My Lucid Intervals

I want to start 2016 right by doing monthly favorites on my blog. I will try my best to stick on this monthly series on my blog. Let me keep my fingers crossed on this one. Last year, I have tried tons of beauty and skin care products that I forgot to even share and mention here on my blog. I felt like I was the bad beauty blogger who has been keeping secrets from my readers. This 2016, I really think you deserve more than PR posts and reviews. Weekends are now for blogging because my husband and I have decided to stay at home during these days to save money for travel and well, for the future. This January I have a few faves to share with you for the skin care and beauty department.

For skin care, I have been loving this Nuxe Nuxellence Detoxifying and Youth Revealing Anti Aging Care. Such a long name for a skin care product noh? Pero I do not mind naman because this works on my dry and troubled skin very well. One bottle is filled with natural goodness. Imagine, this is made up of 91.7% natural ingredients and it promises cell renewal for a more youthful glow. As for me, I have been using this since November and I love using this as my night time cream. This has a subtle cream lotion scent. It is a very emolient cream that lathers well on my dry skin. This is not heavy at all but it hydrates my skin very well. I wake up to supple and softer skin whenerv I use this at night.

Next product is the L'oreal Revitalift Magic Blur Eye Cream. I am not fond of using eye cream because the last time I used one cause me milia on my undereye and lid area. I tried this product because I love the Revitalift line of L'oreal. This eye cream gives immediate blurring effect that I love. It makes my undereye feel tighter (in a good way) and smoother. This product does not sting nor does it irritate my eyes.

Happy Skin Zit Zapper Second Skin Cream- I have been seeing this product from other beauty bloggers since 2014. I really wanted to try it because it is made for sensitive skin. It only has one shade which is quite fair for my skin tone. Despite this, I was amazed how well it evens out my skin. The color eventually blends well with my skin after a few minutes because I am acidic. What I love most about this product is its staying power and semi matte powder finish. It is my current favorite base and it works as a foundation and a bb cream for me.

Catrice Camouflage Cream Concealer -This is my newest drugstore find. This only costs 299 pesos and does an awesome job of concealing my undereye circles. Its coverage is superb and it can even act as a cream foundation. More on this on concealer on my next blog post. :)

I did not like this Maybelline Rocket Mascara when I first tried it years ago. Maybelline sent me a new tube last December and I brought this with me on our honeymoon. I was surprised that the brush bristles does not poke my lash line anymore. I really think that this one is a new and reformulated version of the old mascara. I have been using everyday and it does a great job of volumizing and lenghtening my sparse lashes.

Another Maybelline product that I have been loving is the Fashion Brow. This is a 3D Palette that promises to give full brows and nose lift. This kit has a brow wax, a medium shade and a lighter brown shade. It includes a dual ended brush -angled with a tiny shading brush on the other end. This product is a game changer in my routine as I can use this for my brows, nose contouring and even as an eyeshadow. Do you want me to make a full review on this? I have been loving the Pixi Natural Contour Powder. This is a finely milled contour powder. This can be quite difficult to blend so having the right tool is the key. The color is quite pigmented and it is more of a cool toned brown or taupe. It gives off that slightest hint of natural warmth on the face but this works best as a contour powder than a bronzer. I used this on my wedding and it gave my face depth and definition.

Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso -This is a a gorgeous coral with gold shimmers. It looks peach on my cheeks and it gives me that beautiful glow. It goes on sheer but it is very buildable. For NC30 and up, I suggest to load up your dense brush to make this blush work. It is a great summer time blush and acts as a highlighter as well.

Milani Luminoso, Pixi Natural Contour Powder

For the lips, I have recently discovered a new lip liner from Nichido. The shade is Spice which is a beautiful burnt red. It looks beautiful when worn as a lipstick and a nice lip liner paired with red or coral gloss or lipstick. It is only 100 pesos and the pigmentation is comparable to MAC lip liners. Also, the staying power of this liner is very good.

Lastly, I am digging this L'oreal Color Rich Balm in Heavenly Berry. It is a nice everyday tinted balm that gives my lips that much needed moisture and slight hint of color. This balm gives off a high dose of shine that makes my lips look healthy and luscious.

Oh how I miss blogging!!! Yay! Finally had the chance to sit and do something fun and relaxing. I have been busy with the gym! Yes, inaraw araw ko si Gold's. hehe Hence, the lack of updates. Sorry nemen girls and gals, I got too excited with my #sexybrideproject that I worked out every night. As in. Walang mintis. hehe Anyways, I will be blogging about these amazing products that I have been loving and using a lot of the past months. These products truly deserve a s pace in my blog and all the raves (I can give). Alam niyo naman if I like a product, I will rave about them talaga but if I don't sorry na lang ibblog ko pa rin kayo. hehe I have always wanted to make separate posts for each products listed in this post but due to my busy schedule, I always forget to that is why I opted to pool them in one post. :)

K-PALETTE LASTING EYEBROW MASCARA

I have developed this bad habit of heavily drawing my brows. In effect, mukha akong kilay na tinubuan ng mukha. My fiance even hinted that my brows look too strong then I tried applying this mascara and he instantaneously said, "Yan! Mas maganda!!" Eh ako naman kilig diba? So, from then on I have been using this product nonstop. I almost cried when I misplaced it. This is available in two shade - Light Brown and Natural Brown. I have not yet used the lighter shade but I have been using the Natural Brown for months. Despite my continuous and almost daily use of this product, this has not yet dried up. The Natural brown shade suits my dark black brown hair. The shade does not have any shimmer unlike other brow mascaras I have tried. Like its shade name, it looks very natural on me. It does not clump but the product needs to spread/coated on the brows with a spoolie for a better effect.

The brush is made of plastic and it looks like a tiny toothbrush. :) This mascara is very long lasting and it keeps my brows in place.

PALGANTONG THEATRICAL POWDER IN ORIGINAL BEIGE

I have blogged about this before but this deserves to be in this blog post because this product is probably my HG loose powder. Yes. Kabogera ang powder na ito. I bought this on a whim when I went to Korea. Why? this was on sale for 300 pesos. I just bought this because it was on sale and I have been seeing this online. It is housed in a huge tub/pot. This is a very fine loose powder that applies smoothly on the skin. The shade Original Beige is quite translucent but has that luminous or slightly brightening effect. This sets my undereye concealer and foundation like a dream. I highly suggest this for pro makeup artist and even for everyday use. It does not alter the color of my foundation nor does it add up to the heavy layer of foundation. Hence, it is very advisable to use as setting powder for heavy foundations. This gives a very flawless and photogenic finish. As in. This will be part of my wedding makeup kit. :) Ganon siya kaganda.

Also, I find this very suitable for those with dry flaky skin like me because it does not highlight my dry patches. It also keeps my foundation in place. The puff that comes with it is really good. What I only disliked about it is that the opening on the sifter is quite big. You may refer to the photo above. I like this way way better than the over rated Ben Nye Powder. The Ben Nye works best for oily skin but it does not work for me at all. Below is a comparison of this Palgantong Powder and Ben Nye.

You can see that the Ben Nye Powder looks so dry and matte on my skin to the point of being chalky. The Palgantong Powder looks luminous and even. :) Now, you know why I like it.

LA GIRL PRO CONCEAL HD CONCEAL

This is truly one of the best light-medium drugstore concealer in the market. The shade range is beyond amazing. They have 18 shades which practically covers all skin colors and skin tones. I have already finished three tubes of the shade pure beige and I got new ones last last month. I ordered it online for only 120 pesos each. I got my shade, Pure Beige, Beautiful Bronze for contouring and Classic Ivory for highlighting. This comes with a brush tip applicator that might be a sanitary issue for some people. This has a very nice light coverage which be built up to a medium one. The shade pure beige is my perfect match. I can even use that shade as a foundation but I use it to cover up my dark circles. It goes on smoothly when applied but compared to high end concealer like MAC's pro longwear, this does not last very long. Despite this, I keep on using this concealer for everyday use and I always carry it with me because I can touch up my undereye by mid day without adding cakiness on my skin. It looks pretty natural on the skin.

TONY MOLY COTTON PACT DELIGHT

This is another product that I bough in Korea last November. I was actually looking for Dr. Oil Queen (if I am not mistaken) from Holika Holika but at that time, such product was already out phased out. Since Tony Moly was on sale at Lotte Department, I immediately grab this baby. This is a white translucent powder. No, this is not like a white Johnsons and Johnsons Pressed Powder in White. This is way way better. This does not look too chalky on my skin. I used this on super humid days when my foundation seem to slip off or melt. This magically keeps my foundation intact. This is is also my immediate remedy to remove greasiness or oiliness. Fresh freshan lang ang effect. The downside is that it can have a whitish cast when left unblended.

PHYSIOGEL AI CREAM

A sorority sister of mine gave this cream to me. I immediately used it because I ran out of my Physiogel Cream. This product keeps my skin supple and well hydrated. This works best on my psoriasis flare ups and keeps my dry flaky patches at bay. This makes my skin very soft and baby like. This does not have any scent plus it did not irritate my skin. On days when I have nasty rashes, this product is the only thing I need to soothe the itchiness and redness.

CANMAKE GLOW FLEUR CHEEKS in APRICOT FLEUR

Truth be told, I am not a fan of mosaic blushes and bronzer. I really think that most product with such appearance would look too light on my skin. This product is the total opposite. At first glance, I did not like this blush at all. What's up with the white shade and the mosaic thing going on? I even told myself that the small brush will end up in the trash bin. The first time I tried this blush, I was utterly impressed on how well the shade suit my medium yellow skintone. It made my skin looked blooming and fresh. That small brush is actually really really good. It is quite soft and. it applies the product evenly and smoothly on my cheeks. The blush itself is quite pigmented. The best part about this blush is its staying power. It is one of those powder blushes that stays put for HOURS!!!!! I mean it. I can commute and do zumba and this blush sticks like crazy! Here is a picture of me using it! Oh diba? It looks so pretty. I am still thinkng if this is the blush that I will be using on my wedding but it is definitely shortlisted. :)

February na!!!! Gusto ko na maheart attack ang bilis ng panahon!! My gulay! I can't believe it. January just flew by and I still have a holiday appetite. 10 months to go before my wedding. Whenever I imagine it, I get butterflies in my stomach! Okay, enough of my wedding stories. This January, I tried rummaging through my makeup drawers to use makeup I bought in 2014. I have a lot that has been sitting in my drawers for quite sometime now. Most of my makeup have been used once or worse, only tested. Here are my favorites last January:

NYC SMOOTH SKIN BRONZING FACE POWDER IN SUNNY: I have been using this bronzer to warm up my face. It gives my skin a natural warmth. It goes on smooth when applied and I find the color pay off very nice for a drugstore product. ETUDE HOUSE OH! M'EYE LASH BASE: For someone with short and sparse lashes, this baby right here is heaven sent. Applying mascara base has been an essential in my everyday makeup ritual since the day I got this product. This works with all kinds of mascaras and it is perfect for prepping up the lashes. It lengthens and gives my lashes the much needed boost of volume. The best thing about it is its price! I got it for less than 200 pesos. MAYBELLINE INSTANT AGE REWIND TREATMENT CONCEALER in NEUTRALIZER: I bought this because of Youtube. Yes, I am one of those ladies who is a youtube fanatic that I buy whatever my favorite Youtuber is raving about. This particular concealer has been receiving a lot of raves. I got myself a tube and I seriously disliked it on my first use. It went on too light on me as if I am part of Twilight's cast (ganon siya kaputi). The shade I got is Neutralizer which is meant to neutralize dark circles. It is a very light concealer with yellow undertones. I immediately tossed it in my drawer and decided not to use it until I recently rediscovered it.This was during that time when I lost my favorite The Saem Concealer from Korea. I tried it over a powdered face and it worked perfectly well. To tone down the lightness of this concealer, I set it with a darker shade of foundation and my under eyes looked highlighted (not a reverse panda anymore). From then on, I have been using on my under eyes. This is the only concealer that I apply with a different technique. Most of my concealers are applied before I set it with powder. With this concealer, I lightly set my under eyes (bare without any other makeup except primer or moisturizer) with a loose powder. After setting it wit loose powder, I apply this concealer which blends out smoothly even on powdered areas then I set it with a darker shade of powder foundation. With this technique, I noticed that my concealer does not crease for almost half day and stays on longer than usual.

The sponge tip applicator is not sanitary at all but it feels so soft and it makes application easier. Afterwards, I make sure I blend out the product immediately because this concealer sets pretty fast.

This is how light the concealer looks on my skin. When blended, it gives off a natural powder finish.

ONL DEAR STYLE WICKED SILKY TINT LIPSTICK in No. 04: If ever you have the chance to go to South Korea, make sure to drop by at Ehwa University and visit ONL. This shop was buy 1 take 1 when I visited it last November and I really regret not purchasing more products from this shop. For the past year (yes buong 2014), I have been veering away from Pink. Call it aging or whatsoever, I really feel that pink lipsticks look weird on me. I have been loving some shades but those are mauvey in tone. This lipstick is my fave pink lipstick as of the moment. It is matte, pigmented, has a velvety texture and smells good. The color is a medium pink that suits my yellow skintone very well.

PALGANTONG THEATRICAL POWDER: One of the products I got in my South Korea trip is this Palgantong Powder. Some beauty bloggers love this powder and I am intrigued how it differs with other loose powders in the market. I got the shade Original Beige. I got this for 350 pesos. I love how this powder blends very well on my dry skin. It is not too matte and it does not make my skin look dry or patchy. I love how it sets my undereye and foundation very well without altering their color. It may appear too light on my skin but the color adapts to my skintone and it has a natural brightening effect on my skin. It feels so silky when applied. I love this than the Ben Nye Luxury Powder in Banana which I really find to be drying. The Ben Nye Luxury Powder works well on my clients but not for me. The only thing I disliked about this powder is that it is very messy to work with.

L'OREAL BUTTERFLY INTENZA MASCARA: A gift from my bestfriend when she came home last December. I was surprised that its butterfly wing shaped brush makes mascara application easier. This volumizes my lashes and gives it a fluttery flirty look, it does not make my lashes crispy, thus, leaving a room for re- curling,has a very intense black shade and it is easy to remove.

PANTENE 3 MINUTE MIRACLE CONDITIONER: I am not fond of conditioners because some makes my scalp itch or there are those that weigh down my tresses. This conditioner is truly a miracle product because it intensively moisturizer my hair without the heavy feel. It smells so good too. My only advice is that do not use it daily like jus use it alternately or every after two days or so. OLAY BODY WASH: This newest release from Olay is really good. They smell so good and they are very moisturizing on my very dry skin. I have been using this since the day I got it and I think this will make me a convert from Soap User to Body Wash User!! :)

KRACIE AROMA RESORT BODY MILK: I do not like lotions but my skin is acting up due to the very cold weather. My legs have been super dry and my psoriasis flared up. This body milk is definitely one of my favorite lotions to date. It smells very nice and does not leave a greasy texture on the skin after application.

PHYSIOGEL LOTION: This lotion healed my legs from psoriasis breakout. It has kept the dry patchy areas on my legs smoothened out and did a good job of toning down my psoriasis flare up. This is highly recommended for those with dry flaky skin like me.

Despite my occasional rash episodes in 2014, lip products never fail to brighten my day. Last 2014, I had the chance to try a lot of variants from tinted balm to liquid lipsticks. weekly but when I am in the mood I can change my lipstick everyday or every other day. So, please do not be surprised why I have loads of favorites for 2014. Did I really use them all last year? Of course!!! hehe Well, a girl can never have too many lipsticks DIba? :)

Lip Ice Lip Balm in Apple: This is one of the few lip balms I enjoyed using last 2014. This was my companion during my South Korea trip and I love how it it feels light on the lips. It did moisturize my lips nicely and prevented it from cracking. It has a nice apple scent to it with minimal minty feel. Maybelline Babylips Dr. Rescue Balm: I am not a fan of the babylips line of Maybelline but there was something in this lipbalm that lured me to try it. Well, obviously the Dr. Rescue name was too cute for my taste. Surprisingly, this is one of the few balms that I finished up to the very last drop. It is hydrating but not heavy when worn. MAC Ruby Woo: I first saw Shen of Shensaddiction wearing this shade in one of the beauty events that I attended. It looked so pretty on her that from then on, it was on top of my to buy list. First, I rarely wear red lipstick becauseI have thick pouty lips and I just realize how bold shades emphasize my lips even more ( in a bad way). Whenever I wear dark/bold shades, it looked so conspicuous and pansinin that I would end up wiping them off. Hindi kaya ng powers ko but this shade is something I love wearing. The formulation is matte though it is sometimes a pain to apply (especially on dry lips). It tends to get patchy so I suggest moisturizing and exfoliating before using this baby. This shade is impeccable. It is a perfect red that looks good on almost all skin color. Yes, I finally found a red shade that looked classy and sosyal on me. This is is a red shade that I can pull off effortlessly. The color pigmentation is awesome and it lasts for hours. The downside? It can be too drying and by mid day my lips are chapping like crazy.

Pixy Lipsticks in Misaki and Autumn Apricot: One of the newest brand to enter the Philippine Beauty Market is PIXY. I love how the shades of Pixy are all wearable. I have not yet found a shade from their line that I could not wear for everyday use. :) All looked very flattering on Asian Skintones. My favorites are Misaki and Autumn Apricot. Both have satin finish which means they leave a sheen or gloss when applied. These are quite pigmented. I need two to three layers to get my desired shade and coverage but I can use them without lipliners. Autumn Apricot is a warm peachy brown shade that I love pairing with my MAC Melba. Misaki is a bright coral but more on the peachy or orange side that brightens up my face every use.

L'oreal Barely Moka: This is a part of the Collection Star and one of the shades that I really love. The color looks burnt and muddy on the tube. This is something that I would probably hand to my mom at first glance. Do not be taken aback by the brown shade because this shade is so exquisite that I highly recommend this to all my readers. This is versatile color that goes on a deep burnt Brown or terracotta. Girl, this look good on almost all skin tone from those with fairer complexion and even on morenas. Why do I know? Pixi Tinted Brilliance Balm in Soft Sienna: This is a part of Pixi's Holiday Collection and I am veyry impressed with the shade. This is "My Lips But Better Shade for 2014" and it looks so flattering on my medium yellow skintone. Ofra Long Lasting liquid Lipstick in Laguna Beach: Matte and Long Lasting are something that I would always look for in lip products. Luckily both of these qualities are found in this Ofra Lipstick. Laguna Beach is a soft peachy pink shade (more on pink) that covers up my dark lip lines brilliantly. It goes on smooth when applied and dries into a matte finish that won't budge until I wipe it off. It is long lasting and I love how I can layer other lipstick shades on it to change the color or use a different shade of lipliner to alter the shade. On its own, I find it too light for my skintone but when mixed with gloss, lipliner or other lipstick, I can create the most beautiful shades ever. Colour Collection Hot Kiss Lipstick in Peaches and Cream and Kisses with Cream: These are affordable and limited edition lipsticks that have the amazing pigmentation. They goes on very creamy and the color pay off is at par with high end ones. Kisses with Cream is the perfect nude lipstick for me. Fashion 21 All Day Matte Lipstick in Russet: Russet is a very unique color. It is a color I never thought that I would find in a drugstore. For 175 pesos a pop, the pigmentation of this lipstick awesome and the matte finish is surprisingly good. Despite being matte, it is not too drying and it applies evenly and smoothly on the lips. The color is a very beautiful deep reddish plum. It is definitely one of the sosyal shades in my kit. After a few days, I realized that I forgot to include some of my everyday favorites in the photos above. So, I ended doing a separate product shots on these lip products. The following products are my so called everyday lip wear because the colors are effortlessly pretty on their own. These are tinted balms that are long lasting, minty and have good amount of coverage in them.

Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer in Fig, Rhubarb and Raisin: Can I just say that pigmentation on these can pass off as a lipstick? These are moisturizing and I love using them for everyday wear. These have skin loving ingredients such as Vitamin E, Sunflower Oil, Beeeswax and Coconut Oil for extra boost of hydrayion. Revlon Colorburst Balm in Honey: This is a rosey mauve shade that looks surprisingly nice on my warm skintone. Its consistency is comparable to a satin finish lipstick but what happens after using it the whole day is something that I really love-- it leaves a tint on my lips. This is the only lip product that leaves the most natural tint on my lips after hours of use. As in a just bitten effect lang. The tint it leaves on my lips looks so natural that I do not even care if it fades by mid day. Despite retouching, the tint and its pigment intensity remains even. This is my go to moisturizing lip product whenever I want something long lasting and hyrdating.

Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm in Ingenue: This is a product that look boring on the tube but surprisingly worked so nice on my dark lips. Shiseido Lacquer Rouge in RS322 and RD320: I have to admit that I am not a fan of glosses but these babies from Shiseido are soo irresistible. These have very rich pigmentation and are very moiturizing. This lip lacquer are long wearing and the color pay off is simply amazing. Unlike glosses, these feels light on the lips and I can even layer them on my favorite lipsticks like the one from Pixy. At times, I use them alone or I just pair it with a good lip liner. The colors are like full on liquid lipstick that leaves my lips a very glossy sheen.

RD320 / Sunburn: is a beautiful warm orangey/reddish coral that looks perfect in summer

RS322 / Metal Rose: is a gorgeous rose peach with hints of mauve. I honestly have a hard time deciphering the shade. Pwede bang sabihin ko na lang na super ganda niya? haha I imagine wearing this color on my wedding day or at the after party.

Tony Moly Kiss Kiss Lip Scrub: Lip exfoliation is a latest discovery for me. Thanks to Tony Moly for letting me try this product, I have lesser episodes of dry cracking lips this December. This product made lipstick application easier and more enjoyable because this leaves my lips soft and supple. This year I am all bout skin care, brows and bronzer. Before, my favorite part in makeup application was the base (foundation, concealer and powder), now, I am all bout doing my brows and bronzing and contouring. Here are my favorites this 2014 for brows and eyes:

Jordana 12 Hr Made to Last Eyeshadow Pencil in Continuous Almond: Before, I just used my Nichido Concealer Pencil but figured that it does not last that long on my waterline. Then, I discovered a lot of waterline liners that range from matte to shimmery ones. This technique just makes my eyes appear more awake and bigger. My most favorite is this jumbo eye pencil from Jordana. This is an eyeshadow pencil but I used it as a nude liner for my waterline. It lasts fairly well on me but I am still in search for a more waterproof waterline liner and one that would stay put for hours for my (ahem) wedding day. What I like about this liner is that it glides smoothly when applied and it does not move around my waterline after application. I tried using it as an eyeshadow base but it is not as creamy and blendable like my Mac Paint Pot in Soft Ochre and this dries very fast.

NYX Eyeshadow Base: This is a very affordable eyeshadow primer that makes my eyeshadow color pop and lasts all day on me. It can make my eyeshadow whether chipipay or high end stay on lid without creasing. I love how this is much more creamy and blendable than the famous Urban Decay Primer Potion and it does not cake even when I apply on top of powdered lids. It also does not dry fast which makes blending easier and smoother. This is available on NYX counters for 460 pesos. I am running out of it already and I will be getting the newer version which is the NYX Proof It Eyeshadow base.

Heroin Long and Curl Mascara: When Liz told me that this mascara would be perfect for my wedding because it is waterproof and holds the curl really well, I was super excited to try it. True enough, Liz was right. This mascara curls and lengthens my lashes without need of any primer. I always get compliments whenever I wear it. Here is my review about this mascara:

Nichido Minerals Pencil in Walnut: Whenever people would ask me what affordable brow product do I recommend, this is the first product that enters my mind. For 138 pesos a pop, this brow pencil is my favorite product for the brows. It works well on its own or with a brow powder when used to outline the brows. The shade walnut is very versatile because it looks best on brown to deep black hair.

Jazzy Collection Eyebrow Kit in No. 2: This is one of my best buys this 2014. Brow gel just make my sparse and unruly brows look way nicer as in ala Jes Roque kilay hehe (love you friend). With this product, I can create that vavavoom arch, I can even reshape my brows, I can also create 3d brows without need of using a lot of products and it just makes my brow routine easier. K-Palette Lasting 2 Way Eyebrow Pen: If there is one product that is always in my pro makeup artist kit, this has got to be it. This brow pen works on all types of brows and I especially love using it on people with fuller brows for a bit of shaping and defining. This looks so natural when applied which is the primary reason I love using it on clients. With K-Palette Lasting 2 Way, I can create the most natural looking arch. They have the newest color, grayish brown, which works best with black or very deep brown hair. And even if I use my Jazzy brow kit or the Nichido Pencil, I still use this brow pen for final touch ups.

Holika Holika Jewel Light Eyeliner in Black and Brown: I ran out of this and I just have to repurchase it once again. I bought this in Korea on sale for 4500 won so it was around 180 pesos. The black shade can pass off as a gel liner due to its intense pigmentation and finish. I love how it easily glides on my lid without tugging. I also use this to tightline but sadly, this transfer when used on my upper water line. However, it is super long lasting and budge proof when used on the lash line and lid. I really love this liner and for its price, I should have gotten more!!

K-Palette One Day Magic Liner : Hindi naman halatang fan ako ng K-Palette noh? Well, this is one of the brands that I super duper love. This One day magic liner is LOVE! I can create the perfect winged liner very quickly and it lasts for months. I have opened mine at least 5-6 months ago and it is still as pigmented like when I just newly opened it. Let us now go to the best eye shadow palettes this 2014!!

Urban Decay no. 1 and 3: I could not believe I would be owning Urban Decay Palettes but I am so happy I invested on these babies because they are so worth it. I love the shades on both palettes and I honestly can't choose one over the other. Some eye shadows on both palette may appear a tad bit powdery but those with sheen and shimmers are the bomb. They go on creamy and so pigmented. I used it it one gig and someone asked if I was using a cream eye shadow because they pack on so beautifully on the lids and look very creamy.

If I have to choose the best travel friendly eye shadow palette/quad, these two are the ultimate winners.

Avon Eye shadow Quad in Chocolate Sensation: If you would ask me what eyeshadow quad would I recommend for travel, daily wear and one that is very affordable, I would definitely answer this quad without a blink of an eye. This is very budget friendly but the colors in this quad look expensive. From the shimmery taupe to the deep matte brown, I can absolutely create a daytime office look to a night time party look with this product.

Urban Decay Naked Basics: Like the name says, this has the most basic shades for everyday wear. I love how most shades are matte and I can easily create the no makeup makeup look using this palette. The colors are perfect for putting a look in coordination with my other palettes because this has matte deep shades for crease contouring and defining and it contains lighter shades for highlighting and as a base lid color.

Ellana Eyeshadow Quad: I honestly do not know the name of this quad because there was no shade name at the back but if I had to pick my favorite eyeshadows for this year, this quad has them. I am in love with the rose gold shade and the peach shade. These two colors are so exquisite that I love incorporating them in every makeup look that I do. As in paulit ulit!! I even have to remind myself to stop using them because I have been creating redundant eye makeup look. Adik lang ang peg ko. hehe

Typing this while I am on house arrest due to severe throat infection. I finally got better after days of being on bed rest and going to the hospital last night for some quick IV/dextrose was the best decision. Anyways, here are my 2014 best of beauty (face products). Trust me, I will try finishing this series before the years ends. :)

This year, I got was a bb and cc creams spree for me. Hence, I did not see the need for me buying foundations because the products sent to me were all pretty good. Despite being a funda addict, I am proud to say that I only bought two foundations this year!! I bought my all time holy grail MAC studiofix foundation for my birthday and got to try the NYX invinble foundation which is really really good. I will be including this product on my list but i threw away the tube already because it expired immediately. It only has a shelf life of six months.

Tony Moly Luminous Goddess Aura BB Cream: This is not love on first try. Hence, I have kept this inside my makeup drawer for months and I began using it again when I can not find an everyday base with good coverage recently. The shade I got was No. 2 and I find it a bit too light for my skin. Well, for the record, almost all bb creams look crazy light on my NC35 skintone so this should not be new to me, Later on, I figured that I was applying way too much of the product and I just need one-two pea sized amount to cover my entire face to. I let it set on my face and it slowly starts to blend on my skin (I do not know if it is the BB cream adapting to my skin color or my acidic skin reacting to the product). This BB Cream smells good, very moisturizing and blends really well on my skin. This has a natural finish and I find it perfect for everyday use.

Etude House Precious Mineral Perfect Fit BB Cream: Oh Please do not ask me which I like more between this BB Cream and that of Tony Moly because I can not really give a concrete answer. hehe Torn between two lovers ang peg. I love both but I first fell in love with this BB Cream. The packaging is just awesome because of the pump dispenser. The coverage is really good yet it feels lightweight. I love how it works well on my dry skin and is perfect on humid weather because it does not slip off my face. For more info about this product,

Shiseido UV Protective Liquid Foundation: This foundation killed my lemming for foundations for months. As I have mentioned earlier, I just bought two foundations in the middle of the year and in November. I love this foundation. This has a very liquid and thin consistency but it provides excellent coverage. For the longest time, I have this notion that the foundations with the best coverage are those thick ones but man, this funda proved me wrong!I love how it can instantly cover up my redness, rashes and can almost cover my dark circles with just one layer. It says on the bottle that it is VERY WATERPROOF, though, I have not tested it's waterproof factor, this foundation does not move and stays intact for the whole day even without primer. (This is the reason why I never got into primers during the first half of the year.) By mid day my skin looks gloriously dewy ala-koreanovela princess and I love it! I just have to warn you that I have a combination normal to super dry skin and that's why this foundation worked for me. This foundation is not transfer resistant so setting it with powder is a must. Despite the whopping SPF 43, this does not have any white cast on flash photography. I got the shade Medium Beige which is slightly darker than my skintone. Tell me if you want a full review on this. NYX Invincible Fullest Coverage Foundation: This foundation may not have as many positive feedbacks in the beauty community but I seriously love this foundation and I do plan on repurchasing. The only con about this product is that it has a shelf life of only 6 months. Grabe napanis siya agad ng hindi ko namamalayan because I was trying to use products alternately. Anyways, this foundation has one of the most awesome coverage ever. It has a thick liquid mousse like consistency which I soo love. Adik lang talaga ako sa heavy foundations, Im sorry nemen.:) This works well for dry skin and I seriously do not recommend this for oily skin. It leaves my skin a very nice dewy finish after application. I got the shade Medium which looks orange on me. I think my acidity level turned it to a darker shade.

Hard Candy Glamouflage Heavy Duty Concealer: This concealer is affordable and has an amazing coverage. The coverage is almost at par with my MAC pro longwear concealer. To cover up my under circles I just need a few dots to make me look more awake. It doubles as a highlighter for me because the shade medium is light for my skintone. Skinfood Red Orange Makeup Finish Matte Type: I bought this in Korea and I really regret that I did not buy a back up. I got this for 9000 won or around 365 pesos. This smells super yummy (yes, like orange!!) and I love how it sets my makeup and makes my foundation, blush, bronzer and contour look more natural. It lessens cakiness or that too-made-up look whenever I use powder foundations. I love this way better than my MAC Studiofix Plus which costs triple the price. The MAC studiofix plus makes my skin look oilier (and man, I am not even oily!!). This setting spray also makes my makeup last longer.

Tony Moly Crystal Blusher in No. 7 or Bronze Brown: If there is one product that I will be repurchasing anytime soon, As in pag gumaling na ako kasi 30% off ang Tony Moly, it has got to be IT. This product is one of my most abused products this 2014 and look, I hit pan (as in super hit pan ha!!!). I love how natural it looks on my skintone and because of that I have contouring and bronzing my fez every single day. Too Face Chocolate Soleil Bronzer (Medium to Deep): Aside from the fact that it smells like chocolate, this product has the perfect brown shade that looks very nice for contouring and works well for most skintones. The shade is very matte and blends really well on the skin. I like using it primarily as my contour powder for my nose and the rest of the face for special occasions because it looks so good on photos. Maybelline Cheeky Glow Peachy Sweetie Blush: This shade is a pick me up color whenever I want to brighten my face. It is a nice peachy pink shade that creates the most flattering flush on me. Whenever I am lost on what blush to use for the day, this blush saves the day. The only con about it? It does not have a good staying power.

A'Pieu Pure Tint in Red and Pink: My travel to Korea has rekindled my college love for lip and cheek tints. Imagine those days when the only tints I have to choose from are those from Bench, Penshoppe or The Body Shop. Of course dun ako sa mura. hahaha I got for only 5000 won or 200 pesos something. I use it for both lips and cheeks and it stays whole day on me. To prevent blotching, I have to blend it fast and really well.

Benefit Dandelion: This is an all over powder which I use as a blush. Looking at it on the pan, the cool toned pink shade would definitely not look good on my skin as I imagined it to be. It has the daintiest soft pink shade with golden shimmers. This is the blush that I literally go over board with. I swipe tree to five swipes to get a very pretty flush of pink which looks natural kahit na patong patong pa.

Benefit Rockateur: I often veer away from shimmery/those with sheen blushes because they tend to highlight my rashes but this one is definitely an exception. When I opened the box, it looked so beautiful that it took me weeks before I finally had the ~~chance~~ courage to try it This blush smells super good too.

This was described as Rose Gold but on my skin it looks like warm mixture of beige, peach and dusty rose with the most flattering sheen. The subtle sheen is incredibly pretty. This blush has a buildable coverage but due to its silky consistency, just a slight tap of the brush onto the pan is enough to pick up product for my cheek.

MAC Melba: This is a muted brownish peach that looks so flattering on my NC 35 skin tone. It goes on smooth when applied and does not leave any streaky marks. I love how it looks so natural on me without the usual pink flush. I would probably be using this on my wedding day or.... NOT. :)
