I have a long list products that I am excited to blog about but I decided to start with the Tartlette palette. I have been lemming for this palette for quite sometime now. Everytime I met a beauty blogger or a makeup enthusiast, I would tell her about this palette. Haha Ganon ko siya kagusto!!! I have been contemplating on buying one since the time I saw it online but due to its hefty price tag (2400 pesos), it took me some time before I finally caved in. The selection of the colors of this palette is simply gorgeous. It has all the matte colors I dream of using for my wedding makeup. This palette is an all matte palette and it contains 12 neutral shades (but mostly cool tones). This is one of the palettes that look so good on the pan and looked even more beautiful when swatched but the ultimate question here is -- Did I like it? Is it worth my 2400?
To be blunt about it --- NO!! I really tried to make it work for me. This has a high review rating on makeupalley and I am one those few who did not like this palette. Before going into details, feast your eyes on the lovely photo of this palette.
Ang ganda niya. These were my first few words when I opened this palette. May kasama pang Wow!!! Just by looking at it, I can imagine the eye makeup I can do with it. Look at how pigmented this palette is?
This palette deserves an A+ for color selection. Pigmentation is beyond awesome. My brush can readily pick up the pigment even at the slightest dab on the pan and it goes on smoothly even with the use of my fingers. The packaging is one the best I have ever seen in the market. Better than UD Naked3. The shadows feel buttery and creamy when applied. Look at my arm swatch. The makeup addict in me was jumping with glee when I was doing this. I immediately did eye makeup trial for about three nights straight. When I first tried doing my eye makeup with this palette, I was totally dismayed on myself. Take note on myself. I doubted my blending skills because I cant come up with teh colors I want. All I end up is a flat looking and muddy eye makeup. I even thought of hiring a makeup artist on my wedding day when I was practicing with this palette. Sabi ko wala na ang magic skills ko. I became nervous. Then , i told myself perhaps I am not using a good base or the colors I am using are not a good mix. So, I tried it the next night and the nught thereafter. Waley pa rin!!!!!! I decided to look up reviews of this palette and lo and behold I am not the only one experiencing this way. The colors are not blendable at all. If I try to mix the brown shade with a mauve one,i will end up with a muddy mauve color. This palette does not jive with my eye makeup technique. I am that kind of mua that use more than 4 colors to get my desired eye makeup. Yes kahit hanggang 6-7 shades keri ko. I am a blending addict and I love texture and gradient on my eye makeup. I do not subscribe in limiting eye shades with lid, crease and browbone highlight. The more the merrier and peg ko and with these palette no matter how hard I try moxing the shades I just cant create the texture I want. This palette is best if you use 1 to colors only. I also tried mixing it with my ud palette but it still did not work.

Overall, this palette is a miss for me. I immediately sold this palette for 1750 online and I got myself a Morphe 35N palette. Bottomline is - these shadows are smooth but chalky and are extremely unblendable. Have you tried this palette? Is it a hit or miss for you?
Godbless!
