect but of course, there is a need to blend the colors.

I find that this blush stays on my cheeks for hours and is one of my long staying blushes in my kit. I just noticed that most of my light colored blushed have the best staying power on my cheeks compared to my other blushes. This costs 2100 pesos and is available at Shiseido Counters. This also comes with a refill priced at 1700. I really think that despite the hefty price tag, this can last me over a year because a little amount of this product goes a long way.

This is how this Dramatic Mood Veil looks on my cheeks. See how it makes me look glowing. If you are not a fan of shimmery products like me, this product is worth a try because it gives off that good amount of glow without looking like a disco ball!!Btw, this blush comes in two shades Coral Red and Peach Pink. I got the shade Peach Pink.

Next is the Dramatic Melting Rouge Lipstick.

According to Shiseido, this is a beauty-oil based rouge lipstick that promises sheer color with luxurios gloss. True enough, this is a very nice sheer glossy lipstick. It has a slight fruity scent to it but goes away after application. This is housed in a twist up pen. I had a hard time choosing the color for this lipstick. Most shades are pink or red so I chose a rosey one. I imagined it to be rose pink color for everyday wear but this was better than I imagined. RS329 or Rose Rendezvous is a beautiful grapefruit color. It has a right amount of pinks and plums combines. I love how it complements PK 0002 Dramatic Mood Veil blush. This lipstick is one of the most unique shades in my kit. Walang halong stir!!

It goes on glossy and sheer but the color is very buildable. It also feels a bit moisturizing compared to my other glossy lipsticks. This reminds me of a glossy balm or lip butters that gives the lips that much needed hydration. This does not settle on the fine lines and has a good amount of staying power sans eating and drinking. This has no shimmers at all which I really like. My only concern is that this lipstick tends to bleed because of the glossy formulation. My solution is pairing it with a good lip liner. Of course, my trusted Nichido Rosette always saves the day.

How it looks on my lips. I do feel that this lip swatch does not justify the true color of this lipstick but you can definitely see how pigmented and glossy it looks on my lips.

Things are getting normal in my calendar and slowly adapting to this new freelance venture that I am in. This is quite a challenge for me because contrary to popular belief, I am very poor with time management. So, expect more blog posts in the coming days. I have been putting off buying a car because of our wedding. Yes love muna bago ang lahat. Joke. Honestly, getting married is really financially challenging (simple na yung amin pero namamahalan pa rin ako or kuripot lang talaga ako?). Anyways, going back to summer, I will be featuring Shiseido's Spring/Summer Collection 2015 on this blog post. Remember, my post about Shiseido's UV Foundation? I am in love with that foundation and I still am but I will soon buy a lighter shade when I ran out. Medium beige turns a bit orange and darker on my skin after a few minutes. I figure that I am Medium Ivory. For their 2015 collection, I was expecting a new foundation. Instead, they came out with new products veering mostly towards skincare. Here is my haul from their Spring/Summer Collection:

Their sunblock is just amazeballs. I doubles as my primer at times because it smoothens out my skin very nicely. Also, it does not feel sticky and it is very lightweight.

I got an email from Nate a week ago inviting me to the Shiseido Event. I squealed when I saw his email!! Ecstatic , elated, happy, blissful (insert all the positive feelings in the webster dictionary here). I took a welfare leave today just to attend this event!! Just this morning, Nate sent me a text message that I can bring 2 blogger friends with me. All I could think of was my best pal, a lawyer who blogs intermittently especially before bar exams, Chas of http://www.vain-and-pleasure.blogspot.com/. Arriving at BHS, we were a bewildered because there was not even a sight of an event happening. Turned out a limo was waiting for us to transport us to the real event location. I was like freaking out inside because it was my first time riding a limo. Never did it ever occur to me that I will be riding one!Not in this lifetime.

Shiseido Ibuki is the newest skin care line of Shiseido. It brings us "ready-for-anything skin". Perfect for those who have fast paced schedule and demanding lifestyle. Women who are career oriented and for lack of better terms to describe it workaholic and those always on the go, experience recurring problems with their skin. Waahh!!! Hearing these from the Shiseido gave me a sigh of relief. I have a very demanding job right now. I would often seat in a meeting for the whole day and would even bring home assignments. I often experience rashes, psoriasis flare up and super dry skin due to my lifestyle. I can't hide my excitement as I get to try these newest products from Shiseido. The first time I heard about Shiseido Ibuki was from a Youtube sensation, Dulce Candy. She was raving about the Ibuki Cleanser in one of her videos.
