Hi guys!! Here is quick and easy purple smokey eyes makeup tutorial. I played with colors because I miss doing tutorials with playful shades. I have been stuck with the neutral craze. :D Doing smokey eyes is the easiest because you just pack on eyeshadows on your lid and blend away (and creating a neutral eye makeup look was the hardest... haha).
I love HBC lashes. I went to HBC the other day and these lashes were out of stock. :C I need to hoard when they have stocks again. For 20 pesos, these are the best lashes out there. Just try getting the black ones because they look more natural than the super brown ones.
My head looks like an alien's! haha I just had to post this picture because I look meek and mild. LOL Contouring at its finest because my face looks so small. Ohh the wonders of my makeup. No surgery needed and saves you a lot of money. :D

I made a video for this and it is in Youtube!! Yep in youtube! My ultimate mistake, I did not know that I can convert my videos to WMV file and maintaining it in HD!! Fail! I am such a dumbbell. IKR!
Here is the video tutorial:
Enjoy!!
Btw, I finally have a job!! I love the view from my room but I cannot look down from the 30th bldg. I am super afraid of heights!! Yay!! Thank you Lord for this blessing. :D
Hi guys!! I was inspired to do this look because Valentine's day is just around the corner. I was thinking of doing a prom makeup tutorial or date makeup tutorial but I wanted a sultry and elegant look that could be worn on a date or even at prom night ( I do not like the usual smokey eyes). So, I opted for a coral and burgundy blend of shadows. Of course, the lashes made it look glamorous!!
Here are a few photos of the eye makeup:
I made a video tutorial for this one. Here is the link:
It may seem that I misspelled the word glamorous in the beginning. I am too lazy to edit it again and it will take me hours to upload it. In my defense, Glamourous is also correct because it is the British Version while Glamorous is English Version. (pwede... haha)
Wahhh!! My BF asked,, did you place it in youtube? I said HELL NO! I am too shy (charing!!). I am sorry for the change of lighting and the poor lighting too. The light was just too much for my eyes that I had to change the position of the light. What do you think? I am such an amateur with video tutorials. :D
This is what you call - I want a more prominent chin smile.Ughhh! I do not have a decent full face picture of the entire look. :S But an FOTD will never be complete without my face plastered on my post, right? :D

Hi guys!! I finally have a photo for the Neutrogena campaign. My younger brother was my photographer. I had to borrow BF's DSLR for this. I must get a new SLR camera asap!!! We took like 300 something shots and I only chose this one.. haha I am not a model that is why I had a hard a time posing (either my arms or my bilbil steals the spotlight !grrr!!) . I am wearing an H and M one sided dress. I swear it looks so pretty on the hanger but I when I wore it, never mind. HAHA
Moving on to the makeup, I had smokey eyes here!! Believe it! I had grayish purple shadows packed on my lids but when I look straight into the camera, they just disappeared! Good thing, my hbc falsies rescued the look. It made my eyes pop.
Anyways, here are the products I used:

That's it, I will be announcing the winner of the month tomorrow.. I am thinking if I will be giving out a reader of the month giveaway this month since I will be giving out a secret prize to two lucky readers each week for the coming weeks to come.. :D What do you think? I want to give a shoutout to the best dad in the world, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PAPA!! I SUPER DUPER LOVE YOU!!
I just finished watching Heartstrings (a korean series). This look was originally inspired by Lea Michele's Golden Globes 2012 look. I watch the tutorial of Nic (pixiwoo) but ended up doing my own look instead. I
Here is Nic's tutorial for Lea Michelle:
Here is my own Touch of Silver Look:
I used my Nichido Minerals Eyeliner Kohl in Onyx as a base. I created the winged outline. It makes the application easier and cleaner if you do this.
Blend the eyeliner on your lid.
Apply a dark gray liner. This is actually optional but I love packing shadows on my lid to create a beautiful gradient and texture.
Dust some matte brown eyeshadow on your crease area and darken it with the black eyeshadow. I also applied more black eyeshadow over the wing and outer v for more definition. Highlight the inner corner of your eye with a lighter shade of silver. I also highlight my brow bone using Ellana Mineral Concealer. I think this made my brows look cleaner.
The final look. This is the texture and gradient I am talking about.
I forgot to apply more mascara on my lower lashes! :s I swear this looks more sultry and fiercer in person.

I hope you like this look.. I will be doing the morning rush look soon. It made me look so posh with using only one eyeshadow!!
I was polishing and cleaning a bunch of shoes in my closet a while ago because I will be hunting for a job. (Finally!! I know my parents are soo happy when I announced this to them. Haha). Oh please someone hire me!! haha These shoes have been there like forever and I have not even used most of them. I am not into heels. Why? because I am very clumsy and I walk like a gangster. In local parlance "siga ako umasta." Yes, I love makeup and I am maarte but that does not mean I am very posh and graceful!! Hell no! How I wish I was noh. I think I have more boyish ways than girlish attitude from eating habits to walking. And you do not want to hear my big deep voice. I sound so gay most of the times. haha I remembered that when I wore my favorite high heels in school before;I fell down from the stairs. Guess who is in the background of that scene (my law school crushie.. Yes I have a crush noh! And I told my boyfriend for 10 years about him.. haha I know I am such a weirdo.. I have the guts to write this on my blog because that guy was so last 2 years ago.. haha ) Anyways, those are my two favorite heels. The Calvin Klein one looks perfect in any outfit. Be it a dress or jeans. My favorite brand of high heels - Naturalizer. I can walk, run and even jump wearing them. hehe They feel so comfortable.
I know animal prints are everywhere. I am loving them too. I never thought I will be into them. I even remember seeing grandmothers wear these kind of prints before. I am now in the process of overhauling my closet. I am incorporating more formal and professional looking clothes!! I feel so old. Waahh. I am having a hard time buying clothes. We are advised by my grandmother that we must not wear clothes with happy shades/colors like red, pink, orange and the like because of my grandfather's death. This will be for one year. I came from an average and very traditional Filipino family and I respect this custom of ours.
I was supposed to do a makeup tutorial blog post about this look. I just added falsies for drama but you can do this look for 5 mins. only I only use one shade of eyeshadow!! This is a very quick and natural look for everyday. I was not very happy with the turn out of the photos. I did this look this evening. Look at my brows looking tacky with foundation. Waah. I need to fix my brows asap. I am having a hard time filling them with brow powder.
Hi guys. I was playing with makeup a little while ago and I have decided to do a post about it. I really miss doing FOTDs and I even thought of doing a video. YAY! What do you think about video makeup tutorials? Should I do it again? Definitely not on youtube. I hate haters!! haha Anyways, I was watching Enkoremakeup on youtube the other day about foiling. I really learned a lot from his video. Check it out here:
I did the foiling method with the gold eyeshadow. I never knew that you could stipple metallic shadows over matte ones before. I swear this looks better in person. You could just see gold flecks on top the violet eyeshadow. The shades are very festive in my opinion. Perfect for the holidays. Minus the exaggerated winged liner, I think I can pull this off at Christmas parties. What do you think?? I think that you should play with colors especially that it's Christmas. However, I am loving the neutral eyes paired with bold lips this cold season more.
Wing it like you mean it!! I got carried away with lining my eyes.. haha
I am loving my ELF Bronzer in Matte Bronze for contouring. It looks natural noh?? You just have to blend away!!wahaha Excuse my violet lips. I told you I was playing with makeup. I lined my lips with the Nichido Minerals Kohl Pencil in Onyx and applied my Barry M Shocking Pink -- the results? TADA -- violet lips. :D

Here is a quick tutorial to those who want to achieve that bigger eye look without using circle lenses. I have been staying away from circle lenses. There are fake circle lenses being sold everywhere and I do not know how to distinguish the fake one from the original. They look identical too. YAY!! I don't want to go blind. So here is a quick tutorial on how to make your eyes bigger without using circle lenses.
Sweep some shimmery bronze shadow on your lid and your lower lash line. I just used my finger in applying the shadow on my lid. Apply matte white shadow on your brow bone. Then I applied my black liquid liner, I lined my lower waterline with matte white liner from Fashion 21. Ohhhh... Do not forget to tight line your eyes with. Then put the falsies on.
I cut my other falsies and added them to add more drama.
I had a hard time applying the lower falsies.
I cut them in half and applied both halves on my lash line.
It look so unnatural noh? I need to practice applying lower lashes!!

I finally got my picture taken for the yearbook a while ago. YAY! I was late for the photo shoot appointment and I also experienced one of the hottest day here in Manila!! I did my makeup in this picture. I want everything to look natural. I wanted to contour my nose more but I was afraid that I might look so fake with it.
The photographer almost forgot to take a wacky pose of me. I insisted and she gave me two shots. haha
Ohhh the power of persuasion.. These are raw photo files from the photo studio so pardon the messy hair. Do you see my jeans underneath this shawl?? hehe

Oh anyways, I want to clear something. I am not closing this blog because some anonymous hater spoiled my day. I will just be blogging less for the next seven months to come. I will be reviewing for the Bar exams. I would like to thank everyone who commented on my previous post. Thank you so much for your positive thoughts. I need that now. Also, I removed my formspring widget!! woohoo.. I do not need negative vibes!!! That's the last thing we all need. To those who have questions or suggestions please feel free to email me or like my FB page. From now on, No anonymous coward will be entertained.
I lived in a country where most people have a weird perception of beauty. Most think that fair skinned women are more beautiful than those with golden skin. Tisays (fair skinned women) are in while Morenas are out. This is the reason why I freakin' want to be fairer! Younger, I have this habit of buying whitening products from soap to lotions. I have tried papaya soaps and glutathione before. Uhmm.. nothing worked. :p This post is for my reader Gly Lee. Thank you for requesting this one and for supporting my blog!! I am not a professional makeup artist. I will try to share my thoughts on bronzers and how to apply them.
Back in college, I was really interested in trying bronzers. I could still remember my first bronzer was from Palladio. It was a shimmery one with a hint of red in it. When I used it, oh my!!! I literally looked like a paso (a garden clay pot!) I looked dirty and muddy and the bronzer looked so unnatural on my skin. After using that bronzer, I never tried any bronzer until now. Choosing the right shade of bronzer is very important. The no. 1 rule is you must choose a shade that looks natural on your skintone. You want to look sunkissed not sunburnt. If you are using your bronzer to contour your face, choose a shade a shade or two shades darker than your skintone. Those with brown tones looked more natural on most skin tones. Those with orange or red tones looked so fake on me. I like using matte bronzers more than shimmery ones since the latter tends to highlight my rashes. I use my shimmery bronzers on the apples of my cheek for that nice glow. I think those with golden sheen are very versatile and can be used by most skin tones. Another thing you should consider is your skin type. There bronzing lotions, liquid, cream, pressed powders and loose ones too. I am more into the pressed powder forms. It is easier to use, easier to manipulate the amount of product and to blend. I like using my Marionnaud Angled Brush in applying my bronzer to contour my face.
These are a few swatches of my bronzers. I made a post about them. Click here.
Apply your bronzers where the sun naturally hit your face. I use my matte bronzers. Start by applying your bronzers lightly on your face then apply more to build your desired color. I use matte bronzers for contour. Sometimes, I use it as a blush too depending on the makeup that I do for the day. I applied it on my hairline, jawline, underneath the apples of my cheek to the temple, and some on my clavicle (collar bone) to define my face. And to lessen the roundness of my face!! hihi Then I applied my shimmery bronzer on the apples of my cheek. See how it made my skin glow. (and sweaty!! eww.. hahaha)
For contour: ELF Studioline Duo Powder Bronzer (i love this one) I applied it using my Marionnaud Angled Brush. For that golden sheen: I use my Moi cosmetics 42 blush and eyeshadow palette. I applied it with the use of my Ecotools Kabuki brush.
I bet your wondering why I looked a bit tan on the pictures. I mixed my foundation with a darker cream foundation from James Cooper Jazzy Compact Cream Photogenic Foundation (wheeeww.. quite a long name noh??) and I added a lot of Maybelline Mineral Powder Bronzer to create that beautiful sheen on my face and neck.
Another tip: If you are sporting the shimmery bronzer, try using a matte lipstick or matte eyeshadow so as not to look like a discoball. hihi..
I hoped I helped everyone with this post.
Next post: My eye makeup on this look.
