Hello again!! :) So here is my third installment of my 5 days series. This is the third blog post where I am featuring a local beauty product. Recently, I have discovered this pressed powder while buying a backup of my FS foundation. The green compact is so conspicuous that you will never miss it at the Fashion 21 stalls/stands. I never had the intention of buying a powder since I am very much pleased with my FS Foundation. However, when I swatched this powder, this feels so smooth and silky. The texture feels so finely milled.
It comes in a sturdy green sleek compact with a huge mirror.
It came with a very thin round sponge that looked so flimsy. I really thought I would be throwing it in the garbage but surprisingly I am using it and it applies the powder very smoothly.
There are three shades available in the market. I got the shade no. 2 because No. 3 looks exactly like my skintone (back of my hand) . I did not get it because surely, it will look darker on my face area and I am acidic so it will turn a shade darker. This pressed powder have a nice color selection suited for Filipina skin tones. No. 2 is a light beige with tiny hints pinkish undertone which surprisingly suited to my NC35 skintone. You can refer to my last photo for reference.
What really made me buy this powder is its finish. It has this semi matte finish with gives off a natural glow when worn. It does not look matte and flat when applied on the skin. This works really well with my dry skin. Well, provided I moisturize very well. Compared to the other pressed powders I have tried this does not feel drying at all and does not highlight the dry patches on my face. Longevity or staying powder is so-so. I need to touch up by after few hours after use. This works well with my liquid and cream base products. I love the fact that it feels light and can pass off as a translucent powder when applied because it does not add up any coverage on my base makeup. What it does? It merely keeps it in place and sets it. If I do not moisturize well, it tends to highlight the wrinkles under my eyes.
Will I repurchase? Definitely. This only costs 135 pesos!! I love how it suits my skintone and it did not cause me any rashes or breakout.
Btw, did you already make your Christmas shopping? My good friend, Chas of http://vain-and-pleasure.blogspot.com/ already made her Christmas shopping when we went to Korea. But being "the Kuripot" that I am, I desisted from any christmas shopping there. Thinking about it now, I should have bought gifts in Korea because of the rampant makeup sale in Myeongdong and Ehwa. Now, I have to cram with other Manila Christmas shoppers. What I disliked about Christmas Shopping here in Manila? the malls are pretty jam packed and the traffic is at its worst. It would take me more one whole day to finish my shopping. Thankfully, online shipping is now available. Did you know that there are wide selection of clothing for women readily available online and even makeup shopping online is easier. A great example is from my favorite local brand, Ellana. Link is provided here. Now, I just have to wait for the courier to drop off my purchases and I am set for Christmas!! Oh diba less stress? I should probably do Christmas shopping as early as now so as not miss any names. Of course, inaanaks are on top of my list. hehe
