Hi everyone! When I first saw the ad of Maybelline featuring this BB Stick, I knew I have to try it. All the BB Creams I have tried came in liquid form, thus, explains my curiosity on this product. I never tried the Maybelline BB Cream in liquid form so I do not have anything to compare this with. This only costs 249 pesos.
What the product claims: The first BB Cream + 12 Hour Anti Shine Powder in a Stick 8 in 1 Skin Transformer
Controls shine- Mineral clay formula helps keep skin shine-free all day Lasts all day- Powder finish resists sweat and sebum up to 12 hours Clears- Reduces the appearance of dark spots, redness, fine lines and wrinkleRefines- Reduces the appearance of pores Conceals- Instantly hides flaws and imperfections Evens- Corrects uneven skin tone Smoothens- Makes skin feel smooth, soft and supple Protects- SPF21/PA+++ protects harmful UVA and UVB rays.
I love the packaging. Though it may look tacky (249 pesos, what do you expect?), the twist up stick is very easy to use.
This product has only two shades and I got mine in the shade Radiance. I bought this without even trying out the shade. There was no tester yet at the Maybelline counters I have been at the time when I bought this. I already saw some counters having testers of this. Without testing the shade Radiance on my skin, I somehow knew that this shade will suit my skin because it has slight yellow undertones compared to the other shade.
Radiance looks lighter on my skin. I am NC35 for reference or medium yellow skintone.
Surprisingly, this blends well on my skin without creating that overtly white cast. This product claims to conceal and evens out the skin. IN my honest opinion, it does not have any concealing power at all. haha For reference, you can look at my picture below. It does not even have a coverage of a concealer. So, Maybelline I think the concealing benefit you are claiming is quite misleading.
The coverage is light but somehow buildable. I really think that with such coverage, this is perfect for everyday wear. No heavy feel at all.
I need to apply two layers to achieve the coverage that I want. I tried applying three layers - four but it gave my skin an unnatural whitish cast and it looked so cakey. It can not conceal pimple marks or dark under eyes. I really thought that it can give a medium coverage but it did not. I wonder if the liquid BB cream of Maybelline has better coverage than this one. Those who tried both forms, what can you say?Which has better coverage between the two?
This has a velvety - powdery finish but I highly recommend setting it with powder because it tends to rub off or wear off. The texture is quite creamy and it is very easy to blend.
I do love the fact that it does a good job of evening out my skintone.
In terms of longevity, I used it on a very humid day and my cheeks and chin looked remarkably shine free. However, my Tzone is a bit shiny after three hours or so. For the record, I have normal to dry skin. I really think that with a good setting powder, this is a good makeup base for everyday wear. When I am wearing this, my powder stays put longer than usual . Contrary to what it claims, it does not last 12 hours on my dry skin! I still reapply powder throughout the day to mattify my face especially my Tzone.
I experienced no rashes or break out using this one. However, this has a subtle plastic scent.
with Maybelline BB Stick (look at my dark lip line!! waaahh)
Maybelline BB Stick set with Fanny Serrano Two way Cake The Maybelline BB Stick slightly gives my skin a whitish cast every time I use it.
My skin looks fresh on the photo above but I still think that this is highly attributable to the FS two way cake. Without a setting powder, my face looks so uneven. I also suggest using a brush like and Angled brush or a flat top brush to spread the product. I tried using my fingers in applying this product and it created weird streaks that noticeably made my skin more uneven. Also, make sure that your moisturizer has dried or has been absorbed by the skin before applying and spreading the BB Cream. Applying the BB Stick on top of a moisturizer can get a little tricky.
These are the products I used to achieve the look above.
Over all, this product is okay (NOT GREAT, there's a world of difference between the two) for everyday wear.
I highly recommend this product for those who are in search for a great makeup base or a go to product that: evens out the skin tone; feels light on the skin; perfect for everyday wear; does not cause rashes or break outs (this is very relative); and affordable.
Hi everyone!! I am doing this post while watching Walang Hanggan. Yes, I am a teleserye freak. Haha It seems as if time stops inside our house whenever this show is on air. Ohh Everytime I watch Walang Hanggan, the beauty of Dawn Zulueta never fails to mesmerize me. I would always -- ANG GOOOONDDOOO!!!!! Di ba? I bet walang kokontra sa akin.
You've heard me raved about it previously. You have seen me wearing it on pictures. So what's the deal with the Neutrogena Fine Fairness BB Cream. This review is entirely my honest opinion. I know people will say that it will be biased since these were sent to me for review. Anyways, I have been into the BB Cream craze years ago but my lemming for them died down as I cannot find the right shade for my skin. Admittedly, most BB Creams are suited for those with fair skin and sometimes to those SUPER fair skinned gals. Yay! They always leave that white scary cast on me especially in pictures with flash on. When I received samples of Neutrogena BB Cream, I immediately swatched it at the back of my hand while inside a cab (yes, right after the event.. I swatched it agad). I was dismayed. It looks so light on my skin and it has grayish pink tones. In my mind it was yet another BB Cream fail. The next day, I road tested it and I immediately noticed the scent. It smells so good. It did not stimulate my allergic rhinitis at all.
What Neutogena claims about its last addition to the Fine Fairness Line, the BB Cream:
About BB Cream
BB Cream, which stands for Blemish Balm, is one of the newest skincare phenomena to hit the market. BB Creams began in Germany as a concealer for post-surgery scars. When Korean actresses started to use BB Creams, a revolution in skincare was born. Known to provide excellent coverage that immediately hides blemishes, the BB Cream has become an essential item for instantly smooth and fair skin.
True to the brand’s commitment of providing women with healthy beauty, the FINE FAIRNESS® BB Cream UV contains naturally-occurring minerals, Mica and Titanium Dioxide. When applied to the skin, these minerals match with the skintone to deliver instant blemish coverage.
Fine Fairness BB Cream
Now, combine the immediate fairness of BB Cream and the in-depth whitening powers of FINE FAIRNESS®. The result? A moisturizer that instantly corrects blemishes and works from within to continuously whiten skin.
The pump bottle is great in controlling the product. All my previous BB Creams were in a tube.
The color reminds me of Missha BB Cream which I reviewed before but this is lighter. I wished that this came in two colors but it only has one shade.
Yes, it does leave a white cast on skin.
I find this BB Cream very lightweight compared to the other brands that I have tried before. The coverage and pigmentation is sheer - light which I am okay with. It does a good job of evening out my skin tone but does not entirely cover my blemishes and dark eye bags. Actually, my eye bags look more prominent whenever I use it alone. The whitish/grayish shade highlights it and I need a concealer to hide it. The shade might intimidate most Pinays but to my surprise this BB Cream blended well with my skin when topped off with my foundation or a natural shade of loose powder. Also wait for it to settle and dry and the whitish cast will actually fade. It suits my yellow skin tone but with a noticeable glow. Make sure not apply the product excessively or you'll end up looking like Marilyn Manson! I have tried applying two pumps on my face and I look horrendously white. The texture is very blendable and creamy. The texture is thicker than a tinted moisturizer but I do not have any rants on it because it blends nicely. It dries to a slight dewy finish on my dry skin. I can even recommend it to those with oily skin. I love using it everyday especially this summer. I also observed that it is not that long lasting especially when the weather is too humid and too hot ahem like TODAY!! At the end of a hot day my t zone and cheeks looks washed out but my eye are (eye lid and under eyes) look matte and lighter than the rest of my face. However, whenever I used it in going to the mall or somewhere colder. It stays on my face longer sometimes even for 4-5 hours without retouching (I have normal to dry skin). I love retouching btw even if my face does not need any touch ups. Haha Ang arte lang noh?! I experienced no break outs from this BB Cream. I also find it a bit moisturizing (not too much though). My face does not feel tight at all and I guess this is the reason why I love using it everyday. The best thing about it -- it is easily available in the local market. Will I buy it again? Yes. But I still have a back up that could last me for months. Btw, I had this bottle for 3 months and still have not finished up the 30 ml bottle.
It claims that it can whiten you skin after regular use. Did it whiten my face after 2 months? Hmm.. I do not know! Haha I just love to use it everyday because it is lightweight.
What can you say with my first week compared to my last week update in using this BB Cream? I really do not know if it lightened my face since the lighting in the photos played a huge factor .
Have you tried this Bb Cream? Neutrogena Fine Fairness BB Cream is locally available at leading supermarkets and Watsons branches. This costs 700 pesos something for a 30 ml bottle.

BF and my friend even commented how nice my skin looks.. :D This is very different from the BB creams I have tried before. This one is super light weight (emphasis on super). Hello everyone. I given the wonderful opportunity by Purederm to try some of their products. You all know from my previous post that they sent a lot. I was really thrilled to try a full sized bb cream. The hot pink box reminds me of Skin79's Bb Super Beblesh BB Cream. Right??
It has three multi-functions that is why it is called 3 in 1. It has SPF 30 PA+++, Wrinkle (i think it meant anti wrinkle of made for those who have wrinkle to minimize it something to that effect) and Skin Conditioning. My initial thought on this product is that it is huge!! HEHE Well, it was the biggest BB cream that I own. 50 ml. is a lot of product for one face. I usually settle for 30 ml. I am really in love with the pink tube!! It looks so girly and posh. My Gingko BB cream looked dilapidated when I consumed almost half of the product.
The product itself is good. Coverage is sheer to light which is perfect for everyday wear. But it cannot cover the redness of my pimples (i have two!!yay!) I use BB cream everyday instead of foundations. I find them lighter on the skin and they do not break me out easily too. This did not break me out. (hooray for that!) I have been using this for a week now. It really feels lightweight but it has low oil control. I have dry skin and by mid day (during hot weather my face looks DEWY. )
The opening of tube is kinda weird. I noticed that it is really big. Hence, I have a hard time controlling the amount of product. The bb cream itself is quite runny. It looks and feel like a liquid foundation. The scent is like a regular foundation too. I really prefer bb creams with subtle scents. One of the best thing about this BB cream is that it has SPF 30 PA ++. I have no qualms of getting my skin burned by the harsh sun rays.
See how light it looks on my skin? It is a yellowish shade which is perfect for Asian skin. Although it is light on me, I just apply a minimal amount and I blend it very well. It maked my dull skin brighter. However, a downside of this bb cream is that when you apply too much it gives that ugly white cast. This product is made in Korea and can be bought at Watsons. I really wish the have a darker shade because it looks way lighter than my NC37 skintone.I saw their other variant of BB cream yesterday and I love the shade!! It is darker than this one.
On this photo, I used the Purederm BB cream. It made my skin tone more even and smooth too.
Other Products Used: In2it powder foundation, Jane Fan club Macara, ELF lipstain in Fashionista, ELf Brow kit in dark, Elainto black liner and Milani Bronzer in Medium.
Soothing BB cream is a natural botanical cover cream that effectively helps soothe and protect sensitive and troubled skin. It contains. Vita Extract, EMX water and Na complex to help protect skin and activate skin cell restoration for a healthy skin tone. Suitable for all skin types , even sensitive skin.
I bought this bb cream when I was really dismayed with Skinfood's Peach Sake BB cream. I was suffering from major major rashes due to stress and because of ponds cold cream (when I tried it all over my face!!my face went crazy). The blue packaging with flower details is too cute for me to miss it. This only costs 199 pesos!! I bought this immediately upon seeing the cheap price!! This is made in Korea, the home of the best bb creams in town.hehe
The cute long nozzle of this tube effective controls the amount of product that you will use.
I got this picture from this site. If you would look closely on the ad , it shows the benefits of using this product. Well these benefits can't be seen on the tube or on the box of this bb cream! I really like the packaging of this bb cream. If you want to test this product ask the SA of Watsons if they have testers. They surely have one.. :D
What I love about this product:
Its cheap!! 199 pesos for a 30 ml bb cream is not really bad at all.
It has a detail regarding its expiry date! The storage period is for three years.
It has a very nice medium coverage. It has a very thick texture and can really cover my blemishes well.
I used this when I had rashes and it worked so well. My rashes were gone after a few days of use.
It brightens my face and smoothens out my uneven skin tone.
This is way better than SKinfood's Peach Sake BB cream!!!
It has this strong herbal/botanical scent which I like. (others may not like it though.. it smells a lot like Manzanilla)
What I do not Like about it:
I find it very hard to blend with my regular moisturizer. I apply it first in a patting motion then I blend away.
It has only one shade and it is way lighter than my skintone.
It has no SPF and the packaging does not mention about any benefits on anti wrinkles or whitening properties at all.
It is very thick as you can see. A pea size can cover a lot of areas.
Here is the swatch when slightly blended on the skin. Look how light it is.
Will I buy it again?? Probably.. I am using it almost everyday because it does not break me out at all. Btw, I was supposed to make an FOTD blog post when I erased all my pictures in my camera thinking I already downloaded everything! Just imagine how frustrated I am!! grrr....... Have a nice day everyone.
Hello!! Today is the start of my very short sem break. Imagine, only a week of being away from books and cases. I got my package from Purederm this morning. I was so excited to open it. It was in a beautiful black box with pink ribbons!!
Here are the contents of the black box. Full of masks and a full sized BB cream!!WOW!!I am excited to try everything!!!
I badly need this for my dry hair.
I got two variants of Hydro Pure Gel Mask.
I wonder which one will I use first??hmm...
For the record, aside from having super dry skin.. I also have dry and course hands. Awww.. I hope this one will work for me. (crosses fingers) This and the foot mask are two products I am really curious to try..
WAHH!!I am wondering how am I going to make a review about this without showing off my ugly feet.. hehe
And lastly, a full sized bb cream. Thumbs up for SPF30++
**Purederm Products are available at Watsons. Reviews of these products SOON!!
I also received a wonderful blessing last night. I was in school with bf and other law school friends till almost 12 midnight waiting for the results. Guess what?? I passed all my subjects last semester!!WHeeewwwww... This is an advance birthday gift from God! Thank you Lord!! Last semester was by far the hardest and emotionally draining I ever had in law school. I was really on the brink of depression. I was almost losing it. I cried for almost three weeks in fear of not graduating. I never thought I could survived. I am just sad that some of my friends will not graduate in 2011. I will be blogging less next sem until the bar exams. Another semester to go. With God's help, I can. I really want this so bad.
Skinfood Gingko Green BB Crean 50 grams A moisturizing base made with the essential ingredients of green tea, ginkgo leaf, Vitamin B and lecithin for nutritional benefits to the skin. Provides light coverage. Suitable for all skin types.
Hi everyone,, Just a quick post with regard Skinfood Gingko Green BB Cream. I purchased this online for 525 pesos. I was really confused in choosing which bb cream variant from skinfood is the best. And well, I got the most unliked of all 4 which is Ginkgo BB cream. This is the least purchased of all Skinfood bb creams here in the Philippines and like others say also in Korea because this has no SPF. I heard Skinfood outlets here have not been stocking up on this product due to low sales. Actually, I bought this due to Khymm's enticing review. The consistency of this bb cream is way thicker than Missha's Perfect Cover bb cream. At first, I find a hard time using this . I find it really hard to blend. In the long run, I have mastered the technique of applying it (i initially apply a thin layer of moisturizer) and right now I am really loving it!!!I have been using this from the moment I got it. It really brightens my face after application. Compare to Missha which oxidizes on me (i really find it weird because lately everytime I used my Missha my face turns dark and dull.. I don't know why.. As far as I know I am not acidic..) The coverage is sheer to medium. Further, I love that it keeps my powder stay put (Disclaimer: Take note I have dry skin. Others say that its oil control is not good at all.. ). It is also scented with light almond fragrance.. Not alluring at all in my opinion but bearable because the scent is really not that overpowering. Nevertheless, I will not repurchased this product since I wanted to try other bb creams.
Swatch: (Shade #2)
My kitty (kuting in local parlance.. ) Her name is Charm.. I think she badly needs a bath!! Hahaha
Blemish Balm, also call BB Cream, is known to have been formulated as an after-treatment cream to help patients who have gone through laser skin surgery to soothe and regenerate the skin. The M Perfect Cover BB Cream gives an even and natural-looking coverage with the soothing, moisturising properties of a cream. It is suitable for all skin types including acne-prone skin, and can be used as a makeup base or foundation. Whitening + Anti-Wrinkle + UV Protection (SPF 42 PA+++)
These are the prizes I got from Naomi's purple contest. I have been aching to try Missha BB Perfect Cover BB cream because of the good reviews and raves about this product. Initially, I have high hopes about this product because of its name "prefect cover". My initial use of this product made me wonder where did it get its name "perfect cover"? I have to pile on as much of the product to get my desired coverage and it still gives me a light to medium coverage. Here are some things that I love about Missh M Perfect Cover BB cream: Blendable, Light to medium coverage, Dewy Effect/Look and it Never broke me out. Another plus factor is its high spf 42. It also evens out my skin tone very well therefore making it a good makeup base. Other bbr creams that i have tried gives me that ugly white cast when taking pictures but this one just gave me that "glow" and nothing ghostly effect or anything. **One thing I realized about this product is that it oxidizes. It turns really dark after application.**
Missha BB Boomer
BB Primer which boosts the adherence and duration of BB Cream and makes your skin look brighter with its pink pearl powder when applied before BB Cream.
Whitening + Wrinkle repairing
Containing moringa, patent ingredient, mannan and olive ingredients which have an affinity with skin, it keeps moisture on the skin and creates moisture shield, leaving it moisturized after makeup.
Containing adenosine and arbutin, it improves skin tone and fine lines.
The name BB Boomer itself made me so curious with this product. Boomer?? At the back of my head, I thought this would do something different when used with bb cream. It is a primer. I use this before applying bb cream or any liquid foundation. I find this good but nothing spectacular. However, Missha bb boomer is way better than the face shop's span primer. I have dry skin and normally I would not notice if a primer made my powder or foundation stay put... but Missha bb boomer gives a beautiful iridiscent sheen when applied alone but when I layer it with powder that sheen is lessened or more often than not it becomes unnoticeable. It does keep my bb cream, foundation and powder stay put. To those girls who resides in the Philippines, I have a good alternative for you. Avon Fresh Radiance Makeup base gives the same glow. See picture for reference:
I could hardly even tell the difference between them. The only visible difference is that Missha BB boomer is thicker in consistency.
My before (NO MAKEUP) and after (WITH MISSHA Perfect COver BB CREAM AND BB BBOMER) look. As I said, I have dry skin and using Missha BB boomer and Perfect Cover BB cream gave me that dewy look. But, it did not actually cover my pimple marks very well.
