I have mentioned numerous times that I will be doing my own makeup on my wedding. (at alam kong sawa na kayo na marinig ito. Chill lang malapit na ang kasal ko!! hehe) That being said, I once again became interested with eyeshadow palettes. In case you do not know, I rarely wear eye makeup (except mascara) for everyday wear. From the time I have decided to do my own wedding makeup, I am in a hunt for a good eyeshadow palette. Of course, being the complex person that I am, I found the eyeshadows that I will from different palettes. One palette that I am very thankful that landed on my doorstep is the Maybelline The Nudes Palette. I never thought this will be available locally since almost all of my favorite Youtube Gurus have already raved about this product since last year. This palette only costs 675 pesos. Not bad for a palette that contains 12 shades mostly neutrals and warm tones. The colors are very wearable. I can use this for daytime and even create gorgeous smokey eyes with the shades.
It comes with an eyeshadow applicator which is not useful in my opinion unless you just needed to pack on the color on your lid. The eyeshadows in this palette are fairly pigmented especially the darker tones and the shimmery ones. I also noticed that the matte black and the dark taupe looks a bit streaky and patchy, thus, making it very tricky to apply. This palette works best with a primer underneath because the primer will make the colors look fuller. Surprisingly, this is not powdery but the mattes shades are a bit hard to pick up. The shimmery tones are buttery and soft in texture. The colors are very blendable.

The product quality is not at par with my favorite Urban Decay Eyeshadows but for a drugstore, I really think that this palette is very nice. I highly recommend this for those budget seekers. It is also a great start up palettes for makeup beginners because it contains both shimmery and mattes shades. As for me, I am planning to use some shades on my big day and also on my prenuptial photoshoot happening this week. As for staying power, the colors stay on my lid for hours even without any primer. (Take note I have dry skin)

This is my go-to eyeshadow palette when I am on a hurry. :) I did this eye makeup for less than ten minutes.
What do you think of this palette? Have you tried it?
