First event for 2017 where I got invited was from Watsons. I love this store so much that I could not say No to their invite. Watsons is having a big white blowout featuring some of the best whitening and anti ageing products  in the market at a discounted price.  Kickstart the year with a new you! The first event I attended this year is the launch of the Watsons Great White Sale. You all know that I am huge fan of Watsons because this store is a one stop shop for me. From makeup to skincare to medicine,it is easy to newest skin care products and find new gems that are very affordable from them. From January 7 to February 24, 2016, up to 50% discount will be applied to hundreds of products at Watsons stores nationwide. I have been blessed with an acne free skin (but I have super sensitive, dry and irritated skin so bilog talaga ang mundo). I got it from my mom! My two other siblings, on the other hand, have been suffering my acne ever since they hit puberty. Another person close to my life, my fiance has been suffering from acne until now. Having a lot of loved ones who suffer from acne, I know that acne has social and psychological effects on one person whether it be his perception of him/herself or how he/she deals with others. One of my favorite skin care brands recently launch the Cleanance Expert. Cleanance Expert is a daily emulsion treatment that targets blackhead and whiteheads. 

Avene also carries this Cleanance Gel or the Soapless Cleanser for blemish or acne prone skin. It is rich in siithing and anti-irritating Avene Thermal Spring Water, sebo-regulating patented Monolaurain and anti-inflammatory Zinc gluconate. This gives a deep cleansing action thta eliminates impurities and excess oil.  This is a very gentle facial cleanser with a very subtle fresh scent. I tried it once thinking that I can use it for my dry skin (ang tigas lang ng ulo ko) but it made my skin matte and a bit tight after washing. I gave this bottle to my fiance because he badly needs it. hehe He needs to have acne free skin on our wedding day! 

Pixi Philippines invited to me to a laidback and fun after afternoon for the launch of Glow Tonic here in the Philippines. Glow Tonic's is a cult favorite in the other countries. This is a so called beauty elixir that gives your skin a healthy glow. This product contains 5% of Glycolic Acid for exfoliation. 

"Glow tonic with ginseng & fructose For normal to dry, dull and aging skin. Oxygenating, exfoliating facial glow tonic. Helps tone, firm and tighten the skin. Removes dead skin cells for healthier looking skin. Alcohol free. Use after cleanser on cotton pad. Key ingredients: aloe vera and ginseng."

Glow Tonic is an exfoliating facial toner. It helps remove dead skin cells and promises cell renewal to reveal bright and glowing complexion. It is alcohol free and is suitable for all skin types. I was a bit apprehensive trying this tonic. I have been testing a lot of skincare products and I am trying out. I gave it a shot out of curiosity and I am really surprised. I was expecting it to sting but it did not. It actually felt very refreshing and light on the skin. After using this tonic, my face feels so clean and does not feel tight at all. This did not irritate my dry and sensitive skin. I did notice that it helped in reducing the size of some of my milia especially on my lips area. It has this subtle herbal ginseng scent. I love that it makes my skin look extra supple immediately after I pat this on my face. 

Having Glycolic Acid, it is best to avoid sun exposure when using this product. Overall, I really like the Pixi Glow Tonic. I have already incorporated this toner in my skin care regimen. This costs Php 1250  for a 250 ml.

Last month, BYS celebrated its 3rd anniversary in the Philippine Beauty Market. In celebration of this event, BYS partnered with Glamourbox for a September Exclusive box. BYS is an Australian brand. This brand is designed and developed in Melbourne and is known for their world class quality sans the exorbitant price range. BYS is one of those brands that is always up to date with the latest makeup craze or fashion trend. During the workshop, Pro Mua Katch taught us a day to night look but focusing on the technique of strobing. 

Lia, the CEO of Glamourbox, gave a quick introduction before the workshop. 

Strobing technique is basically another term for highlighting. It is highlighting the facial features where light would naturally hit the face like the forehead, nose bridge, temples,  chin and brow bone. Katch has taught us about baking. Baking is a makeup technique of setting base makeup by letting loose/translucent powder sit on the face for 10-15 minutes. This creates a seamless and flawless finish. My technique is using a lighter shade of loose powder and after dusting it off, viola - instant baking/highlighting all at the same time. The model looked flawless after the baking technique. 

When Nuxe invited me to their launch, I did not readily reply to their invitation because I know nothing about the brand. I made a quick research and began to learn that the brand is from France. Upon learning this, I immediately confirmed my attendance. Recently, I have made a silent declaration unto myself that the best skin care brands come from three countries: France, Japan and Korea. I was so excited for this event albeit my utter lack of correct pronunciation on their products. because I have read a lot of good feedbacks regarding this brand.

Let me share with you a history about this French brand:

Nuxe has since then integrated the effectiveness of nature in developing high quality skin care products. The formula is simple Nature + Luxe = Nuxe. Nuxe highly considers sensory appeal by incorporating different textures and fragrances on their line. 

This is their best seller and is acclaimed as the No. 1 oil in France. This stuff is amazing and it smells so good. Huile Prodigieuse is the iconic and multi purpose dry oil of Nuxe. This comes with a shimmery gold version which looks so stunning on the skin. This dry oil promises to nourish and repair dry skin, hair and softens the skin. I will be doing a review on this product because I am in love with it. For a lady with a super dry skin, this is truly heaven sent.

Professional Makeup Artist to the stars, Xeng Zulueta shared tricks on the newest eye makeup trends. 

I am really loving my hair color. I think Golden Brown suits my skintone perfectly. The color has the right amount of brightness in it. They also gave us Bonacure Hair Therapy form Shwarzkopf.

Okay walang katapusang event itey! hehe.. I have been lagging with posts (palagi naman.. hehe) and I just want to finish with all PR and events because I want to post more personal reviews and top five picks etc. Last week, I attended Burt's Bees 30th Birthday at Seda Hotel. I have known this brand ever since college but little did I know that they have tons of products from hair care to skin care.
