When I gave birth last year, I truly felt lost. (Blame it to my hormones) I remembered that I even thought of giving away all my makeup yung tipong essentials lang talaga ang ititira ko. Good thing nahimasmasan ako! Nakakaloka diba kung ginawa ko yun! hahaha When I went back to work, my love for makeup and beauty slowly came back.  One of my favorite purchases is this lip and cheek stick from Happy Skin. FYI, I have a current addiction to lip and cheek tints because I really wanted something that I could wear the whole day without retouching dahil wala ng time magretouch pag nanay na. (Chos)

When I first saw these tint sticks, they reminded me so much of the old Tarte Cheek Stains released more than a decade ago. I remembered buying the Tarte Trio way back in college and I did not like them. These cheek tints, on the other hand, are very nice!! Nung pagkaswatch ko palang sa kanila sa Happy Skin Stall in Robinsons Magnolia, I knew I have to buy them. These tints are marketed as glowing and moisturizing lip and cheek tints. Since I have perpetually dry skin, I really wanted to achieve that glass skin effect kahit sa cheeks ko na lang. 

 I bought these tints at BeautyMNL. com for 449 pesos each. These tints only have two shades - Cherry Glow and Berry Fresh.

Overall, I love these lip and cheek sticks. Aside from their staying power, these tints can really brighten my face in an instant. Goodbye stress ang effect! hehe

When Happy Skin came out with this strobing kit, I could not be anything but excited. That was the time when strobing was the latest trend and stick contours and highlighters were the craze. I could still remember the time when I hurried to the nearest branch of Plains and Prints to test out the contouring stick. I was drawn to this particular product and it was love at first swatch. The color looks so nice on my skin and the product stayed put at the back of my hand for hours. When these babies arrived at my doorstep, they immediately became part of my favorites. Sadly, it took me this long to blog about them. Sabi nga nila, it is better late than never.

The products in this kit are chubby cream products in a stick form. They are very handy and easy to use. No tools needed because fingers will do the trick. The warmh of my hands made the blending and application such a breeze. However, if you are a sanitary/hygiene freak, you can always use synthetic brushes to apply these products and it will still apply beautifully.

The products are lightweight and very belndable. The intensity is buildable. The colors are very pigmented and universal especially for the highlighting and contour stick which I really love.

The contouring stick is a beautiful taupe color that gives off a natural shadow/shade on the skin when applied. This is a very long lasting producg especially when used underneath powder foundation. What I love about it is that it slims down my face very naturally unlike other contour powders that look grayish or harsh in my yellow skin tone.

The highlighting stick is a gorgeous champagne that looks ethereal on the skin. This highlighter is one of the best in ny stash and it does make me look glowing from within. If this product has been launched way back in December, I would definitely use this for my wedding. The color suits my mediun skin tone. I love that it does not cling on to the dry areas of my face and does not highlight my pores and rashes. It lasts fairly well on my skin and gives off tiny hints of sheen by mid day. Layering it with another highlighter will make it last longer.

The blush is a medium bright pink with tiny specks of golden shimmer. This color has a hint of peach albeit unnoticeable making it such a universal color. On its own, it gives off a lovely flusb and sheen on the skin. It is my least favorite in the kit but for those who are always on the run, cream blushes will save you time because it is very easy to apply.

This is the color of the contouring stick on ny skin. I know it looks scary brown but trust me it looks super natural when blended.

Did I just say that the blush is my least favorite? I'll take it back!!! Haha Look how patweetums and youthful my cheeks look with it. Can you see the contour? It blended very well right?

Happy Skin Shut Up and Kiss Me Lipsticks have been taking the local beauty industry by storm. I specifically love their packaging and shade selection. They have a wide range of colors that works best on different Filipina skin tones. Just when I thought that they won't be any new releases from them this year, I was blown away with their newest Moisturizing Lip Lacquer and Moisturizing Matte Lippie. These are the two newest products from Happy Skin that I am really loving. I really love this two particular lines.

I received two shades and I am contemplating on getting more shades.. 

I got the shade Follow Your Heart which is a bright neon pink with slight hint of peach in it. It reminds me of I am not a fan of pink lipsticks but this shade surprisingly looks good on my medium neutral/yellow skin tone. It does not look crazy bright when worn. The texture and consistency of this lipstick is awesome. This has a velvety and smooth texture but goes on matte on the lips. The color is buildable and the pigmentation is great. This lipstick is also creamy and does not settle nor highlight my lip lines. It is a bit drying because of the matte finish but not to the point of making my lips cracked/chapped.

Initially, I was very hesitant to give this lip lacquer a shot. I AM NOT A FAN of gloss!EVER!! Lip products with glossy finish/wear make me feel too uncomfortable. They are either too heavy or too sticky for my liking Lalo na pag nagcommute ako!! My gulay, I can feel that all the pollution in the Metro gets stuck on my lips whenever I wear a glossy lip product. Eww!!! Just imagine that!! Well, sige na nga. This lip lacquer is an exception. This has a non sticky formula, offers intense pigmentation and has ultra shine for a plumper lips. This has a blend of four essential oils: jojoba, apricot kernel, aloe, and olive and it has a wax free technology. I got the shade Hear Me Roar which is a bold cherry tomato red. Surprisingly, I love this more than the Matte Lippie. Kaloka diba? I have known myself to be a matter lippie girl but this is one those glossy lippies that broke my track record. This lip lacquer makes my lips look plump and it covers up my dark lip lines sans any lip liner. Please refer to the lip swatch below to see how bongga it is.  Also, this is very long lasting. It stays on my lips for hours. It leaves a wash of color on the lips (not stain like effect) even after eating or drinking. I use this lip lacquer in two ways- one as a regular lip lacquer and two as a liquid lipstick. As a liquid lipstick, I apply it by layering the color slowly with the use of my pinky finger. With this method, the shine is lessened making it look more mattified like a creamy lipstick.  The shade Hear me Roar also makes my teeth look whiter.

 This is one of the products from the Beauty in Bloom Collection of Happy Skin. This is by far their most colorful set to date. This blush reminded me of The Balm's packaging. The blush itself is housed in a flip top card boad and has very nice mirror. The blush looks small due to its bigger packaging but having two shades in one pan compensates the blush size. I love how Happy Skin incorporated peach and pink in one pan. 

 The box has an illustration as to where blush should be properly applied depending on one's face shop.

Just Peachy is a beautiful light peach shades that instantly gives me that glow when worn. I love this shade a lot that I am thinking of using this as my blush for my wedding.Yes!! Ganon ko siya kalove!! It just makes me look radiant and glowing. This blush does not even have a shimmer but the color just suits my yellow skin tone very well.My swatches does not justify the shade esp. when worn on the cheeks.

Bride to be is a cool tone medium pink that works well with my medium skintone. 

When mixed together, they create a beautiful peachy pink shade that gives my skin a very natural flushed/blushing cheeks effect.

This blush is really good  GREAT. I love how it  looks on my skin. This works with both synthetic and animal hair brushes really well. It is not too powdery and has very very minimal fall outs. It feels very velvety and creamy. The texture makes application very easy. It never looked streaky on me and it blends seamlessly on my cheeks. What  I really love this blush is its pigmentation. The color pay off is really good. The staying power is also superb!! This stays on me half day and give that wash of color by 5-6th hour. Just take note that I have dry skin. I just find the price steep for 799 pesos considering the amount of the product. 

Overall, I LOVE this blush! ALOT!! The quality is almost at par with my TheBalm Instain Blush which has a good staying power and pigmentation. This is definitely one of my favorite blush and yes, I am thinking of wearing it for my wedding. Want to know why?

 I attended my first ever Happy Skin Event featuring the styLIZed Shut Up and Kiss Me Collection. I have heard great things about this brand and a lot of raves on their moisturizing lippie. Nag eexchange notes pa kami ng friend ko on which color to get. I was so ecstatic when I got an invite to their event. The styLIZED Collection is a collaboration of Happy Skin with Liz Uy. As you can see, the packaging of these lipsticks look so fab and they came in metallic shades such as silver, copper and gold. Liz Uy was very hands on in creating these line as she made sure she incorporates the fashiol world with beauty and the people from Happy Skin has executed it beautifully. They look so sosyal talaga. They also come in a slim leather case or in a clear acrylic case.

They come in a twist up tube like Revlon's and Cliniques's balm stains but these babies are one of a kind. I consider them as lipsticks because their opacity are incredible. These lipsticks are very creamy and very pigmented. Style Icon is even more pigmented compared to my my MAC chatterbox lipstick and I am blown away. The color pay off is comparable to high end lip products.  They glide smoothly on the lips and are indeed creamy. They give off a very nice sheen on the lips but after a few hours it dries into a semi matte finish. They stay on for a good 3 hrs. without eating or drinking. They do not bleed nor go everywhere once applied. The shades 24 Carats and Red Carpet last a bit longer and leaves a beautiful stain on the lips. They do feel light on the lips and are perfect for everyday wear though I would probably choose Style Icon over the two for the office.
