It has been more than a month since I first tested the Kojie San Lightening Range and the results are pretty good. I am on my second trimester of pregnancy and one of my fears is having darker skin. My OB told me that most pregnant women suffer skin darkening particularly on the neck area, underarm and inner thighs. This prompted me to be extra religious in using the Kojie San Lightening. So far, I have not yet experienced any skin darkening perhaps this can be attributable to the high grade Kojic Acid in the Kojie San soap that prevents rapid melanin production.Despite having psoriases flare ups, my skin does not feel itchy whenever I use the Kojic Acid Soap.
This soap (in the photo) is actually our second bar (for the family). To make the soap last extra longer, make sure to slice it into four pieces. This will turn the large soap into mini kojie san soaps. I also noticed that with this technique, you get to use every bit of the soap. Unlike other papaya or kojic soap, Kojie San does not transfer any orange stains on my loofah or mini bath towels.
The lightening lotion is a family favorite. My brother and sister swears by this product. Both of them wanted to have even skin tone and they have been looking for a whitening lotion that does not feel heavy or sticky. This lotion is heaven sent for us (me and my siblings). This product is easily absorbed by the skin and it hydrates my skin throughout the day. This has a very subtle fresh scent which is not overpowering at all.
I bought my mom the second tub of the Kojie San Lightening Face Cream. This only costs 120 pesos and it promises to restore skin's suppleness for that rosy glow. She primarily uses this product for her sun spots which she got when she had a vacation in Canada. She is loving this cream as her moisturizer. I, on the hand, uses this cream for my armpits to prevent skin darkening.
With lighter skin through the use of the country's No. 1 Kojic Acid Soap, feel empowered to bare your fairer skin and notice the confidence it can bring.
Kojie San Lightening Range is available at leading supermarkets, drugstores and SariSari store nationwide. Did you know that the Kojie San soap is now available in a mini sized version packed in a sachet? This is very handy for travels.

I first discovered Kojie San years ago in my attempt to have an even complexion. My arms are relatively darker than the rest of my body which is quite annoying. Kojie San soap is one of the whitening soaps that worked really well on my very sensitive skin. Now that I am pregnant I fear that I will develop darkening one different parts of my body like my armpits and neck. After researching, I learned that Kojic acid is safe for pregnant women. This is great news for soon to be mommies like me who still want to maintain good skin throughout their pregnancy. Also, Kojie San now has a lotion, face and toner for a complete skin care regimen.
Kojie San was first introduced in the Philippines in 2007 and Kojie San soap is now the number 1 whitening soap in the market. Kojic acid was first discovered in Japan. Kojie San uses kojic acid that is derived from the process of fermentation of malting rice unlike other kojic acid that is obtained from mushroom. Kojic Acid is known for its skin lightening abilities and is also considered an antibacterial and anti oxidant.
Here is my quick review on Kojie San Products:
Kojie San Skin Lightening Soap
My first Kojie San product that I have tried years ago is their soap. Kojie San soap is made of high grade Kojic acid. This promises to to diminish dark spots, freckles, acne spots and even stretchmarks. I usually cut this soap in half so I can use it longer. It does not melt easily in shower. It suds very well on my towel and does not leave an ugly orangey stain. I use this all over my body and leave it for 1-2 minutes so the kojic acid on my skin. This may be bit drying on the skin but using the Kojie San Lotion helps bring back the moisture on the skin. What I love most about this soap is that it does not irritate my sensitive skin. Continued use is advised to achieve clearer lighter skin. A bar of Kojie san soap (135grams) costs 68 pesos each.
Kojie San Face Lightening Cream
This face lightening creams is made of high grade Kojic Acid and natural extracts. This also contains Rose Hip Extracts that helps in rstoring damage skin. This is a light moisturizing cream that is easily absorbed by the my skin. It does not feel heavy or greasy at all and is perfect during the hot summer weather. It has very light and subtle fresh scent that is not too overpowering. This costs 120 pesos and is by far one of the most affordable and safest lightening face product that I know of. I use this on my face, neck and armpits. So far, I have not experience any irritation using this product.
Kojie San Cleanser + Toner
This toner has a 2 in 1 formula consisting of Ginseng Extract and Rose Hip Oil known for skin firming ability and help smoothen wrinkles. This gets rid of excessive oil to maintain a fresh skin. This has a very subtle scent and is very refreshing. I use this after washing my face and before applying the face cream. This does not sting my face at all even the areas where I have rashes. This does not feel sticky or greasy. My face feels hydrated after using this product. This costs 75 pesos only.
Kojie San Lightening Body Lotion
If you are a bit hesitant in using the Kojic Soap because it might dry out your skin, then this lotion will be your hero. This skin lightening lotion is one of the lightweight lotion I have ever tried. Like the Kojie San Face Cream, this lotion contains Rose Hip Oil which soothes my dry areas and patches. This lotion is easily absorbed by my skin and is perfect for everyday wear because it does not feel sticky at all. This lotion also contains collagen and vitamin e which helps in maintaining skin youthfulness and elasticity.
I am excited to see the results after few weeks time. With continuous use of the Kojie San Skin Lightening Range, I will be showing off a lighter and clearer skin in no time (kahit buntis dapat pretty pa rin noh!).
P.S. What I love most about the Kojie San Lightening range? Aside from being super affordable, the products are PARABEN FREE!!

I am kind of jealous to the generation today because most girls, ladies and women alike have easy access to everything beauty related whether it be through youtube channels or blogs. Most girls nowadays are very much aware of the how to's on how to improve themselves. When I was in high school, I was dumbfounded on who to ask what soap to try to even out my skintone (my arms are way darker than the rest of my body) or what moisturizer to use to prevent my skin from drying out. My mom is not very much into beauty, so we are on the same boat. Hence, this blog was created to document my makeup musings to help others learn more about beauty and to feature makeup products (that won't break the bank). I am very much inspired to be part of SkinWhite's #BetterMe Campaign. SkinWhite, the leading and pioneer skin whitening brand in the Philippines, aims to give Filipinas the tools they need to improve who they are both inside and out. SkinWhite launched a four month campaign called #BetterMe to help inspire and empower teens.
Last April 22, 2015, SkinWhite held an outreach to the young women of Brgy. Tagalag of Valenzuela City. This barangay is second to the poorest barangay in Valenzuela. The SkinWhite Captivate Council had a girl bonding time with 20 girls from the aforesaid barangay. A personality development seminar was given by KA Antonio wherein she talked about good grooming and self confidence. This Charity work made possible by SkinWhite is very apt for their corporate social responsibility. Being in the beauty industry, SkinWhite is reaching out to women and girls from all walks of life in order to teach them more about beauty inside and out. This is like giving back to the community on a very beautiful and positive note. This reminded me to give back to others. The grace of our Lord is overflowing in my life and the blessings that come forth should be shared not only to my family members but also to other people. Like, there are different instances where one can help to community. In our church, CCF we have different means on how to share our blessings to others like sponsoring a child to go to school for only 200 pesos a month or even giving aid to international ministry.
Here are some photos from the SkinWhite Event that happened last April 22:
So nice to see the smiling faces of these young ladies !!
How can this #BetterMe Campaign translate into our everyday lives? Have you heard people saying ang pangit mo na nga ang pangit din ng ugali mo? Sounds too melodrama and telenovela-ish but I do feel that our outward appearance sometimes dictates what we feel inside or vice-versa. I usually experienced this when I feel too stressed with life. Looking back, I would looked too haggard and would feel irritable. This is what the #BetterMe Campaigns aims to build a YOU inside out. That being said, mawawala ba naman ang product review with SkinWhite Products? hehe

Here is a photo of me using the SkinWhite Whitening Cream Face Powder in Light Beige on the other half of my face. This is an airwhipped cream product that turns into a matte powdery finish after being blended on the skin. As you can see, it did brightened and even out my skin. It is best for everyday use because it is very easy to use and apply. It works well on dry surface so I suggest skip the moisturizer is possible. It can cancel out the redness on my skin but can highlight my dry patches. It works best when my skin is rash free. :) This is a go to product when I am in a hurry like when I have market errands or grocery shopping to do. Yes, tita na ang peg ko kaya ganyan ang errands ko. hehe

This is a non greasy lotion that gives instant whitening once applied. This makes my skin magically turn a shade lighter that is why I love using this one days when I am wearing shorts or skirts. :) This is not too oily nor greasy, I don't feel uncomfortable using this even for everyday. However, my skin needs a bit moisturization so I used another lighter lotion to hydrate my skin more paired with this product.
left leg with lotion; right without lotion

Have I mentioned that I am on a skin care spree.Aside from the fact that skin care brands have been quite generous in sending me their products, I am quite obsessed with skin care right now. Currently, I am very particular with the soaps that I have been using. Of course, I wanted to achieve that glowing and fairer skin. Ay sos I know I been redundant about my dream of a flawless skin. I was given a box filled with Royale Beauty Products to review by Ysa. Thank you so much. This is not the first time I heard about Royale Beauty. I have met a taxi driver who was selling these products last year. Then, my mom bought their soaps too. Ysa was kind enough to send me a lot of products to try. I am trying my best to test each and every product sent to me but having sensitive skin I need to a skin care routine strictly for two - three weeks before jumping in to a new product.
The generous loot from Ysa! I did not know that Royale Beauty now has lipstick products and other skin care stuff too. I have heard raves on their Pinkish Glow Toner but I am currently using Burt's Bees and I not brave enough to switch facial skin care one after the other. I figure that I should try their soaps first. The first soap that I tried which I will be giving a review in this post is their L-Gluta Power.
This is soap costs 200 pesos per pc. I know this is quite pricey for a bar of soap but I am truly after the Glutathione ingredient in this product. I like the fact that it is housed in a thick plastic box because the box does not deteriorate at all whenever splashed or dripped in water. With this you can conclude that I do not use a soap holder. I place my soaps inside the box every after shower or bath. The reason? I want to know the product I am using for review purposes and I really find the soap box very useful. This is sealed and comes in a plastic covering. I even told myself. My gulay ayaw mo ba magpagamit because I had a hard time opening this soap.
The soap is colored white and has a very distinct floral scent. This did not melt easily and I used this for a period of 3 weeks (continuously). I suggest to cut this in half to make the usage last longer. On my first use, I did experience a bit of itching because I let it stayed on my skin for a few minutes. On my succeeding usage, no more itching occurred. It did not dry out my skin nor it made my skin tight or greasy. With a few rubbing/strokes on my towel r sponge, it lathered very well. It did not break me out nor triggered my psoriasis.
Did it make me lighter? That I do not know because I have been switching up my body soap every now and then. I do not mind buying one for myself because the soaps lasted 3 weeks without melting.
I am excited to try the anti ageing facial soap, raved by a local beauty guru and the Pinkish Glow toner because it is raved by Bing of Project Awesome. What product do you think shall I try next.

In my previous post, I have mentioned that I am getting addicted (once again) with whitening products. Currently, I am religiously taking glutathione (SNOWCAPS), vitamin c and vitamin e. Dko man afford ang super bonggang gown on my wedding, I want to look beautiful and radiant! Char! haha Para ko na rin sinabing daanin na lang sa ganda (ahem... nakakaloka! as if meron?!). Anyways, I have been seeing a lot of Skinwhite Advanced Products for years now. I have never tried any of their products until now. My favorites in this line are definitely the Body Wash and the Soap. Their Whitening Body wash contains 200ml product and costs only 99 pesos. Such a steal for a body wash. I find this body wash very creamy and suds very well. With a use of a towel or loofah, a teaspoonful is enough for my entire body because it lathers really well. It has a really fresh to it and moisturizes my skin really well. For me, this can pass as a baby's bath gel (adult version) because it feels gentle on the skin. Aside from using it on my skin, this works well as a brush cleaner. Yep. You heard it. I also used this as a brush cleaner because it foams really well.
Another favorite is the Skin White Power Whitening Soap. This leaves my skin fresh and clean sans any greasiness. After using this soap, my skin does not tight or sticky. The best thing about it is that it does not melt easily. I developed this bad habit of leaving my bath essentials inside the shower which more often than not caused my bath soaps to melt. This is one of the few soaps that does not melt easily. I even used this for about three weeks to a month because of its solidity.
The Skin White Advance Whitening Facial Powder comes in a squeeze tube. It costs 67 pesos and I got the shade in Light Beige. This comes in a cream formula and applies smoothly on the skin and sets with a natural powder finish. I find this product drying and this easily highlights the dry patches on my face. I prefer using this as a touch up powder because it looks natural and instantly brightens up my skin. What I disliked about this product is the fragrant scent which I am not fond of.
The Skinwhite Whitening lotion costs 125 pesos. It contains SPF 20 which is perfect for everyday wear. I like the creamy and light texture of this lotion. This easily gets absorb by my dry skin and I need not worry about greasiness throughout the day.
As for the toner, I have not yet used it yet so no review for now. :)
Hello again! I know... I know... Ako na ang maraming oras para magblog today! hehe Well, I am stuck in the hotel here in the northern part of Luzon until Friday so I got all the time in the world to update this blog. I was honestly never a fan of Belo Essentials products until I tried their Sunexpert line. I discovered their sunscreen (for the face) years ago and I am amazed/completely blown away ng bonggang bongga. Their Sunexpert line is one of the best in the local market. Recently, they launched their Belo Acne Pro and Intensive Whitening Bar. My skin is dry and very sensitive. My younger sister and brother's skin are the opposite. They have oily and acne prone skin. I have been prodding them to use different kinds of skin care products then these goodies landed on my doorstep. I was really excited to let them try the Belo Acne Pro in particular because Sophie Uy swears by it and she compared the toner (acetone daw sabi ni fiance haha) to Mario Badescu's. Little did I know that I will also be loving this new line from Belo Essentials despite having dry and sensitive skin.
The Belo Essentials Acne Pro Line contains Purified Bee Venom which is very popular in Korea. Purified Bee Venom is a popular anti aging ingredient . It is also clinically proven to have anti inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. In general, I love the line. I know that I only get zits once in a blue moon but this line has been keeping my chin clear from pimples. Also, my siblings love it! I know I should have posted a before and after of their skin so you would see the difference but I only got the after photo which is quite useless because there is no point of comparison. Belo Essentials AcnePro Pimple-Fighting Oil Face Wash/Php 99.75 I know some beauty bloggers are uncertain about this product because it does not lather very well compared to other facial wash. My dry and sensitive skin, on the other hand, love it so much. It comes in a clear gel which is unscented. This reminds me of how cetaphil works on my skin but I feel that this facial wash cleanses my skin better. It does not dry out my skin and gives leaves my skin soft and supple after every wash. I use this every other day to prevent break outs and as of now, I am pimple free. Belo Essentials AcnePro Pimple Gel/ Php 149.75 I remember my high school and college days when I was in search for an acne gel and my face would always end up with dark spots whenever I would use them. Yes. Those acne clearing gels that easily burned up my skin and left dark marks were my bestfriends errr frenemies before. This Acne Pimple Gel is comparable to the ones I have tried before but the best thing about it -- it does not leave dark marks on my face. I used it on my stubborn pimple on my chin and it dried up my pimple after 4 days of use sans the peklat!! panalo! However, it does sting abit (tolerable naman as in pramis.. keribells nga ng younger sister ko eh) and it makes my pimple itch too. Belo Essentials AcnePro Treatment Toner/Php 79.75 Out of the three products from this line, my ultimate fave is the toner. I love how it leaves my skin fresh and clean every time I use it. For its price, I would not even think twice of repurchasing this product. Also, this toner did not dry my skin nor caused me any rashes. BELO KOJIC ACID + TRANEXAMIC ACID INTENSIVE WHITENING BAR/Php 59.75 What it contains: Kojic Acid An organic compound that effectively inhibits the production of tyrosinase and melanin, giving skin a visibly lighter appearance.
Tranexamic Acid A peptide proven to inhibit inflammation and melanin formation. It is ideal for stubborn dark spots that do not respond to other skin lightening ingredients. I was honestly hesitant in trying this one. I had a not-so-nice experience with kojic acid soap before because it made my skin too dry and tight to the point of stimulating my psoriasis to flare up. After a while, I intentionally stopped using whitening products and got stuck with polytar, oilatum and dove. However, I noticed my arms got way darker than the rest of my body (especially now! jusmiyo!) Anyways, I was really surprised on how this product worked on my skin. It does not dry out my sensitive skin. My only problem-- it melts easily and compared to other papaya and kojic soaps, this one is slightly slimmer and smaller. The scent is comparable to other kojic soaps.
Overall, if there is one whitening soap I would like to use for a long period of time to see if it really works, I would have to say "Eureka!"
I am a huge fan of skin whitening products and I have done my best to maintain using them from lotions to creams and soaps. However, the fact that my skin is prone to rash and is easily irritated due to psoriasis made it very hard for me to religiously follow a skin whitening regimen. I got this SNOW Whitening Soap a couple of month's ago. This whitening product came from the same company that brought you the SNOW Whitening GLutathione Capsules.
This soap claim has seven plant extracts and enriched with skin lightening complex. I am too lazy to list down the ingredients so please refer to the photo below. This whitening soap is a clear soap similar to soaps made of glycerine or like Godiva's licorice soap! This soap is fragrance free and feels so gentle on the skin. This is probably the first whitening soap that I was brave enough to use on my face. It lathers well but it does not foam too much.
It has a non drying formula and it leaves the skin fresh and clean. No sticky or greasy feel at all. My dad loves this soap so much that he was looking for more stocks in my stash when he finished a bar! hehe With this soap, I did not experience any itching nor irritation. I can really recommend this soap to people with sensitive skin but wants to lighten their skin.
This soap costs 145 pesos each and will be available in Mercury Drugstore by next week. The only downside with this product, it melts quickly! I mean I left my soap inside the shower and by night time when I looking for it I was furiously asking people in my house if anyone used it. Why? I left it in the shower in almost a full bar (because it was my first time using it) and after 10 hours only 1/4 of the product is left. I was stunned and from then on I made sure that I store in a dry place after use.
After a month of using it, I did not see any visible whitening effect yet. I believe that I should use this for more than six months to really see results. Overall, I highly recomment this soap to people with sensitive skin.
