Milani Baked Blush in Fantastico Mauve

Good morning everyone!!!  My sorority sister who was also the lady who brought Sophia Lash Serum here in the country went to the USA months ago. She was asking me what makeup will she bring to the Philippines. I insisted that she brings Milani to the Philippines!! She already visited the manufacturing site of Milani and Jordana. When I went to see her weeks ago, I can't help but rummage through her bags which she said were given to her by Milani as samples!! Btw, she is really having qualms if she'll bring Milani to the Phils.but for now she is brewing a new mineral makeup line that I am really excited. I got to try the samples she had in her office! One of the few products that I am looking forward to is the Green Tea Line and Hide a Pore Veil. All her minerals were from USA. Excited much! Moving on, I was lucky enough to find this Baked Blush in one of her plastic bags filled with makeup goodies. I have heard a lot of good thing about Milani's Baked Blush. I am actually lemming for Coralina!!

My first baked blush ever. I am so thrilled to see the marbleized details. I was actually thinking that the shade would definitely be a plummy rose on me.

It came with a mirror and a very scratchy brush. Almost all brushes that comes in a blush compact are useless and scratchy!

The beautiful blend of colors with gold, white, purple pink.. yay.. It looks so pretty on the pan.
The shade is not plummy rose as I thought it would appear on my skin. Instead, the color looks like a warm berry-ish mauve shade with golden sheen. Can you see the tiny fleck of gold and blue shimmers? the shade compliments my yellow medium skin tone. My skin radiates with this color. Honestly, I prefer fresh and vibrant colors but this shade looks so posh and perfect for everyday wear .

My thoughts on this blush:
The packaging of this blush is really nice. The gold shiny compact is a far cry from most drugstore blushes that looks tacky. The color payoff  is good. I only have to lightly swipe it on the apples of my cheek to get a beautiful glowing finish. It lasted on me four hours without retouch. I like this that it still gives me a tiny bit of color after a few hours without looking all washed out completely.  I am not a fan of shimmery blushes but this one is one of the few exceptional shimmery blushes that I am in love with. Perhaps, the hot weather here in the Philippines made me love this blush because of the warm golden sheen it creates in my cheeks. I do not find the shimmers over powering at all, although it did highlight my rashes. The texture is very smooth and it easily blends on my skin. Sadly, this is not locally available in the Philippines. I would definitely buy more colors.

  2. I like the pigmentation of this blush..and I agree the brushes that come with blushes are either too flimsy or just plain scratchy ^^,
