My first haul for 2016 is from an affordable and local brand!! Can I get a Yay for that? I chanced upon Ever Bilena's newest products last week and bought some of their newest products. I was drawn to these products because they looked really promising. First, is their blush and bronzer powder duo. This comes in 4 (or 5) shades. This duo comes in a white compact which reminds me of Celeteque's newest makeup range. The mirror in the compact is huge. The brush that came with it is quite useful because it is a tad bit soft. However, I still prefer a separate applicator. I got the shade Fig (referring to the blush shade). Fig is a matte dusty rose. The color is a great low key matte blush that gives a subtle flush on the cheeks. It is a great everyday blush and works well with smokey eyes (imo). The bronzer that came with this compact is a beautiful matte medium brown. It does not have any hints of red tones making it perfect for contouring. It glides on the skin very smoothly and blends very well. Both of these products have a very nice soft and silky texture. The blush has a good staying power but the bronzer has an awesome one. The bronzer lasts on my cheeks for hours.
The blush and bronzer look so smooth and is very pigmented.
The blush and bronzer can be sheered out and build up. The bronzer looks very subtle on the swatch but it is a very good contour powder because it looks natural when worn. This duo costs 220 pesos.
The next products is a 150 pesos eye shadow palette. This palette has a shade name "PINK". This palette has 6 colors with a matte white eye shadow, and 5 shimmery shades - light pink, rose, copper, golden peach and dark plum with reddish pink sheen and silver flecks of glitter. There is also another palette which consists for matte and Neutral shades. I had high hopes for this eye shadow because the colors of the eye shadows look so good. The shades are very pigmented especially the darker ones, however, they are very chunky and the fall out from this product is quite frustrating. Though I really love how the pigmentation of this palette. It looks beautiful on the lids.
The swatch of the palette. I am now in doubts whether to get the matte browns palette.
The third product is the Ever Bilena Advance Liquid Lipstick. I have so much lipstick in my stash that this products did not excite me at all but when I saw the shade Rich Vino, I knew I had to have it. Rich Vino is a rich deep plum with ox blood tones. I cannot fully described the shade. This liquid lipstick is a beautiful glossy color but this product looks much better when mattified. The pigmentation is mind blowing for a local brand. The texture is rich and surprisingly, it does not bleed too much. It looks like a glossy version of MAC rebel and is a bit more red in color.
This liquid lipstick is not drying and goes on glossy when applied. It can be mattified by applying it with the use of the fingers. It does not settle on the fine lines of the lips and stays put for hours. It is very easy to remove and leave the slightest reddish stain even when wiped off.
On the photos, Rich looks like a bright magenta but in person it looks darker and richer in color. I am wearing the Pink palette on my lid and the duo blush and bronzer.
The blush and bronzer looks so natural on me.
Overall, I love the Rich Vino Lipstick and the blush and bronzer duo (esp. the bronzer as a contour powder). Have you tried the newest products from Ever Bilena?
Godbless!
