Hada Labo Review (Philippines)

If there is one product ingredient that my skin truly love that is no other than - Hyaluronic Acid. Hyaluronic acid is known to strengthen the skin’s barrier, maximize moisture retention and helps improve skin elasticity. Hada labo sent me their products more than a month ago. Since then, I have been using their Hydrating Facial Wash, Hydrating Water Gel, and of course the Hydrating Lotion which is the star product of Hada Labo being Japan's No. 1 facial lotion. Hada Labo is not new to me because I am a fan of their products particularly their lotion for years. I also love their Hydrating Milk Lotion which I hope they bring here because it doubles as a toner and moisturizer in one.

Let me share with you my thoughts about these products:
Hada Labo Hydrating Facial Wash - The facial wash of Hada Labo come in three variants. They also have Hydra and Whitening Facial Wash and the Deep Clean and Pore Refining Facial Wash. The Hydrating Facial Wash is a creamy cleanser that has a subtle scent. I could not exactly describe the scent of this wash as it is not close to herbal or perfumey at all. This facial wash is not stripping and feels moisturizing on the skin. This has been my go to facial wash and I alternately use it with a local brand. My skin does not feel dry or tight after using it.

Hada Labo Hydrating Lotion - This lotion contains four types of Hyaluronic Acid and claims to penetrate the layers of the skin for a more effective hydration. This is one of the first few skincare products that I fell in love.

This is lightweight and very watery. This lotion is meant to be used after a toner but I use it in place of a toner or as my first essence. I find that it works best on my dry skin when I apply it on moist skin after washing my face. This instantly hydrates and softens my skin. I just use two layers to prep my skin. 2 years ago, I tried applying using the 7 skin method and I developed zits. I think 1-2 layers is enough for our humid weather. This does not feel greasy at all and does not have any fragrance. I really hope they bring all their lotion variants. I really want to try the Premiun Gokujyun Lotion that is perfect for mature skin.
Hada Labo Water Gel Cream - This is the first time I have heard about this product from Hada Labo. This has a mild citrusy acid scent. It comes in a light blue gel cream and gives that cooling sensation. This gel cream seals the deal when it comes to layering skincare products. It does not add a heavy feel or greasy texture to my routine. This is easily absorbed by my skin once applied. I also love using this on its own sans any other product since it can lightly hydrate my face without that tacky feel esp. when I am just a home.

  1. I've seen this in watsons and I was very curious because Japan skin care products always have great ingredients.
