My Skin But Better: Discover Your Skin in A New Light

Last week, I had the chance to attend the Kojie San Event. It was a very informative afternoon with Kojie San. There are skin experts like Dr. Lindsay Torralba who explained the difference with whitening and lightening.

Did you know that there is a difference between the two? Lightening involves the process of returning the skin in their original state which is before sun damage or discoloration. This process reverses sun damage or skin blotchiness and usually involves gentle routine of bringing back radiance to the skin. On the other hand, whitening aims to change ones skin tone by using drastic steps and this process usually involves harsh chemicals that may irritate or even damage the skin. That afternoon, I learned that Kojie San's main aim is skin lightening. Kojie San is made of natural ingredients and is made up of two powerful based ingredients which are high grade virgin coconut oil and Kojic Acid. Take note that their Kojic Acid is a by product of fermentation when making Japanese rice wine or sake. This is the reason why I love Kojie San. I have been very vocal about my skin disorder- psoriasis and my skin is very sensitive. Finding the right soap or lotion that can bring radiance to my skin without irritating it has been my goal since college years. Thankfully, I found Kojie San.

Kojie San Kojic Soap is the only lightening soap that works well on my dry sensitive skin. It does not leave my skin tight or course after use. I can even go on the day without applying any lotion because it is made up of high grade virgin coconut oil which help hydrates my skin.
I am a few days before my fifth month of pregnancy and I am very glad that I have not yet experienced any darkening issues on the nape or armpit area. Kojie San Products really helped maintain my skin color and gives it a beautiful glow. Overall, I highly recommend Kojie San to Filipinas who would like to achieve radiant light skin without the harmful side effects of harsh chemicals that stripped the skin of its natural pigment.
"Since 2007, Kojiesan has been consistently producing their Kojic Acid soap blending high-grade Kojic Acid & virgin coconut oil with effective lightening ingredients that keeps dark pigmentation from forming and inhibits the activity of tyrosinase, the enzyme that produces melanin. Melanin is the pigment responsible for the skin’s darker color.

Despite its massive multinational competition, Kojiesan’s formulation turned out to be the key ingredient in convincing local whitening fans to become true believers. Today, it is the number one Kojic Acid soap in the Philippines.

With regular use, Kojiesan can slow down melanin production and prevent darkening of the skin. It is best for treatment to even out skin tone, erase dark spots and other forms of skin pigmentations. It also corrects skin discoloration and of course lightens skin. Kojiesan products do not contain any hydroquinone, mercury or steroid that may cause further skin irritation like blisters, swelling and severe allergy."

P.S. I really hope Kojie San will expand their lightening range and feature - body scrub and underarm cream.

Have you tried Kojie San Lightening Range?

Thanks also for the info I will recommend it to my friends and pa read ko po tong review na to para malaman niya na nakakatulong ito sa darkening issues on the nape or armpit area di lang sa nagbubuntis at sa ibang may issue pa.

  4. My sister swears by Kojie San soap and she always recommend it to me. However, no matter how long or frequent I use it, seems like it's not "hiyang" to my skin. Last month, I also tried the lotion, but there's no significant change. My skin didn't lighten :| I guess Kojie San products are not for me.

  8. I tried Kojie San soap for 6 months, but I did not notice any changes in my skin. So, I just tried using other soaps because I think the product was not effective for me. Maybe I should try using all the products to see great results.

  10. I've only tried their face products and the kojic soap itself, but I haven't had the chance to try the body lotion. I loved their soap because when I took swimming lessons, it was the one I used to prevent the parts of my skin exposed to the sun from being 5 shades darker than the rest covered up by my swimwear! It works really well and any peeling isn't that visible. However the face creams and toner weren't that forgiving for my oily skin. I looked like a grease ball by the 2nd hour. I might give the body lotions a try though! I also know that they have a sunscreen line, so maybe that's another good product to try because it's lightening and sun protection combined. :)

  14. Never tried Kojie San products before but I always see their products in the supermarket. to be honest, i have a fear of using this product akala ko kasi they have intense chemicals. good thing you've mentioned that it is made of natural products. I also like that it a lightening not a whitening product. do you use this on your face? after reading yours and Lis Lanuzo's review, i will definitely try this product since i want na mag pantay skin ko.. hehe :)

  15. I have sensitive skin that's why I am using cetaphil. But it's so expensive that I can't maintain using it! I have tried kojic before and as far as I can remember I am not having any breakouts or irritation. I am not really after having my skin white, gusto ko lang tlaga, yung safe and gentle. So I guess, I must gave Kojic a try, again!

  17. My mom and I has been using Kojie San since grade school palang ako. Now that I am already in college, super consistent pa rin ng paggamit namin ng mother ko dito. Even the soap alone helps my skin retain its natural shade. Sobrang kabog niya lang hahaha! Kojie San is mainly for lightening the skin but what amazes me is that it can also control breakouts po. As in. I have tried lots of drugstore Kojic Soap but nothing feels like this. Super bango, super gentle on skin and non-drying. To be honest, never ko pa na-try yung ibang Kojie San products but I have been eyeing the toner. Hopefully, I could buy one so that I can try it on my uneven skin tone, scars and blemishes. Ms, D. Have you tried the toner na po? Does it contain alcohol? Does it sting?

  19. haven't tried these products pa but I've seen them already at SM, I might try the soap and toner...

is it ok to use these products now that you're pregnant? kasi nung preggy ako i was advise not to use any whitening, lightening and those harmful chemicals na bawal sa buntis.. I only used organic products esp sa makeup...

  20. I used Kojie-san Dream White dati. And I guess hindi para sakin yung mga ganun katapang na products. I don't know if it was only me or talagang may sting after gamitin. Mahapdi sa balat ko at nagbabalat. I feel that my skin is irritated. I'm naturally fair and I just need to lighten my complexion. So kami, no choice kung hindi gamitin yung binili niya. And I found some naman. Maybe I will try the Kojie-san Skin Lightening Soap, and let's see kung ano magiging resulta sa balat ko.

I just.tried their.soap 2x yung nakita q sa grocery at watsons po. But not sure kung eto un. Anyway, i liked its whitening effect and wont leave the skin feeling dry. Kaso di ba nga kapag gumamit ng mga soaps na ganito need at least 5-10mins para mas magsettle at effective yung whitening effect.. dahil nga ako yun always in a hurry kaya po un... di naging mas effective. Ahahah.
