My Hair Transformation by Rina and Boss Salon

Hello everyone! I was invited by Rina and Boss Salon to try out their services. Rina and Boss Salon is a premier Korean Salon in Quezon City. Actually, I was a bit skeptical at first  because it was my first time to hear about Rina and Boss. Also, I did not find a lot of reviews about Rina and Boss online but their facebook page and instagram featured a lot of their  beautifulbworks.

Rina and Boss Salon is located at 67 Scout Rallos st, brgy Sacred Heart  corner Tomas Morato. I booked an afternoon appointment and two Korean stylists greeted me with a smile. They asked me what service do I want to avail and I told them that I wanted hair color with highlights. I saved photos of my pegs/ hair inspo on my phone and showed them to Zoey. Zoey is the Korean Stylist who colored and cut my hair. She is very nice and accommodating. She even tried to answer all my questions  and explain the hair color process despite the language barrier. Contrary to my not so good previous experience with a Korean Salon, the stylists and the employees in Rina and Boss Salon were all very pleasant and accommodating.

I love the modern industrial design of the salon. The place was bright and spacious. Jovelle told me that in Korea, the name of the salon is really Lina and Boss. She also told me that when they were trying to register Lina and Boss before the DTI, the name could not be registered because someone was already using the business name Lina and Boss. Thus, they resorted to using the name, Rina and Boss. Lina and Boss have 14 branches in South Korea and Rina and Boss is their very first branch outside South Korea. The stylists in Rina and Boss are Koreans and the hair products used are also sourced from Korea.
This is by far the most comfortable shampoo chair ever!!!! These have built in back massagers.

This is a before photo of my hair. My before hair situation is evidently a disaster due  to DIY hair color. Zoey explained to me that my hair have three tones. I did not understand her  at first afterwards I asked an employee to take a photo of my hair. I was surprised to see that my hair actually looked crazy! I now understood what Zoey was telling me. The middle portion was light and the ends are dark, then my roots are black. My hair color was awful and I was not aware of it until I went to Rina and Boss.

I had my hair darkened before so the lower part of my hair had to be bleached to ensure that the hair color will look even. Next, they weaved the highlights on my hair. After washing my hair, I saw that the highlights looked platinum blonde. I was so worried that my highlights might look super light. I asked Zoey and the other employees if the highlight color will tone down and they all pacified me by saying that the final process is the actual hair color and the highlights will change. After the hair color, Zoey told me that my hair needs treatment to prevent further damage to my dry tresses. The first treatment was the mucota treatment which was left on my hair for about 5 minutes before the hair color proper. The other treatment was done after the hair color. The treatment was left on my hair for 10 minutes with a steamer. Zoey also did a quick trim on my hair  to remove the dry ends.

The results? Ang Ganda!!!!!!!!!! Sobra!!
I love how my new hair color turned out! See the photos below for my beautiful hair transformation.

Rina and Boss Salon is probably my best Salon experience ever. Aside from the fact that my hair color turned out to be so fab, the salon ambiance is really relaxing and the customer service is of high quality! The employees were very attentive to my needs. Plus, Zoey did a great job in listening to my requests as to how I wanted my hair color to look.
