Hello blogosphere! It seemed as if I have been gone for a long time in the blogging scene due to personal reasons. :) My first makeup purchases for 2014 are from San San. I bought this HD foundation and the HD Concealer because I was sold the moment I swatched them. I was really impressed with the shade selection (just because I found my perfect my match.. as in super perfect!). The High Definition Foundation has three shades to choose from: Olive, Natural and Beige. Natural has a slight pinkish/beige tint to it, Beige has light yellow tones while Olive has medium yellow tones. I was torn between Beige and Olive because I swatched the foundation at the back of my hand and my arms are way darker than my face color. Eventually, I settled for olive. I told myself that if this foundation will work, I will just get another shade if Olive does not suit me. I immediately tried the foundation when I got home. I got even more amazed when I applied this all over my face! Olive looked PERFECT (yep, you read it right!!I always have a hard time getting my right shade but this one is LOVE LOVE LOVE) on my skin. It looked like my skin but way better.
I love the packaging of San San because of the Pump Bottle. It looks so posh. It does not look 195 pesos noh? I just hated the shiny violet cover. Had it been a matte black cover, ay ang sosyal lang noh!
This foundation has SPF 30. Despite this, San San HD Foundation proved to be photogenic even with flash. My face looked poreless and there were no white cast in photos.
The first thing I noticed about this foundation was its texture. This goes on very creamy on the skin. It is not runny nor too thick. It felt like a melted cream foundation that easily blends on the skin. Surreal? This is real! hehe
Next, the awesome pigmentation. One layer can cover even my most stubborn pimple marks and evens out my skin tone like a dream. Okay. I sound exaggerated already but you can refer to my photos below for comparison and proof.

Can you see the redness on and mark on my forehead? How about my uneven skin tone, reddish areas above my mole and dark eye bags on my before picture? If you compare it with the after photo, my skin looked flawless and poreless! Wahh As you can see, this foundation has a dewy finish, thus, setting it with powder is a must.
The scent smells like choco or mocha like their old Oil Finish Foundation. I have a feeling (I might be wrong) that this was just a reformulation of the old version.
Staying Power is ok if you are inside an airconditioned room. During hot/humid days, however, this tends to make my tzone oily. Also, the Manila heat washes out the foundation quickly. I suggest wearing a good primer underneath if you plan to use this outside for long hours. To prevent oiliness, I used Snoe HD powder which works really well with this foundation.
I love this foundation because my skin feels supple after using it because I do feel that it has a bit of moisturizing properties. My skin does not look flaky nor patchy.
Overall, this foundation is an awesome find. I just do not know if it will work with oily skin. For 195 pesos, this is one of the best local liquid foundations I have ever tried. I will post my San San Concealer review within the week.
