This was a very productive in the life of a bride-to-be. We had the chance to finally go venue hunting in intramuros. I really fell in love with one the garden reception but fiance is hesitant because of the unpredictable weather in the Philippines. Our wedding is set on December and I really want a garden setting but the humid Manila weather could definitely melt my makeup away in minutes. We have yet to decide on the venue and I am looking forward to any of your recommendation (preferably budget friendly receptions). I have noticed that I have been loving a natural go to makeup not only for everyday wear but even on special events. I often think of everyday makeup as the "best version of you". Not too much. Not too flat. It is putting on the right amount of color and the most flattering shades on your skin.
Compare my before and after photos above. Mapapakanta ka sa second picture ng I'm alive, alert, awake, enthusiastic. hehe :) On the first photo, I just applied powder and lipstick. And yes, it does not mean that when you put on powder and lipstick, you are good to go na. Powder has the tendency to wash out your face and can make you look flat and lifeless. I have met women who have been telling me that they are good to go with just powder and lipstick. I wanted to tell them talaga lang ah?! Honestly speaking, if there is one makeup look every woman/girl should master, it should be - everyday makeup. Why? because it is the "just-you-but-better-version look". This look never fails whether it be on your job interview, first date or even on a special occasion.
So what are my tips? On the second photo, this is where I used my powers na. Chos!Okay, eye is very important. To open up your peepers, a good lash curler really helps. I just got the infamous Shu Uemura Lash Curler and I super duper mega love it. It curls my lashes really well and my curl almost last half day (almost lang.. o sige 3-4 hours siguro). I had my officemate/friend buy it for me in Japan. Guess how much I got this curler? Dali na... Make a wild guess. hehe Okay, I got this baby for 550 pesos!! Kaloka diba? When I learned about its price, I told myself I should have gotten two na!One for back up agad agad! Also, make your eyes look more awake or bigger by using an eye brightener. I prefer a matte beige shade on my waterline because white liner just look so weird on me. I am loving this very affordable and smudgeproof/waterproof Jordana Made To Last Eyeshadow Pencil in Continuous Almond. The most important on the eye department are the brows. Brows frame your face and it can either make you look old or young. The thicker the better.. that is what people say these days but please... when they say thick, it means naturally thick not oscar the grouch of sesame street kind of thick brows, if you get what I mean. I have been seeing women with crazy thick heavily drawn brows. I always remember Jes Roque's (the kilay queen) advice, have your brows professionally shaped/groomed and from there you are good to go. I also suggest just following the shape of your brows. Do not go overboard with filling them in or outlining them. Stay on the area of your responsibility just what my teachers in makeup school always say. Lastly, naturally contour your face. Just use a darker shade of powder or a nice light bronzer to give shape to your face. Ditch shimmery bronzers and always go for matte ones. On my second photo, I did not contour too much but just lightly sweep the bronzer to create an illusion of a healthy glow on my skin.
Here are the products I used for this makeup look. Btw, I am so loving this NYX Invincible foundation. I will make a review about this and this Colour Collection Argan Oil lipstick in Bella. I have been using it almost everyday because it just look so flattering and pretty on my skin.
That's it!! What are your favorite go to everyday makeup products?

Okay walang katapusang event itey! hehe.. I have been lagging with posts (palagi naman.. hehe) and I just want to finish with all PR and events because I want to post more personal reviews and top five picks etc. Last week, I attended Burt's Bees 30th Birthday at Seda Hotel. I have known this brand ever since college but little did I know that they have tons of products from hair care to skin care.
Did you know that Burt of Burt's Bees really exists? Yep. I only learned this fact during the event and I was inspired by his life to the point na gusto ko na magpa adopt legally sa kanya.. haha kidding. But here's a quick video clip know more about Burt Shavits, co founder of Burt's Bees.
In the recent years, the brand has expanded to include six skincare lines to cater to both
men and women’s needs. For a radiant glow, suggest you try our Radiance Line which is
infused with royal jelly, a special ingredient packed with essential nutrients and vitamins for your skin.
For a more even complexion, the Daisy White range that features daisy
white extract from the Macedonian region naturally has whitening properties that is
perfect for you who seek a fairer tone. For those looking into an effective acne fighting system, our Acne Solutions range naturally zaps those unwanted impurities
with a powerful dose of willow bark extract, which has salicylic acid to combat acne related problems. Complexions with a need for deep replenishing, we offer our Intense Hydration line. It is formulated with clary sage, a plant which is known for
its water-retention properties as it is a plant that thrives even in the harsh desert climate.
The Sensitive range has cotton extract to address those with a delicate complexion,
while the Naturally Ageless line is made with pomegranate extract which promises an even
more youthful appearance.
Liz did a quick painting workshop for all of us. Have you seen her awesome sketches and paintings one IG? I love her creativity and while she's drawing this tree it was so easy for her like putting on lip balm.
Oh here is my quick painting. Pambata ang peg.. hehe.
Here are the goodies I received from the event. I am using everything right now and I am in love with the Garden Tomato Toner. What do you like me to review first?
Burt’s Bees products are available at all Beauty Bar branches nationwide.

Mandom Philippines (the company that brought us Bifesta and Lucido-L) has brought the newest and very affordable Japanese makeup line in the Philippines. This Japanese brands has been showering beauty across Indonesia and Malaysia. Now, we get a taste of these lovely brand and it is formulated in Japan and Made in Indonesia! My friend and I (Chas of http://vain-and-pleasure.blogspot.com/) have been quite biased when it comes to Japanese brands. We have this notion that if made a makeup is made or formulated in Japan, it is definitely good and perfect for Asian skin. Pixy incorporates the light reflecting and skin perfecting properties found in Japanese brands.
Pixy offers a ladylike "gal" trend with a twist. Pixy is affordable, wearable and incredibly easy to wear. It promises to awaken one's youthful spirit with its chic and pink packaging. I have been loving their lipsticks and foundation for months now and I am excited to share the swatches and review to all of you.
The event place was one of the most sophisticated and well decorated one I have been to. The place was surrounded by Japaned Cherry blossoms that made us, the guests, felt a bit of Japan.
