My title post sounds so enticing, I know all of you are expecting that I will be bombarding you with tons of gifts that I received. Nah.. I just got a few things. :) BF gifted me with this boxing gloves that are colored pink!! (I exclaimed in the sports store when I saw this and he immediately paid for it. Thanks JOD!) I finally decided to lose my flabs and jogging does not work me because I am too lazy to wake up early in the morning. Ohh I don't only want to lose weight but I really want to achieve a bikini bod! Am I too old for that? haha Well I saw this deal on a group buying sight and decided to give boxing a try. I have two sessions already and damn it is addicting. I could get enough of the machismo feel at the elorde gym. Throwing punches felt liberating. My body ached a lot after my first session.
Do you think my trainer won't mind if I will match my pink gloves, hot pink shoes with a pink lipstick? :)
I will do a separate blog post about my boxing sessions after I see any progress.. :)
I also bought this hand wrap which cost me 550 pesos!!! With a few hundreds, I could have bought two Revlon Kissable Lipbalm Stain! They are currently on sale and I have been eyeing them for months now.
Another gift that I got was from my beloved Aunt from NYC! :) My first beauty book. I can't wait to read this over the Holidays while sipping hot chocolate or Nescafe Creamy White Latte (my addiction).
Guess what? My Aunt even have the book signed by Bobbi Brown herself. :) yay!!! Isn't she the coolest!! Thanks Tita Love you so much.
That's about it.. Btw, I also received a Latisse Lash Enhancer from an officemate during our Christmas Party. I used it tonight. I will post updates about this soon. That's about it.
Whenever someone would peek inside my bag, they would immediately comment, "ano yan makeup bag?" Yes. I am guilty of bringing excessive makeup in my bag. There are times that I bring 3-4 lipsticks a day as if my job requires my lip color to change every after two hours. Despite this fact, I never forget my daily essentials in the office. I bring two bags to the office. One bag contains my notebooks, case files, and etc. while the other contains my makeup and other necessities. Here are the things that I bring with me everyday. Warning: No makeup in this post. :)
My Iphone. Are you loving my cute Aztec book cover and the pink studded bunny ear cap? I bought the casing and the ear cap at St. Francis Square. The case costs 230 pesos and the ear cap costs 100 pesos.
If there's one thing I am not good at, that will be time management. I tend to forget a lot of things especially my schedule. I never thought that this profession would require me the mastery of handling my time. One woman lawyer told me at a hearing, "Panyera, you need a planner. Your life depends on it." At the back of my mind, I told myself "Using my Iphone is fine, no need for planners. That is for oldies." Then, after attending two hearings of forgetting the schedules for the next trial, I knew I have to get a planner asap. I searched far and wide for the best planner. I even spent an hour browsing every planner in the National Bookstore but came home empty handed (choosy lang!!). The new Starbucks Planner is the best I have seen. However, until now, I am still gathering my Starbucks stickers. Poorita lang talaga aketch! Thus, I bought a new planner already in case I will never complete the stickers. I bought the planner at SM Department Store for 299 pesos (I think) and it looks professional-ish for my taste and with a touch of pink. I also keep a separate notebook for my notes, list of expenses, and etc.
My wallet. Sana dumami na pera ko..Wishing this will be LV, Chanel or kung ano mang brand na pang donya haha (sarap lang mangarap divah?!)
I also bring with me my Rayban Shades everyday.
I have my pang porma pen from Waterman, Paris. This is a gift from my Aunt after I took the bar. She hinted that I need this when I become a lawyer. She was right. I use this pen in only in court to look big time!hahha I love my Pilot and M&G pen more. :)
Also, I never leave the house without my umbrella and handkerchief.
How about you? What are your daily bag essentials?Godbless everyone!
On November 13th, I will be turning 20 something. Okay.. I know you all want to know how old I am. I am turning 27 years old and I am not married!Gasps! Haha Anyways, BF gave me this early birthday gift. A book from Max Lucado which I badly need right now. Last year, he gave me a book from Joel Osteen. It was hard for me creating this birthday wishlist. I do not have anything particular in mind unlike before. I tried to drain my brain for things I want to receive on my special day. Here they are:
(picture from Nikkor USA) Another Nikkor lens. :) I hope BF is reading this post. hehe
(picture from beeconomic.com) A professional makeup course at any local makeup school. I really want to take a course as a professional makeup artist. I was about to enroll months ago but backed out the last minute.
(picture from maybelline website) For beauty products, I can't think of any but I would like to own the complete set of Maybelline Color Tattoo. Any high end or low end blush or lipstick will make me happy! A few of the high end makeup products that I want to try are OCC Lip Tars, Benefit Cosmetics, Urban Decay palettes and loads of MAC products! I want Sleek Pout Paints instead of OCC Lip Tars!
(picture from BDJ Planner Facebook) BDJ Live Planner I learned from Aya of Codenameaya that BDJ carries a planner with black leather covering. I badly need a planner to organize my schedules for the coming year. Election time will make me a very busy person. :)
(picture from newyorkgirlstyle.com)
White Blazer and Dresses and new office clothes I want to amp up my closet with trendier office clothes! I might be treating myself to a shopping spree on my birthday.
That's it! I promise to be back on track with beauty blogging. :)
Hello MLI Readers! This is my second post for today. :) Before I hit the sack, I want to share these pictures I took this morning . I love taking pictures of anything. I was testing my new lens. I took all pictures without flash but the color turned out very vivid. What do you think? These flowers are from my lola's small garden.
My mother and lola are feng sui freaks... No more explanation needed for this photo.. hihi
These two snowmen can actually sing provided they have battery. HAha
Hi everyone! I finally got the package that my bestfriend sent me! I asked her to buy me these Revlon products because I thought these will never get to our local counters! I am looking forward to the Revlon Whipped Foundation! Waahhh! There is a huge Youtube hype on that product. Anyways, I finally got a new primer! Yehey! Also, I have been lemming for this L'oreal Carbon Black Mascara for months. Again, a lot of Youtube Gurus are raving about this one.
My bestfriend also sent me these BBW stuff. Nasurprise ako!#kalurkey In fairness, I love the scent. Thank you Bes! I hope I could be there with you on your special day. I am so excited and happy that God gave you a beautiful blessing. I will pray for you and my inaanak. :)
I have finally bought a palette. I was contemplating on what palette should I get that is perfect for traveling. Something that would fit perfectly in my makeup kit. I bought this palette online but this is available at our local counters. I chose this because it has a mixture of matte and shimmery eye shadows. The colors are very suitable for office makeup. I am also planning on getting an In2it palette in the shade Sorbet Deluxe. . Since I cannot go wild with colors for office makeup, I might as well enjoy the tamed hues like pinks and greens. Divah?!
A Sleek Palette of my own. I got the shade in Aruba which is a bright matte orange. I am lemming for Pan Tao and Suede shades. I bought this for 400 pesos only exclusive of shipping.
I also got myself a new mascara from 4u2 which in all honesty sucks big time! Review to follow soon. haha Ohhh I love blogging about my rants on products. Haha When I hate a product, I would even go an extra mile just to tell my readers not to buy that product. I am now advising everyone not to buy this mascara! tsk tsk This only costs 194 pesos. Whateves. 194 is still money right?! So, if you plan on buying mascara and you do not know what brands are the best? I think that you can never go wrong with Maybelline or Covergirl.
I also bought this Wet n Wild Lipstick in Sugar Plum Fairy for 299 pesos. I miss buying Wet n Wild lipsticks on ebay for 54 pesos only! I bought my Color Icon Lippies for only a fraction of a price two years ago. This shade is a dead ringer for MAC Rebel. I am not into bold and dark lip shades because my lips are really pouty and I have overbite. That being said, I do not want to waste 1000 pesos for something I will not use always so I got the dupe instead. Like I always say. THERE'S ALWAYS A DUPE OUT THERE. Something that will never break the bank but at par with the high end brand.
Yesterday, I went to the K-Palette event and I had a wonderful time meeting the other bloggers again. However, I really enjoyed talking with Jes Roque. She's such a sweetheart and super duper sexy. While we were talking, she told me to use makeup remover instead of toner. Hence, I bought this Purederm Cleansing tissues. I was looking for The Face Shop in Gateway but sadly I found none. They have this budget friendly wipes that I wanted to buy last month. I got this Cleansing Wipes for only 99 pesos. Not bad noh?! I tried it last night and it was okay. It did not remove my mascara and eyeliner so I still have to use my Pond's Cold Cream.
When I attended the Glaminar Workshop, Anna stressed the need to use toner before putting on moisturizer. She was also raving about MAC Fix Spray that time. Then I found this at Watsons for only 129 pesos I think. :) Let's see if this will work on me.
That's it everyone.
Have a blessed Sunday. At the end of the day, let us not be consumed with trivial matters and material things. There are things in life that matters most than makeup, clothes and shoes.
Hi everyone. No, there is nothing wrong with your computer or your internet browser. I do not know how to start this post or even end it. I am right now really sad. No. The right term is devastated. I had been blogging for years. I take pride on how I take pictures. Why? Because I take time to shoot the products and swatches and my fotd's. I never settled for okay. I wanted to upload the best pictures. I could take pictures as many 100 per post and I would choose the best among the bunch. I did not know that everything will all be gone just like that. My BF accidentally deleted all my pictures. My pictures in picasa web was synced to his Samsung Galaxy S2. Thinking all of the pictures were downloaded to his phone. He deleted them not knowing he deleted what is in my blog as well. I just learned it this morning. He does not have any idea too.
It seems as if my blog finally reached its natural death. I never thought that it will be too soon. I was actually planning on blogging about my future wedding preparations in the coming years or my upgrade on cosmetics escapade as I am now earning my own money.
Honestly, I do not know if I will still continue blogging. I lost hope. I lost the urge. 400 plus posts and 2000 + photos over the years, my blog now looks an empty space. I do not know how to rebuild it again. I could only upload pictures that my old computer still have. I cannot fill up all the void. It will take time for me to reupload everything. I am really sad. I do not know what to do right now. I was thinking of all the time my eyes would twitch when I take photos with flash or my arms would get tired in taking the proper pictures. No amount of money can pay all the hours I have spent on this blog. The passion I poured on everything I do. I was crying a while ago and still right now.
We have tried retrieving everything but we cannot.
I do not know what to do. Should I still continue or bid goodbye to you?
I decided to go to 168 a while ago and I did not even buy anything at all. I got stuck there for hours waiting for my dad because of the heavy downpour of rain. After a few minutes, the streets were flooded. Oh come on City of Manila?! Are you joking me? Just a few minutes of hard rain and the streets were flooded just like that? Tsk tsk..
Anyways, I was starting to get too bored lurking the busy pasilios of 168 when I chanced upon a store filled with lights and Makeup?! Yup, I headed straight to the store and saw Urban Decay, Nars and Benefit Cosmetic and MAC Cosmetics. Obviously, all are fake. I asked the saleslady, where cosmetics were these are made? She replied with confidence , "These are Singapore Made." WTH?! It does not matter where these Cosmetics are made because bottomline is -- all are fake!! Guess, it is not only Mac Cosmetics that are being counterfeited in the market. Now, they are more brands.
I asked how much the Boi-ing concealer was and it was being sold for shockingly 150 pesos.
There you go guys. Be careful with Singapore made cosmetics and be ever cautious buying online. I have seen Benefit Cosmetics on Ebay being for sold half the price.
The general rule is do not buy online especially if you are not familiar with the seller and the authenticity of the items being sold.
I must admit that I had been remiss in blogging lately. yay!! Imagine my horror when my list of products to review is getting longer!! Waahh!! Anyways, Manila or shall I say the whole Philippines is soooo hot these days!Ohhh Btw, I am already running out of my Mosbeau Facial Cream and I need a new moisturizer asap!! Any good recommendations? Anyways, Sweety Pink Cosmetics (http://www.sweetypinkcosmetics.com/) contacted me if Iwant to feature their new site in my blog. They sent me these awesome goodies to review. I chose everything. haha I am very curious with the Lipcote. Have you heard of this already? It is a lipstick sealer and it makes your lipsticks lasts longer. I tried it yesterday and so far so good. I told my boyfriend that I am wearing it and tried kissing him on the cheeks. My lipstick did not transfer. He told me that I should include him in the review showing a picture of me kissing him and a proof that my lipstick stayed on. lol I think I should it on with a lipstick since I applied on top of my NYX matte soft lip cream in San Paulo. It also claims to mattify the lipstick. Very promising right? I also got two Barry M lipstick. I love the consistency and pigmentation of Barry M lipstick. They lasts longer too compared to most of my other lipsticks. I got Pink Ribbon and Sunset. I also got the Beauty Uk Blush in Royal Rose. Another baked blush for me,, :D I still want a Milani Coralina!!!
These are the products from Elite Minerals. The eyeshadow primer is really creamy. The eyeshadow Candy Girl is a very beautiful pink shadae with golden sheen!!! I can even wear it as a blush. This summer I like anything light on my face. No layering of products for now. I want everything to feel light and natural on my skin, Thanks to Mineral Makeup, BB cream and Pressed Powder!!! I still have one mineral foundation to review the one from Priori! I am not a fan of foundations with slight shimmers but this one is an exception.
This is where I spent my Holy week. This is shot of Mt. Maculot Cuenca Batangas. Hi to all my readers who are from Batangas!! Ala eh!! My mom inherited this huge place and we are very thankful for this haven. I just want to share to you that there was this guy who told my dad that would give us 2,000 pesos for every tree that he will cut!! My dad was like NO WAY!! A tree costs more than that. Tsk Tsk.. Oh people these days.. They think that they can buy everything with money. Hopefully, I can take pictures of products that I will reviewing today!! :D
Hi everyone! Here are a few reasons why women should wear makeup!!! :D
Enhancing your Best Features – Everyone has a favorite facial feature they can enhance with makeup – whether it’s alluring eyes, high cheekbones, a perfect pout, or even an awesome eyebrow arch. Makeup lets you control which features standout on any given day and which ones you want to take a backseat.
Blending a Blemish – It’s easy to say you prefer the “natural look” until you’re faced with a giant pimple or raccoon tan lines from sunglasses. It’s comforting to know that when you need it, makeup can give you the confidence to face the world on what might otherwise be a day you want to hide. It’s also nice to know that corrective concealers have come a long way from cakey, oily products that worsen skin to mineral and antibacterial-infused products that can actually heal and hide at the same time.
Colors for All Occasions – The limitless numbers of cosmetic shades mean you can match your makeup to your outfit and occasion. Pick pinks and peaches for a feminine fun look, red lips and smoky eyes for an evening out or shimmery nudes for a day of fun in the sun. Cosmetology schools can teach you to go even further with your makeup palette and pick colors that flatter your individual skin tone.
Affordable Luxury – With so many cosmetics on the market today, companies need to price their products competitively to stay in the game. Luckily, consumers benefit from this by having the option to buy virtually any product for just a few bucks. You can treat yourself to a new lipstick, eye shadow or nail color, all for the price of a cup of coffee. You can’t say the same for a new haircut or outfit.
Self-Expression – The truly artistic makeup aficionado has an eye for design and knows that cosmetics can be a creative outlet – if that’s the way you choose to use them. Those who aren’t creative often see makeup as a chore that’s messy, time-consuming and expensive. But if you’re fortunate enough to be the creative type, you probably already know about the fun that comes with expressing your inner vamp with a liquid cat’s eye liner one day and your inner rock star with pop-art makeup the next. If you want help learning to use make-up as a medium for your art, you can check out art and design classes to get tips and tricks from experts.
Cosmetics as Costuming – To truly appreciate the power of makeup, follow a makeup artist around for a day on a film set and see how makeup goes hand-in-hand with prosthetics and wardrobe to tell a tale. If everyday makeup is a form of self-expression, makeup for film and theatre is truly a transformative storytelling tool that we can all appreciate as art.
I was polishing and cleaning a bunch of shoes in my closet a while ago because I will be hunting for a job. (Finally!! I know my parents are soo happy when I announced this to them. Haha). Oh please someone hire me!! haha These shoes have been there like forever and I have not even used most of them. I am not into heels. Why? because I am very clumsy and I walk like a gangster. In local parlance "siga ako umasta." Yes, I love makeup and I am maarte but that does not mean I am very posh and graceful!! Hell no! How I wish I was noh. I think I have more boyish ways than girlish attitude from eating habits to walking. And you do not want to hear my big deep voice. I sound so gay most of the times. haha I remembered that when I wore my favorite high heels in school before;I fell down from the stairs. Guess who is in the background of that scene (my law school crushie.. Yes I have a crush noh! And I told my boyfriend for 10 years about him.. haha I know I am such a weirdo.. I have the guts to write this on my blog because that guy was so last 2 years ago.. haha ) Anyways, those are my two favorite heels. The Calvin Klein one looks perfect in any outfit. Be it a dress or jeans. My favorite brand of high heels - Naturalizer. I can walk, run and even jump wearing them. hehe They feel so comfortable.
I know animal prints are everywhere. I am loving them too. I never thought I will be into them. I even remember seeing grandmothers wear these kind of prints before. I am now in the process of overhauling my closet. I am incorporating more formal and professional looking clothes!! I feel so old. Waahh. I am having a hard time buying clothes. We are advised by my grandmother that we must not wear clothes with happy shades/colors like red, pink, orange and the like because of my grandfather's death. This will be for one year. I came from an average and very traditional Filipino family and I respect this custom of ours.
I was supposed to do a makeup tutorial blog post about this look. I just added falsies for drama but you can do this look for 5 mins. only I only use one shade of eyeshadow!! This is a very quick and natural look for everyday. I was not very happy with the turn out of the photos. I did this look this evening. Look at my brows looking tacky with foundation. Waah. I need to fix my brows asap. I am having a hard time filling them with brow powder.
The bar exams did not only cause me emotional and mental torture. It also made me heavier. It was on my second month of review that I have decided to let go of my weight. I am the usual 108-110 lbs. but I cannot study without eating more than I used to. I ate a lot during that 6 months. I just literally binge on anything. I ate 5 times a day at least. I ate breakfast at 5 am then I get hungry around 9am, lunch by 11 or 12noon, then I ate meryenda at around 4pm then dinner. Sometimes, I even eat after dinner. My brain just do not work without food. I know it was an excuse but I cannot sacrifice my exams. I just can't. I usually eat rice even during meryenda. Yes. I love rice to the nth level. I can eat rice with ketchup alone. Disgusting? I love it!!! haha The results - I gained 10 lbs. The worst part? I think all the fats went to my tummy because I sit for hours when studying. My grandmother asked me once, "are you pregnant?" My reaction was a mixture of bewilderment and sadness. I know you all think that I am not fat at 120.1 lbs but my tummy is ust too distracting. It is very evident on the pictures right?
I cannot wear anything now. I just can't go out because my pants can't fit me anymore. I have to squeeze myself into them. Thank goodness my boyfriend loves me for who I am because I just felt so ugly during my review. I am determined to lose weight as I was determined to gain it during the review months. I can do this. My eating habits are really bad. I love eating carbs and sweets. A little veggies will do for me. I love stuffing my tummy with junk foods, chocolates and soda. I also blame my addiction for milk tea for my weight gain. I can drink two large milk teas in a day with extra sugar please. wahh.. I love chatime, serenitea, moonleaf, teatap cafe and happy lemon.
I started my diet last week. I have a fast metabolism. Thank you, Lord. I steered away from rice and ate more healthy foods. I also ran on the thread mill for 15 mins. then day after day I add more minutes. Now I can do 30 mins. with some 1-3minutes breaks in between. No iced tea or soda for me. Just water ,fresh juice, and green tea. From 120.1 lbs, I am now 116.8 lbs but my tummy looks like that of Mr. Bogus so I need to exercise more. I already prepared an exercise routine.. :D yey. I want to live healthy. I want to be fit and feel beautiful inside out. I posted these pictures to challenge myself that I can achieve the weight and body I want. It will take me a lot of hardwork and I just need loads of motivation to do this.
My boyfriend gave me this as a post birthday gift. He asked me what do I want for my birthday and I want a running/ workout shoes. And his initial reaction was, "Is that for real? not makeup??". haha I just have to get hot pink because pink is my favorite color.
I also bought a yoga mat. Is it usually worth 500 pesos?? I find this too pricey. tsk.
This is me 2 years ago. My body is still proportioned then. haha.. I am far from being sexy but I feel good with my size before. I am 5'2 in height. My ideal body weight is 105 lbs. I will achieve it. I must.
I can't get enough of them. How I wished I watched this show live. I MUST lose weight not to the point of being skin and bone. Just lose the excess fat I gained from my review (excess fat ba ang 10 pounds? haha). I am so inspired that it makes me wanna run on the threadmill all day. Adam Levine is so hot.. wahhh.. The scene where he kissed Anne V was so epic. It really deserves a slow motion. haha
I find this ad sexier. I love women in suits. You do not have to bare skin to look HOT!
